Wyndham Legend Halong is a new hotel. When we were ready to go, the hotel was not fully completed. Therefore we were upgraded to a better room. The room gave us a million-dollars view of the river and the streets. The room is big. Four people can sleep comfortably in the room. Breakfast is nice.

Good view but the rest is so so.”

The room very clean and good view ( but unlucky we only get the room at level 6, higher floor will be nicer ). Ha Long bay is not much thing to do, stay 2 day 1 nigh is enough unless u want rest more at hotel, Ha Long bay more suitable for resort tourism. Difficult to find nice food but seafood is very fresh if you eat at the correct place ( highly recommend Hồng Hạnh restaurant ). One more big problem is the food serve in room quite horrible. I order 1 dish foie gras with crispy pork belly and this is not so cheap, but the foie gras is super smelly really can not eat, and the crispy pork but crispy until can not bite so end off also can not eat, quite waste money for this meal, but the breakfast at the hotel still ok, many choice, I also don't no why. Highly recommend to stay because everything is nice without the foie gras with crispy pork belly.

Unforgettable trip”

Our trip is very great. I love the view from my room in 20th floor with see view, Ha Long bridge and Sun wheel view. It was great and my child was very insterete in looking around. The room is large so she can run around. The receptionist is very friendly and nice. She remember my room and always smile. However, i found that the air conditioner is not cool and the smell of the room is not fresh and not comfortable. I suppose that it was smell of the carpet on the floor. But i'm sure that I will come back this hotel for my next trip to Halong in the future.

What a view!”

Only open half a year, the Wyndham is a beautiful new facility. The location gives a fantastic view of Halong Bay and the bridge (lights up at night) but it's at least 1km to walk to anything other than a couple of high-end seafood restaurants. The staff's overall level of English was not the best we experienced in Vietnam but they did their best and definitely tried hard. Unfortunately, being a new hotel, there were some issues that need to be addressed. They're building another facility behind the hotel and there was construction noise from early in the morning. We couldn't find any restaurants that were advertised on their own house tv channel and other than a gym and outdoor pool, the other floors felt abandoned. There was no information in the room about hotel facilities and we actually couldn't find the lounge floor without calling the front desk. When we arrived at the lounge, the staff didn't seem to know how to handle us as guests. They offer an afternoon tea with the suite room we had but there was no menu or any info as to what it entailed. The staff did a great job serving and were extremely friendly. Housekeeping was good and room service was tasty. Breakfast was average but the dining room was beautiful. Our room was a junior suite but on a low floor which we found a bit disappointing. There were windows that we could open to enjoy a cool sea breeze. The view was outstanding but the bathtub was installed backwards so the seating position inexplicably faces the guest away from the ocean. It was a beautiful bathroom and a lovely room with plenty of space. A king bed and two desks with a few chairs and a table. Again, a lot of space in a gorgeous room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and even though the place feels abandoned during the day (most guests are in groups going to see Halong Bay) and a bit disorganized, it was lovely and an excellent stay.

Very good location and value for money”

We stayed at this hotel after our cruise in Halong Bay. The location was very good with a theme park near and good restaurant. We got a very good restaurant recommendation from the receptionist that was not expensive but very tasty. The hotel has a ramp that is helpful for my father who is using a wheelchair. The breakfast has a very nice varieties and taste good. We got an upgrade to deluxe room with sea view that was so spectacular. We could see the Ferris Wheel and Cable Car from the nearby theme park and also the bridge and the cruise ship. Definitely will stay at this hotel again!

Mistake with breakfast”

I didn't notice that my booking does not include the break fast, so I have to buy it for 25 USD per pax. The breakfast is too poor for that price. Other than that, everything is good, room is large and beautiful. View to Ha Long bay is great. Staff is friendly. I like the room very much. However beware with people outside, the taxi, the restaurants, you can be over charged.

A pleasant stay”

A nice new hotel, clean, brightly lit and welcoming. The main reception staff speak good enough english and do their very best to assist you to the best of their capabilities (eg. tours, pick up and drop offs, etc). *Do take note, if more than 2 people stay in a room there's a charge for an extra bed (charged per night), and even though Agoda presents you the option of 3 people to a room, you'll still have to pay for the extra bed when you arrive. So do call or email the hotel before hand to check and make arrangements to prevent any surprised charges.* The hotel is about at 10-15min (walk) from the centre where the shops and local eateries are located, it is a pleasant and safe walk. The hotel can arrange a taxi pick up and drop off if you'd prefer. The advantage of this hotel is that it's not near any construction so it is very quiet through out the day and night with an unobstructed view of the ocean from your room.(assuming you paid a little more for the ocean view, which in my opinion is worth it, as these rooms have a nice view from their individual balcony) As the hotel has stated, they have all the services provided from lounges, bars to restaurants, even though they're found throughout the hotel, some of them are not opened yet, I assume because the hotel is still new and will be opened at a later date. On a side note the gym and pool also has a nice view of the ocean.

Value for money”

The hotel has excellent facilities with enthusiastic and helpful staff. The buffet opens until 10 am so we do not have to rush for breakfast like in other hotels. What I like most is the dessert. Very delicious caramel and mousse cakes. Highly recommend for those wishing to spend a night in Ha Long!

couple for 4 nights, greate time”

room is outstanding luxurious, view is tremendous, staff glad to help, hotel is recommended to the highest. the only negative point that it's 2 kilometers away from any activity, if you can drive motor cycle, it's the best deal to go around for very minimal cost. by the way 4 nights is more than enough. the best and only night club in the area is Ha Long view club (as per my experience).

We stayed one night on our way to a Ha Long Bay cruise. It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff were wonderful to us. It was a much better option for us rather than staying in Ha Noi and taking the shuttle at the crack of dawn.

Nice hotel but not value for money. ”

This hotel has excellence location and view of the bay, Bai Chay Bridge and Sun Wheel. Bathroom is huge with good layout and facility. Bed is comfortable but the heat and humidity makes the duvet and pillow smelly. Breakfast quality and choice is a bit above average. There is a lot of room for improvement for staffs at front desk,kid club and the swimming pool. Staffs in the buffet restaurant are helpful and attentive. In conclusion, for the money paid, I would probably choose somewhere else for my next visit to Ha Long Bay.

Excellent”

It is expensive, but the breakfast is phenomenal, the bathtub to die for and the view breathtaking. It is a bit of a hike into town or to Ha Long center so be prepared to walk to taxi so see anything other than the port.

Beautiful hotel in the city center”

Hotel locates in the central of City with view to Halong Bay and Bai Chay Bridge (if you choose room with sea view). We booked 2 rooms for our family. The room is spacious and nice designed. Breakfast is various of Asian and western food. We really enjoyed and definitely will come back.

Fantastic”

We stayed only one night but wished we had more time in Halong Bay, and in this beautiful new hotel! The staff were extremely professional and attentive, service was superb, food was delicious, rooms were spacious and clean, swimming pool had beautiful views- all of it was wonderful.

Lovely stay”

We had a lovely stay 2 nights at Wyndham. Everthing was excellent except for the key card system. We had problems while taking elevator or opening the door. But the staff was very helpful and friendly One plus point: the kid club is just next to the pool so we still can manage our time enjoy swimming while travelling with 2 kids, one is 4, one is not yet 1.

With the view of Ferris wheel, Ha long bay, cable car & the bridge. It is probally the best and you can’t get it in other part of the world..

nice 5 star hotel”

Stayed there 1 night before going on a Halong Bay cruise and really enjoyed it. the only downside is that they are doing some construction and the noise sometimes is really loud. In the evening we were in the pool and they started with loud noise, basically making us leave. Breakfast was quite nice with a bigger variety in the asian style which was nice. If you are more into your eggs and avo the offering is a bit more limiting.
