Bachelorette Party Thumbs Up”
It was just a short weekend for the bridal party celebrating before the big wedding day. We had a 10 min drive to International Drive which was great! The views of the lake were great. The room was more than we imagined and the Bride to Be LOVED her soaker hot tub. The room service was great and surprisingly, even though our room was in the back end of the resort, the food was still hot and fresh. Minimal downsides. Our pool bar never opened but we took the resort shuttle to another location on the property. We wanted to utilize the Spa but the complementary use is only if purchasing spa services which wasn't made very clear when registering and paying the additional resort fee. Overall, Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa was a hit for our Bridal group of 5. We plan to go back for birthdays and just because! 9.5 across the board

Overall experience ”
Upon check in we were greeted by vivacious young woman name Angela, who provided one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. Thank you Angela. While leaving chk in we met by a wonderful gentleman named Freedom who offered to escort us to our room. Once we parked he proceeded to help my husband carry all of our luggage to our room. (May I mention we never asked for any directions nor help). Freedom took it upon himself to be welcoming inviting and Extremely helpful. Upon entering our room, I couldn't help but notice how clean spacious everything was. Our mattress was Brand new & very comfortable, we had a wonderful view as well. Our overall experience Was fantastic you have an amazing team, Even down to the wonderful woman (Miss Sharon I believe)who works the day shift in deli who provided my husband & I the best food , we felt at home with her. Average but parking is painfu”
Firstly, Westgate lakes resort is in a great location. Approx 10 minutes to Universal, 15 minutes to Disney and International Drive is about 5 minutes away. Rooms are a nice size and relatively clean. Beds are comfortable. Now the bad points... if you arrive back at the resort after 10pm, you will not find parking anywhere near your accommodation block. It fills very quickly after 930-10 pm onwards. Just be aware that there is a “resort fee” of about $15 per day that you pay upon arrival. It’s hidden deep in the terms and conditions. I was hit with $175 extra which was a surprise for me as I assumed I had already paid all taxes and fees!! The elevator are times are pretty slow and especially in the mornings when cleaning staff are around it’s even slower. Cleaning staff, I found weren’t too quick to move their trolleys over or out of the elevators to give way to quests,even with lots of bags or kids.

WOW. This was my second time staying at a Westgate Resort and it was better than the first time! ”
I really got bang for my buck when staying here this past weekend. So many activities you can enjoy during your stay such as mini golf, bike riding, any of the seven heated pools, etc. It was my girlfriend's first time here and she had a blast! Service was excellent too. Would recommend to anyone staying in Orlando for the weekend or anyone who wants a cool place to chill after an exhausting day at one of the theme parks!

Perfect stay for theme park travel ”
After reading a lot of reviews beforehand, I was expecting a lot of push for time share sales, but none of that happened. What we got was a spacious well-appointed room, a good shuttle service to Disneyworld, Universal and even shopping in Outlet stores, awesome swimming and activities daily as well as food and even a mini mart with a wine cellar! For the price we paid (about $100usd per night -Studio Villa) it was a Bargain!

The resort was absolutely beautiful. The location is stunning right on a lake. All the staff is super friendly. All in all very worth the long check in and the lack of parking.

Anniversary vacation ”
I booked the room for me and my Husband Birthday and Anniversary vacation. My husband has a friend that spoke highly of this place which was ok. When we came to the Resort we didn't know that they had a time share seminar going on so they told us we had to go to the different registration desk to sign up for things. I didn't pay it no attention. We signed up not think about the seminar they were going. Long story short, they were very rude because you're not in the mood for the time share Mama Jama that they have going on. Very, very rude, I was so mad 😡 I just wanted to go.

Nice resort”
Nice resort, showing some signs of age, but still very well maintained, we are moving on to another location but would definitely stay again. One downside we extended our stay twice. Both times I had to insist that I was not going to pay hotel fees, (they were adamant they were in addition to the FULL and final invoice I had paid to agoda) these were waived in the end, but only after some discussion,which is not really what I want when I’m on holidays

We booked this hotel because it was very close to Universal Studios and a very reasonable price. We also saw that it was pet friendly and had our dog with us. Very quiet and comfortable stay!

In reading other reviews before staying, I was a little worried about the sales tactics being forced upon me during my stay. I am pleased to say that there was no bullying or sales pitch. For those who are cheap and looking for freebies, there is a seminar to attend that offers a $100 gift card and free breaky. I am well aware of what the seminar would entail, so I didn't attend . There was no pushy selling at checking at all. Had a great experience. The screened in balconies are fabulous

and only enjoyed my stay in Florida because of the resort and it's amenities. Not having to go too far for basic necessities because there is a mini mart on site was awesome, and great food at the restaurant as well. Thank you everyone.

This is a very nice resort and I definitely recommend. However, be aware their wi-fi connection is very poor and the cleaning should be improved during the stay. We got the apartment very cleaned, however the daily cleaning should be better (specially the bath).

overall hotel is good and would recommend, only after traveling for many hours being charged for usd 20 for a socalled free breakfast is very disappointing, specially after we found out this it a so-called tell-sell story/scam very disappointing to find this out afterwards. you cannot do that to clients/people who are tyred of travelling and dont get a clear picture what is behind it all. Why would we travell to Orlando and sit down and listen for a 90 minutes peptalk about investments.... crazy

Rooms are big and clean. Staff are friendly and amenities are great. Free disney tramsportation as well. Great place but thet will try to get you to do a 2hour timeshare presentation while youre there. Google for prices. You can get it cheap and its very worth it.
