Also the kitchen is really delicious.. So chilled out and good! I could recomend this to everybody who just wants to relax a view days from crowdy Labuan Bajo doing nothing or also a good hideaway place, but then you better rebt a scooter to be mobile.. thank you Eden, you have been good to us!

Best beach in Labuan Bajo”
My partner and I stayed 4 nights at the Waecicu. The resort is located a 15 minute boat drive from Labuan Bajo and the bungalows are beautiful built and integrated into the hillside between trees, bush and flowers. The restaurant is good and the prices are comparable to Labuan Bajo. We also had a stunning view from our balcony. The Indonesians have a bad habit of throwing all their trash in the sea, streets, etc, but the Waecicu beach is actually being cleaned so you can go snorkeling at the coral without fighting your way through garbage (we had a few more nights at another beach in Labuan Bajo that was full of garbage). The beach also provide sunbeds and hammocks. The Waecicu can improve on the timeliness of their boat transfer. Don't expect to be on time if you have a booked a trip in the city. Also communication in English with the staff is limited and it happened on a few occasions that things we ordered were forgotten and tried covered by pretty obvious lies. However all in all a very good stay and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in Labuan Bajo.

Paradise”
Stayed just 2 nights after a week diving in Labuan Bajo. Away from the crowd, embedded in a piece of a hilly djungle at a white sandy beach it was perfect for relax before returning back home. Stunning view from each bungalow! Very friendly staff, always helpful supporting us when needed. Nice food to fair prices. We get there by motorbike, saves flexibility but beware of very bad road conditions. Only can recommend this paradisic place!!!

It's a trap! but a beautiful trap...”
My stay at Waecicu Eden Beach Hotel was mixed. The first thing any guest needs to know before choosing this hotel, is that you are essentially trapped. You can only really travel to and from Labuan Bajo (the town center with the harbor etc.) by boat. The hotel has some boats, but when they are available or willing to take you is incredibly inconsistent. This wouldn't be so big a deal, but their website is not forthcoming about this, which can lead to some disappointment and frustration. The other downside to being trapped is that you have no other choice but to eat every evening meal at the hotel, which adds up quickly. The restaurant they have at the hotel is pretty good, but in Labuan Bajo there are some definitely better options for food. The owners are very nice people. They are Phil and Dewi. Dewi is quite impressive as she speaks fluent French, English, and Indonesian. We had more contact with her that Phil, as I think he was more behind the scenes. She was willing to help as much as she could for transport, but unfortunately she wasn't always around. The rest of the staff are mostly young men who range from moderately helpful and nice to completely useless and hostile. We complained about one staff member in particular to Dewi and she did handle it promptly. But whenever we were left only to the young staff, we often couldn't get straight answers, advice, or assistance. They also forgot to provide us with toilet paper and towels for the first night and then forgot to clean our room on another day. The view there is spectacular! Truly amazing. With your room up high (which is a bit of pain to climb), you get an even better view. This is definitely worth noting because the town of Labuan Bajo is pretty trashy and smelly. Overall, I might chose something in town if you plan on doing lots of different things, especially diving. But if you've come from some long trek and want somewhere you can just relax, then stay there.

Could make more out of it”
It is a nice place to stay. Unfortunately, the owner doesn't seem to care too much about the place, he could definitely make more out of it. Our toilet was broken, the water kept flowing a little bit. Instead of fixing it they kept turning off the water to our bungalow. Can be annoying in certain situations :-). Be aware that you need to take the boat to get to Labuan Bajo (about 15-20 minutes, not included). There is little support from the hotel staff to plan trips, and they also have no snorkeling equipment at the hotel, so you have to go to Labuan Bajo for this. It was no problem for us, but considering the remote location, it would be nice to find a little more support at the place.

Scam or paradise??”
Warning. The hotel is not reachable by street. (Taxi, Motorbike) mudroad and a long way down stairs (100m height difference). You must take a free boat 5min. The taxi brings you to another hotel ( similar name Waecicu beach). !!here the boat starts. Many guests, make the mistake to check in the wrong hotel and it happily receives you w/o saying they have no booking. Their service is awfull, the view is nice. It takes usually a day to notice that you are wrong, especially arriving by night or tired. I was wrong and found out together with another guest the next day. We went Waecicu Eden hotel. They had fully acceptable simple clean rooms, friendly service and balcony rooms with a good view. The Eden, as advertised, in case of no show, did not refund nor help out to move the date, said it happens. So getting paid for no service. A big sign at the pier would do the trick. For experience reports refer to guests who did actually stay there. From what I saw they should be right.

unaccessible and overpriced”
First you need to know that the main access is by boat which is charged 120.000 IDR per trip/boat. There is an access by road but most taxi will refuse to take it to the end due to its poor condition. If you rent a scooter as I did, it's gonna be adventurous because the last 3km is a dirt road full of holes and big stones difficult to avoid due to the important slope. Not recommended at night. After that you still need to walk 5 minutes in a step and difficult path poorly maintained. Not suitable for everyone or with suitcases and not recommended with big backpacks. Easy to twist your ankle. The staff is friendly, often sleeping, understand english but poorly trained. The management is not very good with costumer service. While being there, we saw the hotel's small boat sinking on the beach with costumers and their backpacks. Not dangerous due to low depth but horrible experience if you carry your laptop, cameras or even clothes. When they complain to the management, instead of apologising they made a big argument in front of the other clients and denied any responsibility and still wanted to get the money for the boat trip. Transfer from/to airport is possible for 200.000 IDR. The beach is ok but garbage on the background (tones of plastic bottles). The wifi is low speed, only between 7-10pm and charged 20000IDR per person. We stayed in one of their best rooms (Double Deluxe with AC - Breakfast) with very nice view for a bit more than 1.000.000 IDR. We also found that their boat trip to Komodo or scuba diving places were more expensive than if you go to agencies in Labuan Bajo. By comparison with other hotels in Labuan Bajo, we found this hotel overpriced for the quality and service they offer. If your idea is staying at the hotel and using the beach and disconnect from the world and you are not too fussy with confort then you may find it charming. Otherwise I would recommend other places, cheaper and with better services.

Great location to escape from world”
This hotel has beautiful view, its private beach is really awesome. Its really clean. You can also see beautiful corral and fish. You can swim in sandy beach in the morning, and do snorkeling in shallow water in the afternoon when the water is receding. The sea has slow to no stream. It has a good and fresh food with fair price. This hotel has eco concept, so it has no hot water, water heater in the room, and water to drink in the room. The management should consider to provide such facilities to make the hotel to be better place.

Mixed feelings”
We had a mixed experience - so much potential though the place fell a bit short on expectations. Beautiful location with stunning views to the sea, well designed cottages set into the landscaped gardens and lots of birds - all good. Unfortunately the staff are poorly trained in customer service. This may partly be due to their poor English skills so a lot was 'lost in translation'. The hotel seems to market itself better than it actually is. For example, when we arrived in Labuan Bajo we were taken to the boat that would transport us to the hotel but we sat in their boat (next to loud, smelly other boats)for over an hour with no explanation as to why. As it turns out we were waiting for other passengers, and their plane was delayed. It would have been useful to have been told this - we would have understood the difficulties in matching plane arrivals. We could have explored the town a bit,and would have been re-assured as to what was happening. The trainee staff were willing and pleasant but it was evident that they knew little about what was going on. Also for the two nights that we stayed there, the food service was very slow even though we had pre-ordered meals, as requested. We had ordered dinner for 7pm and received it an hour and 15 minutes later on both occasions with little explanation or apology - disappointing. The food was fine - standard fare for this part of the world. I hope the young trainees actually get some better guidance on how to work in hospitality and tourism. It's not that difficult.

Nightmare”
We stayed 4 nights in Waecicu Eden Beach Hotel in April 2016. From the beginning, our stay started to be a big disappointment. We had booked the hotel on agoda, where there was no information that this place is only really poorly accessible by road. As the street got really bad shortly before reaching the resort, we called them to meet us at the street (from the top you can hardly even find the resort as there is only a small sign, which you won't see in the dark). Two boys met us at the cliff and helped us carry our stuff down to the resort. We are young, healthy, athletic. However this gravel path seemed dagerous as there was NO light, grass growing across and it was really slippery! On arrival the boys told us they wanted to go to town now to enjoy free time and if we wanted to eat something we could have Mie Goreng or walk to some of the other resorts in the bay. We were abslutely surprised by this information and decided to go somewhere else instead. We assumed those boys were like the night shift, but later it turned out that one of them was the operations manager (!!?). The "superior" room was small, not clean and they didn't give us a remote for the AC as apparently this is only included in the Deluxe room. The next morning the water was not working. We went down for breakfast and the boy told us "it's empty the truck wih water is on its way" and he added "we knew we would only have two guests so water refill today and not the days before". We went back to room waiting for water, which didn't come. 3 hours later (!!) we actually wanted to do something that day, but that just destroyed it, the boy said water was working again but not in our room as something might be broken. He let us take a shower in another room and disappeard. As the resort was completely empty except for us we started to really wonder why we couldn't just change the room. When the boy returned later (from whererever he had been?) we asked him and he said "no this room is more expensiv

Friendly paradise”
Rooms were not ready on arrival as Agoda only said 1 room was booked when we booked 2, hard with a baby! The room we were given a standard room was not child friendly at all (they knew we had a baby so a heads would have been nice). On a nicer note the staff were very helpful with my baby and the manager Dewi tried to rectify the issues we initially faced. The restaurant had a large menu everything we tried was delicious, we loved the food! The private beach was gorgeous however there are sandflies which ate baby boy he had a bad reaction. I loved the charm & remote location, the staff really made the trip enjoyable. Jek the boat guy was so kind and looked after my son while I snorkeled our on the boat tour days we took. We will be back!

Great location but secluded”
Very cute cabanas on top of the hill overlooking the sea. I recommend you get there through the hotel so boat shuttle rather than on your own by taxi. You would avoid yourself a long hike down the muddy hill with your luggage. Once you get there it’s a real trap to go out. You must pay 50kidr and 100idr to reach the city. Therefore you spend time in their restaurant which is very pleasant with games but full of mosquitos. If you don’t like bugs of all sorts this place is not for you. They shower and sleep with you... it was so hot with the slow fan that it was hard to fall asleep. The staff is incredibly nice and would you help you for anything. They can arrange boat and other trips for you. The little resort is well decorated but it’s a tough hike from the reception to your room. Better not forget any belongings once you decide to go to the beach.

Remote and inconvenient ”
The hotel is situated away fr Labuan Bajo harbour/Main Street and u need to travel by boat for 30 mins each way. Each boat ride costs money. Boat timing are specific. If you missed it or the boat's broken u need to hire a motorbike and the journey is treacherous and uncomfortable by road. As a diver I find it extremely inconvenient living there as the dive boats will arrive later in the evening into the harbour and the hotel staff would call me repeatedly and hound me for my whereabouts. There were annoying cats and a dog on the premises. The eco style lodge can attract insects and geckos into your room at night. My room came with no hot shower. It's very basic for the price that i paid. Also since you rely on the boat to travel to the main harbour, you will pretty much be stuck in the hotel for dinner and you can't explore the Main Street after 6pm. If you want to, you will need to hire a motorbike or car to take you back to the hotel and the journey takes about an hour and 15 mins over muddy and treacherous terrains. The motorbike ride is actually very dangerous as you go up the steep hill in the dark with no street lamps.

Great little place with really nice staff.”
Really nice people and great food. The only downsides were the near 200 stairs that we had to climb with our little one and rthe fact that you can't see the sun set on the beach. I still highly recommend this beautiful place.

beautyful place but awful staff and organisation”
We spend 3 nights at this beautiful place. The name Eden really suit the place. We were however extreemly disappointed with the restaurant and the service and since there were no alternative place to eat it was really anoying. The staff in the restaurant, seemed uninterested. From we ordered the food it took two hours before the first family member got his/her food. Then the dishes came slowly one at a time during the next 40-60 minutes. We never got the chance to eat together. Sometimes even if we had ordered a dish with rice on the side. We had to ask if we could get the rice while the dish was still warm. even though 2 other rices for the other in the group was served. We also had problems with the AC. We had to ask for having the remote control when we arrived. When the AC suddenly didn't work after a day, we asked them to fix it. It is unknown what they did, but the remote control was removed from the room, once again. 2 of us wanted a massage. The massage was supposed to last for 1 hour. The massagegirl came 20 and 30 minutes too late to the agreed time and made only massage for 30 min. each time. The hotel would greatly improve, if the started serving food to all members in a group at the same time, and with much less waiting time, if the staff spoke little english and did not keep the remote for AC and if the cleaned up the beach in front of both their and the neibours from plasticstuff and garbage.

Friendly, happy, efficient staff- amazing outlook”
Our son stayed here and recommended it to us. We were very happy as it was y5 of the hussle and bustle. The staff were great. Ronald had everything under control and nothing was too much trouble. If you want quiet and peaceful with easy access to all tours by boat, I would highly recomment staying here. We had a delux room with airconditioning which was perfect.

The Waecicu Eden Beach Hotel”
The hotel was fine but the access to it is a little difficult. Our taxi driver dropped us at the hotel next door and we had to wait for over an hour for the water taxi to arrive despite calling the hotel three times. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted and shown to our room. (up 154 steps). It was however lovely with a great view. The stay was pleasant enough and the hotel fine but there were obvious issues that need addressing. The first is the lack of electricity on site. It went off regularly and the staff seemed unable to help. The second is a language barrier with some of the staff but overall its a nice hotel with a good secluded location.
