Staff super helpful. Not for pick backpackers but is cheap and very close to where you need to go. They have jackets for you to rent (very important, can be super cold on the volcano hike). The bed is comfortable. You don’t need more them that for what you are going to do. You get what you pay for. Is ok for me. I personally recommend if you wanna save money

Great location to hike Mt. Bromo and Penanjakan ”
Pros: - Cosy, clean bed with warm blanket - Strong wifi - Excellent location to hike up Mt Bromo and Penanjakan without tour - Staff was really helpful in giving advices on transport and directions. Able to communicate efficiently in English - Common area with comfy sofa and charging to sit outside the room - One-minute walk to Cemara Indah with a restaurant and other good choice of eateries around - 2-minute walk to pickup point for local bus to Probolinggo Cons: - Only one charging port - Room was cold but thick blankets helped (wear your socks to sleep) - Room was small with no personal space Overall, no regrets for choosing Yog Bromo. It was value for money.

Room is a bit small but I think it’s ok for the price. Need to bring your own slipper for toilet purpose as it can be cold to walk from your room to toilet. Best thing is it has hot shower, as the place is very cold. Just a reminder it does not has room heater but they give you very thick blanket which is enough for us.

Very basic shared bathrooms and the room only has a queen bed which is fairly comfortable for 1-2 nights stay if you are used to budget hotels/hostels. The best plus point is the location to Seruni Point if you are walking up. Receptionist may or may not be around at times, do look for the staff who might be further in the compound to assist with check in/out. Friendly and chills staff. Near to warungs for meals and the bus point to Probolinggo.

Pretty near the entrance to Mount Bromo. There are local stalls nearby which sells piping hot soup in the cold temperature. There's a cute cat that will nuzzle on you too! Average sized room, not very spacious. Simple & basic accommodation. Price point is rather high for the simple amenities. Extremely hot water for shower even after adjusting the knob, might get you scalded if you are not careful with turning the tap! Overall, a decent room to stay-in for a night, but not for an extended stay. Still think it's not really value for money.

too noisy at times, couldn't sleep well. even before 3am there'll be rush of motorbikes and jeeps going towards the viewpoint. And do not expect amenities in economy.

Location is the best thing here. It was next to the path way walking down to bromo caldera. Pro: hot shower, strong water, wifi. Con: shared bathroom, no toileteries you need to bring your own even a towel. I think they didnt change bed sheet or blanket because I smelled of cigarette.

I stayed in the economy room. It was decent enough, I stayed warm and was waking up for sunrise so didn't need anything fancy. This town doesn't offer much but this place fit the bill for a quick Bromo visit.

Does the job as a cheap place to stay for half a night before waking up at 2:30am for sunrise hiking. Perfectly situated for commencing the trail up to the sunrise view points. Staff seemed nice but the room was very basic and the bathroom was pretty grimey. Big positive is there is hot water in the shower!

PROS - close to the walking track down into the sand sea Is on the main access road to the view points so motorbike transport is available from 3am Rooms are very basic, shared bathroom but have HOT WATER WARM blankets on bed CONS - noise from all of the jeeps climbing to the viewpoints at 3am Only a problem if you want to sleep in There is nothing in this town after you have completed you tour or solo exploring Nothing to do with the hotel but relevant to your stay Walking through the streets after the morning rush to the viewpoints and seeing the hundreds of drivers and assistants lounging around just looking at you as a $ is very uncomfortable The transport mafia at the Probolinggo bus station stop the use of Grab taxi by preventing them from picking you up so you must pay their high price

The Yog Bromo is perfectly located. It's one of the closest Homestay to the road for Bromo Mountain. It's very basic. There isn't hot water. It's fine for one night.

Forgot about our booking!”
The person responsible for Agoda booking at this homestay is a joke! She forgot about our booking when she even sent us a text the day before to inform us of tour packages that the homestay provide for Bromo viewpoint and crater. No apologies was given and we were being sent to another homestay which we do not even know how much does a night cost. The heater was not working for the other homestay and can you imagine bathing in ice cold water in bromo?

Simple, but good and clean rooms.”
We arrived there when it was already dark and had booked Yog Bromo Homestay already online before, which was handy that we didn't have to look for a place in the dark. We had booked a 8bed apartment. It was very simple but for a short stay there sufficient. We did not get a key for the apartment but there was only a lock for each room - which was ok. The beds were comfortable and the blankets were quite warm. Shower was warm, too, which was a nice surprise. However the fuse dropped out when we used the hair dryer, so better do not wash your hair there. We had to flush the toilet by rise with a bucket of water. You see, all very simple but manageable for one night. Got up at 2.30 to start walking to the viewpoint at 3am. Great location, right next to the road we had to walk. Also great for walk to Mt. Bromo, what we did after breakfast. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel Cemara Indah, right next door, where we also borrowed warm jackets and got free wifi. Some of us also got free wifi at Yog Bromo homestay. This depends probably on your phone. When we left, the guy from the Homestay organised us a minibus - the bus stop is also only a few metres away - and negotiated the price for us. Once in a lifetime experience and Yog Bromo Homestay is a great place to stay in when visiting Mt. Bromo.

Yog Bromo Homestay was a pit stop for us but in the short time we were there, we were greeted with much kindness. The amenities in this tight-knit town are all a stone's throw away from our location. Can get rapidly dark after 6pm as this area is not particularly well-lit. Excellent stay for the low price.

Best place to stay in town”
This place is amazing for its location - It's 2.5 KM from the summit and the hike took me just 2 hours to hit the best viewpoint in Bromo. Accomodations are basic and the bathroom is shared. You have to buy your own food but they do provide coffee and hot water for tea. The staff is extremely helpful if you need to rent motorbikes or any gear. They're only missing trashcans in their rooms though... Will come back here if I ever go to Bromo again!

Very close to Bromo volcano”
This is not a luxury hotel, but in this place it is impossible to find a great hotel/hostel. For this price range we were happy. Very close to BRomo volcane which make it possible to walk everywhere (like sunrise or climbing the volcano). THe bothroom could be improved but at least ih has hot water. The internet is available only in common areas.
