Nice little hotel right in the center ”

The hotel is just in the middle of the main street of Tanah rata. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Good location and amenities”

The location of the hotel is a plus since it is located in central town of Tanah Rata. So many food stalls and cafe such as Malay restaurants, Mamak stalls, Starbuck and Coffee shop just below the hotel. The room is clean and condition is quite reasonable with the price. There is a cable TV with 4 channels (Fox Movies and Sports channel). There a are lot of mosquitoes in the room. Overall the hotel is value for money. I will come again for sure.

Nice place, pity about the awful beds”

This place is neat and clean, centrally located and apparently recently renovated. The rooms are not very big, but the bathrooms are quite voluminous. Wifi works well, but only 4 channels on TV. There is no mosquito screen on the windows and no other ventilation in the rooms, so either the room gets very stuffy or you spend the night battling with mosquitoes, which is a way to pass the time since the beds are so uncomfortable you can hope for a fitful sleep at best. We changed rooms an even looked at a few more, but all the beds seems to be of the same quality, presumably second-hand from another hotel. The mattresses are something like a topographical depiction of the Cameron Highlands, with undulating peaks and valleys. Back aches guaranteed. If it was a cheap place it might be acceptable, but for the price charged one would expect a comfortable bed at least. On the plus side, the pillows are comfortable and the sheets are clean. But unless the mattresses are replaced I would not recommend staying here at all. It really is a pity, because the beds are the only major downside, but when you pay for a hotel room you expect to be able to sleep. Please change your mattresses Zermatt and install either fans or mosquito screens on the window.

Good Location”

The hotel is clean. It's located in Tanah Rata town. Walking distance to shops and food stalls. There is also a coffee shop when you walk down from the Hotel.

At the heart of Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands”

Right in the centre of Tanah Rata. Close to everything. Within walking distance to the Bus Terminal, restaurants, banks and 7-Eleven. Room is clean and cosy. Staff is friendly.

Great location and value for money ”

Enjoyed ourselves with our lil baby this time at Tanah Rata. Located just along the main street at Tanah Rata with variety of eateries in vicinity, plenty of parking lots (FOC) just across the hotel . Few steps to Starbucks Coffee to enjoy a cuppa . Comfortable bed and decent hot shower .

New Modern Hotel Comfortable stay”

This is a new or newly renovated hotel in Tanah Rata. It was very clean and neat as a pin, not large but bright comfy rooms with modern decor. The bathroom is large with modern fixtures. The shower is part of the room without a partition, so the whole room gets wet. There are English stations (BBC) on the TV. The rooms are cleaned promptly in the morning. There is no lounge/common area in the lobby, no breakfast and no elevator, so you must take the steps to the 2nd and 3rd floors. It is within a block of the bus station and lots of restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is a plaza across the street up a block with more restaurants at the back and a good laundry. We did a visit to the tea hills the Bharat Tea plantation, about 20 minutes by taxi, hiked down into the valley and enjoyed tea and scones at the tea house back at the top. You will have to arrange a taxi for the return as there are none waiting.

Good location on Main Street in Tanah Ratah, rooms away from street are quiet. Hotel is clean and showers hot. Plenty of food opportunities nearby.

Very noisey ”

Zermatt Hotel, Tanah Rata. Close to bus station. New and clean. On a very noisy street but shopping and restaurants are nearby. Also several tour agencies close by. The reception is on the first floor with three rooms on that floor. No lift so it would be a long haul of baggage to upper floors. My room was on the first floor so no problem. Staff is not especially attentive, but rooms are cleaned early. OK size room. Noise from the street is a problem. Terrible mattress Give The Barracks a try for a change of pace restaurant. It's in the block behind the Maybank--not the same block but further on. Seating is in a WW 2 barracks or in a lovely garden. Try a passion fruit or mango lassi.

Avoid if possible ”

This is a sad little hotel. Rooms here are tiny. Hardly enough room to walk around the bed. No place to dump you bag. Bathroom is an open wet room. No AC. TV has about 6 channels, only 2 of which are viewable, the rest are a snow storm. Kettle in the room, but no cups. No hot water in the sink. Shower was cold water then it stopped completely. We complained, were moved to another room. Shower was warm, but almost down to a trickle. Staff are OK, helpful & courteous they are hemmed in by the ineffectual management. Rooms & hotel is clean enough, but the facilities are limited. Good Wi-Fi. This probably was a back packers dos house, but now masquerades as a pretentious 3 star hotel, with none of the attributes. So therefore it is not good value for money. Excellent coffee house downstairs. Good place for breakfast. Try the home made scones. Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands is superb. Loads of trails & country walks to explore, this area is beautiful, isolated & gorgeous.

A Great experience to visit Cameron Highland.”

The location of hotel is very strategic as it is located at the centre of Cameron thus it is very convenient to visit up and down the hill. Besides that, the room is clean and comfortable. Although the room doesn't provide much facilities such as hair dryer and iron, customers can still request from the staffs. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't provide any parking lots for the customers. Sometimes the customer will need to park further especially in peak season.

Very suitable location ”

Near the main road of tanah rata, is convenient for foods and drinks. Near to bus station and car park. Night time is safe and chillin with a cup of Starbucks just couple walks time. Cleanliness might need to improve due to staff was eating inside our room! It cause our room to be smelly

room is not so big. no lift. staff is frenly help me get ready everythg becoz im rush for my tour in cameron.

Too good”

It had all facilities. Hotel interior is very beautiful and welcoming. I loved the room i stayed, very much spacious, comfortable and clean. Our room had a window facing town. Our room also had Astro and free WIFI which is really fast.

Very Clean Place-Great Location”

Location is excellent as its within the center of Thana Rata with lots of restos and cafes around. Very clean place but the only problem with this hotel is that they dont have a lift and you will have to carry your luggage through the stairs.

Above average”

The location is the point. Easy access to bus station and food. However, facility in hotel have to be improved. The water from shower is very little that can not make the hot shower to bath and it is difficult to shower in that too cold shower. The staff(not the manager) is helpful. The manager who has her own business of Cameron tour is too business. If look for tour or taxi rent, please use from outside. For Cameron highlands, the place is nice but the taxi cost is too expensive.

Small entrance.”

We found the rooms clean & pleasant in the centre of Tanah Rata. The staff were pleasant enough but distracted by their phones, any question seemed to be a bit of a bother. The rooms had good wifi & cable tv. As we were cyclist they even allowed us to store our bikes in our room (always a bonus)

An average stay”

The Hotel is very near to the place where we alighted, around 2 minutes walk. The hotel look new and the room is quite clean though a bit small and the bed is ok. There is no fan provided, but the night is quite cold so not a problem. Hair dryer can request from the staff at counter. Toilet is quite spacious for our sizes but spotted some mosquitoes I think. Basic toilet accessories provided. Toilet paper was wet when we check in but get a new roll from the counter after we told the staff. There is no lift and our rooms are at 3rd floor so this is something bad where we need to carry our luggage up the stairs. There are stores around the Hotel where sell variety of food and accessories. There is also a temporary market near the hotel. The check in and out is fast since no deposit for the rooms are required. Overall, our stay is quite ok but believe should be able to get a better hotel (with lift) with the price we are paying. There are quite a number of hotels at that area. Hence, probably will be looking for other hotel next visit.

Simple hotel and very stategic in Tanah Rata. Very near with food shop and banking facilities. Recommended and planning to come again.
