        Outstanding and incredible city accomodation.”

Friendly staff members, fresh and clean; and convenience to access a ton of interesting activities nearby.

My trip was about one night stop by in Ho Chi Minh city for travelling to another city in the next day. It was a bit struggle for me to find a good accommodation with all necessary convenience that I would need to discover a night life in Ho Chi Minh city. It was also a bit of worries before I did my check-in; I did not know whether or not a cheap place might give me some troubles, such as: domestic criminal or quality of the room. But in reality, it flew off my mind at the first time zone-in the hotel, two friendly staff members just welcomed me with a big smile and process my room just in a "tic-tac". Don't let the price fool you, because all essential things in the room are provided, clean bed, big toilet as well as hot water and private compacment to keep your personal belongings. Enjoying the night life in HCMC was such a good experience for me; from the hotel, it took me 15 minutes to metropolised area with many food stalls on the road, and shopping stores at night from the cheap local products to high end and luxury items. If you want to join a night club, it is not hard to visit a local bar, on the way from city back to the hotel. But the most amazing was about overnight food courts, many delicious foods that you can find just near the hotel foodstep, such as: famous Vietnamese pork roll and fruist juice, 30 steps walking from the hotel. You also can order some special Vietnamese food for your breakfast, and I did enjoying special beef noodle soup in the hotel. It is awesome place that you should visit even for your first trip.

        boutique chic”

        lovely interiors, breakfast, accessibility

It's right in the heart of Saigon, within walking distance to Ben Thanh market, and two blocks from the drop off point for buses from Cambodia. Shoes have to be removed before entering the hotel. Flipflops for indoor use were provided, but it would be better if you brought your own house slippers. We booked a superior twin room because we wanted a toilet and bath all to ourselves. The room was tastefully furnished. The beds were comfortable and the linen very clean. Towels were changed everyday. Lighting was muted perhaps to make it conducive to sleeping. The only downside was there was no elevator and our room was on the third floor. We had to carry our bags up 4 flights of stairs Request for a room on the lower floors if you have heavy luggage. Breakfast was healthy and filling: choose from 4 basic options, e.g. bread and scrambled/fried egg + coffee/tea. Buffet of fruits in season, dumplings, cold cuts. Cold drinks were also sold in the dining area which doubles up as a lounge and reception. Johnny made prompt arrangements for our tours and got us tickets to the fantastic AO! Show at the Saigon Opera House. If I get the chance to visit Ho Chi Minh City again, I'll try their dorm room.

Townhouse 50 is the most hospitable 'hostel'!!”

Peace & quiet, staff genuinely cares about your stay

The Townhouse, being my third and final place of residence during my stay in Saigon, really exceeded any expectations I had going into it. I had, unknowingly at the time, reserved the best for last. I was very impressed from the instant I checked in. My room, upgraded to a superior double for a mistake made in the initial reservation process, was top-notch- clean, comfortable, quiet, and all-accomodating. the main customer serviceman, went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was more than enjoyable- the staff assisted in booking tours for me, offered insight regarding the most local eateries/beverages, and arranged for a hotel-airport cab. The free breakfast is made to order and thus served hot and fresh- an array of fresh fruits also available for the taking. I would highly recommend this accommodation to any sort of traveler- budget-minded backpackers, couples looking for a relaxing spot in the city, and even families. Overall, a great stay at a great location- quite centrally located for tourists to walk/pay a small cab fare to the majority of the Saigon sites. Townhouse 50 Saigon will definitely receive any future business from me while visiting Ho Chi Minh City!!

Friendly staff, big rooms, delicious breakfast

We had an amazing stay at town house 50. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they also speak English well. The breakfast was delicious as well and they serve fruits everyday. We booked a triple room but there were four of us so we decided to get an extra bed. We were very comfortable with our room because it was huge as well as our bathroom. It was also very clean and spacious. The hotel is about 10minutes walk from the Ben Than market but we usually ride a taxi going there becauSe it was cheap anyway about 1,2dollars as long as u get the reliable ones which are Vinasun and Mailinh. This hotel is situated in an area that's not far from the main attractions of saigon and still has a quiet atmosphere so you wont be bothered when you sleep at night. Kudos to the the staff namely, Tracy, Johnny and Britney. They made our stay worthwhile and enjoyable. If i come back to Ho chi minh i'll definitely book in this hotel again.

A lovely guest house/hotel within walking distance of all the major sights in Ho Chi Minh. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our double room was very clean and spacious, and the guest house/hotel is very good value for money. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Ho Chi Minh.

        Good experience”

The staffs particularly, Daisy & Johnny, were friendly & very accommodating. They helped us with some of our tours or sight seeing activities. Make up room was exceptional & they always see to it that our towels are changed every day. Complimentary bottled water is also done every day. Getting to the hotel is quite tricky as the signage is small & not easily accessible from the main road. At first impression, you would think that the area is not safe but so far we didn't encounter anything unsafe or bad. The hotel is situated near some of the main attractions of Ho Chi Minh so getting around on foot is easier plus you to get exercise! 😊

        Amazingly unforgettable”

Attentive and friendly staff, amazing backpacker mates to mingle, and beautiful breakfast

It was an amazingly unforgettable experience. Met many international backpacker friends along my 4 night stay there and was served by very attentive and friendly staff especially Johnny. I enjoyed how Johnny assisted me in going to places nearby Ho Chi Minh city that is of high quality. I ended up going to the A O acrobatic show at Saigon Opera immersing myself with the beauty of Vietnamese arts and culture, tale that was told with unique bamboo dance routine. I also went to Chu chi tunnel to learn war history and the highlight one day Mekong Delta trip where I learn and live countryside vietnamese way of life. These two costs me only around USD30 for a full trip! Esp Mekong Delta for those who join bits of adventure, cultural lesson and history of Vietnamese, you will experience real Vietnamese life here. Breakfast was decent, lots of tropical fruits and also love the fact you can choose 1 daily breakfast, I always go for bread and scrambled eggs with some butter and peanut butters. Vietnamese coffee was good too. Room bit small but I enjoyed the stay meeting all people across the world. Friendly people who also seek to learn bout the world. Internet a bit slow but overall very memorable experience except the part I was cheated by the trishaw driver (person who rides bicycle kind of vehicle where you can sit as passenger in front) charging me USD50 just for a 400m ride to Ben Tahn market! Avoid at all costs. Overall I love you Saigon! Until next time Townhouse50

Free breakfast, clean and tidy, good location

We're back to Ho Chi Minh City from other place and choose to stay in this hostel again. This is a pretty good palce for accommodation and it supplies free breakfast every morning which is rather sweet. The hostel is tidy and clean enough for travellers and a wonferful place to meet people from other countries. It's not far from the Pham Ngu Lao Street and you can go for a beer in just 10 minutes walking.

        Small hostel with best care”

        Staffs, Breakfast, Decoration

Everyone in my groups love this place. The alley to the hotel might be a bit scary but you will find heaven in the end. To travel in Ho Chi Minh is a dizziness but when we come back to TownHouse50, it's like coming home because of best staffs (love you, Johnny) and pretty decorations. The only one complaint from me is female dorm has too cold air-con and too thin blanket.

        Gem of Saigon”

        Location, Staff and Comfortness

I only booked 1 night on 17 July 2015 at Town House and had my doubt when I first found the place. Look can be deceiving as the hostel is tucked in an alley and you can't see it immediately from the main street Bui Thi Xuan. I ended up staying one week as I loved this place so much. There is a bus 152 (5000 VND one way) running drom airport that stops on Cach Mang Thang Tam street only 200 meter walking distance to hostel. Lots of buses runnging to Ben Thanh Market from Cach Mang Thang Tam street. If you want to go to Cho Lon Market (Chinatown area), catch the No 6 bus on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai st, cost 6000 VND one way. I stayed in 8 Bed female dorm, the room was big, mattress comfortable, clean sheet, big lock luggage, share bathroom outside is good, only 1 toilet and 1 shower but I never have to wait, there is reading light on bed. I paid 14 AUD my first night and after 11 USD, you can also pay in VND. I did stay one night in a single room, which was very spacious and comfortable. No lift but stairs OK. You can refill water at hostel, 24 hour Family Mart is across the road, Co op Mart Supermarket is further down on Cong Quynh st. There is a good desert place called Xoi Che Bui Thi Xuan nearby. I like the no shoe policy inhouse, keep the place clean. The staff is so friendly and helpful, Tam even offered to take me on motorbike to De Tham st to take my bus to Da Lat. Breakfast is good, mainly bread n omlette or scramble, pork bun, spring rolls, salad n fruits. Do not hesitate to ask staff for anything. I will definitely stay here again.

Nice clean room, nice staff , off the main road.

Comfortable and clean room. The staff were very helpful and polite. It's away from the backpackers area but close enough to everywhere. Ideal location for HO Chi Minh City. Highly recommended.

        excellent service”

        service, location, price

This was my first time staying at a dormitory type of room when travelling and I must say that I was glad that I picked TH50. The rooms are clean with basic amenities and quite a big locker for your important stuff. The other guests were quite friendly and it was nice chatting with them regarding their travels. The staff especially Johnny were very friendly and helpful and would always ask how your stay is going to check up on you. They also arranged my city tour around Ho Chi Minh which I also enjoyed as well as my airport transfer when I checked out. Breakfast was pretty standard fare but quite fresh and filling, I especially liked their fruit selection. On my second night, after a long tiring walk from the Night Market, Johnny offered some slices of watermelon which was really quite a nice surprise. Location is about a 15-minute walk from the Ben Thanh market..although it is tucked away in an alley, it's just beside big hotels and restaurants so the area I presume is quite safe (save of course from the usual security issues that they warn you about Vietnam.) All in all, quite an enjoyable stay and would definitely be back at this hotel again.

        Clean, good location, friendly staff”

Well located in the city, staff are friendly and helpful, easy to rent motorbike

It was clean - you are not allowed to wear your shoes into the house. Check-in was a breeze, the staff were helpful and gracious. There were helpful tips on how not to become the next victim of petty crime, a mark of trustworthiness in our opinion. The location was close enough to the important attractions and yet far enough so the nights were quiet (being tucked away in a nice alley helped). If you are happy to pay for your own banh mi, there is a lady selling it right at your doorstep every morning - very convenient Our room was small but sufficient and very clean and comfortable; the bathroom was a stunner - large, modern, with a contemporary look. Check-out, again a breeze. We rented a motorbike from the hotel - no drama ; pay 10 us a day and you are on the bike whizzing around the city in a matter of minutes. Overall a great experience. Airport taxi was called and arrived in good time - we were given a voucher so no dramas with being ripped off by idiotic taxi drivers ;).

Great Value: Pretty Ambiance, Good Service, and Enjoyable Breakfast”

Town House 50 has this small, intimate, boutique hotel feel. We booked a private room with private bathroom for three persons. Our room was on the first floor which was lucky as the building had no lift and it isn’t fun hauling your luggage several flights of stairs. Maybe they’d offer assistance but we checked in in the middle of the night. The complimentary daily breakfast was something I always looked forward to. You get coffee/tea, bread, and eggs; plus unlimited steamed buns, fried rolls, sausage, and a good selection of fresh fruit (passion fruit is now my new favorite). Location is good with a pharmacy, convenience stores, and cafes right outside and within a few hundred meter radius. Although about a kilometer away from the nearest attractions (i.e. Ben Than Market), it was good fun walking. We took our time enjoying the street food stalls, sights, and parks along the way. If you don’t much fancy walking, there are also readily available taxis/tuktuks. Staff was great and can communicate well. The two ladies at the front desk were very nice and pretty much accommodated our concerns any time of the day or night. They were very kind and assisted us in booking bus tickets to Phnom Penh, Cambodia even if it was very last minute. The walls might need a fresh coat of paint but the whole place has a lovely shabby chic ambiance and is very tastefully decorated. The place, including the common areas and shared bathrooms, are quite clean. There are basic toiletries, good towels, and bottles of water provided. It’s great value for money. I would highly recommend this place.

        Great staff”

        Staff, clean, location

The staff were amazing and very eager to help, though I do think one overcharged a lot for a water puppet show ticket. The room was clean, though since there were so many people in the small room, it seemed like someone was always making noise, so it was difficult to sleep through the night. I really liked the hotel, though. It was a little difficult to find because it is tucked back in an alley, but its in District 1, where pretty much all the main tourist attractions in the city are.
