Super central family owned boutique hotel”

Very clean and quiet boutique hotel. It’s a family operated hotel. The hotel is literally 50m across from Saigon BEN THANH largest market and 150m from Saigon Square. I stayed a week solo and never once needed taxi to go anywhere. Restaurant and bars are all within short walking distance. The hotel and room was clean and very peaceful. I will definitely stay here again when choosing to stay in this area.

Think it deserves 3 stars instead of 2”

Hotel location was superb, next to Ben thanh day/night stalls and 3 min walk to Takashimaya/Saigon Centre/Square. Stayed in VIP room. The rooms were well appointed and the toilet was spacious and clean. Shower cubicle was unique in a rather positive way. Fridge bar is well stocked.

It’s very convenient and the nught market is right below. The famous Ben Thanh market just a min walk away. Walking distance to Saigon Square and Saigon Centre where the highend mall Takashimaya is located where loads of eateries are available!

tried to give me a room I did not book”

This place had some good review but please be careful... I booked a room with a window but when I arrived I was informed that the room I booked was in the back and had no window. I talked to agoda and they said that I indeed should get a room with a window, city view. But the room they now gave had a window, but no city view, but mostly the back of another building with about 20 percent visibility to see out. I can't sleep good without a window so I upgraded and of course, I paid extra for it. What a scam! Another issue, the rooms are very moldy and by the time I left the next day my nose was running and I was taking cough drops for a sore throat. Better to look elsewhere

Most Recomendded Hotel ”

Although it was my first time traveling to vietnam and staying at the Vuong Tai Hotel,it feels like living in my own hometown. The best thing about staying at this hotel is that: -we learn new language from the other staff of Vuong Tai hotel. -it is located near muslim halal food,we didnt need any taxi just to find halal food. -if u feel thirsty and exhausted-the hotel are located near the spa and there's a lot of things that we can buy. For me I would recomendded to my other friends to stay in this hotel. i wish to stay at this hotel a little bit longer. Hopefully we would have a pleasant stay in this hotel and celebrating new year by next year in vietnam.just few minit walk to Benthan Market day and Night , easy to find money changer not even for travel agent just in line with this hotel, there is a lot of thing we can find along this area Halal coffe, young cocunut, chicken eggs, every thing is closed to this hotel area. From airport it took less than an hour, unless traffic. actually there is more and more intresting about this hotel. smiling every time we passby d reception counter 😄😄😄ok thats all i want to say about this Hotel. i hope people out side there from other country could search and make intrest to stay at this hotel,

Clean Luxury Hotel, Great Location”

This is my second stay at Vuong Tai Hotel. I keep coming back to here because it is a new hotel with clean rooms and everything I need. The staff are friendly and the owner treats you like family. He can speak multiple languages and has given me a lot of good advice on how to navigate the city. I really like how it is close to everything. I usually just walk around to the tourist attractions, good eateries, and shopping. I like the daily night market that starts at 7pm which is 1 minute from the hotel at Ben Thanh market. The location is perfect for my vacations and I really appreciate how I am treated just like family here. I don't have to worry about safety or anything. Thank you VT hotel!

Centrally located, clean&comfy room, helpful staff”

Wow! We couldn't believe how nice the hotel was when we arrived. The owner and all the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Hotel is in the heart of Ben Thanh market with lots of great deals on clothes, shoes, & purses, and local food shops. We hang out in front of the hotel at night and watched the people in the market, great way to experience Saigon. A 10-15minute walk and you'll find the bar areas. Our room has a large modern bathroom with hot water, body & foot massager almost like a spa bath. Room also has a safe. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended. Thank you very much Vuong Tai Hotel!

Pleasant surprise”

This was my 1st time at Vuong Tai Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised as the room was beautiful, nicely appointed, full ammenities and a very courteous staff. The hotel far exceeded my expectations. I will return and stay here again. I was nice to be only a few meters from Ben Thahn Market and close to everything in District 1, the heart of HCMC.

Great Place in the heart of Saigon”

Chose this hotel so we were close to Ben Thanh and more importantly shoe street. Originally booked the cheapest room, which is small and has no window. Would suit a short stay or business traveler. Upgraded to the "VIP" or room that is at the front of the hotel. Probably twice the size with a window that overlooks Shoe Street. This hotel is only small and the service was exceptional. Last year we stayed around the corner at a bigger hotel, and I would have no problem recommending Vuong Tai to anyone looking to stay for a few days in Saigon. The highlight was by far the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They assisted with reviewing purchases from the markets and street hawkers, and let us know if we bought well, or got stitched up!

Great hotel, good location and good hospitality”

Good hotel and great staffs including the owner of the hotel. Love the location, easy access to Ben Tham market, night market within 2 mins and other attractions all by walking. Rooms a little small but has all the basic amenities, jacuzzi in toilet is great for a 3 star hotel, bed is so comfortable. Only downside is the breakfast, as it is choose from the menu, very little choices. Maybe the owner should look into improving the breakfast menu, would be ideal.Other than that, keep up the good work Vuong Tai Hotel!!!!! Miss all of you! Clean Hotel, Good location and great hotel service”

This is my first visit to HCMC, Vietnam. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a 3-5days stay in District 1 to experience the 'city' life of HCMC. The hotel is situated at the heart of District 1 along a small street that has business bustling till 11pm daily. The location is safe and also near to Ben Thanh Market (3mins walk). Besides, it is also near to high end districts like Dong Khoi and Backpackers District Pham Ngu Lao and Bui Vien. Most locations are within walking distance..however if you are lazy..a taxi ride or bike taxi ride will cost you about $1.50to$3SGD to get to the various locations. Basically, a good location that is safe and convenient. The hotel staff seems to be a family. There will always be a middle aged woman sitting at the hotel lobby with all smiles. Sometimes you will see their kids running around in the lobby too. Hotel staff is always very friendly and 24hrs on stand by. I remember i encountered a problem with my water heater at 1130pm. The standby technician came within 3 minutes after my phone call to attend to the situation. It got fixed immediately. The hotel has also a cool sauna-like shower system. Big rooms and clean and safe. Wooden-finishings to the doors, shelves and wardrobes. Very new and cheerful outlook. Reasonable hotel pricing too. Not forgetting the free breakfast every morning. It has ala-carte menu and dishes will be whipped out within 5-10 minutes from the kitchen. Ranging from French Baguette to Vietnamese Beef Pho, your stomach will definitely not suffer. Recommend all Singaporeans to stay in this hotel if you want a trouble free and comfortable stay. Cheers.

We stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights.Location: Excellent,5 min walk to main area in Ho Chi Minh, 2 min walk to Ben Than Market, 3 Min Walk to Saigon Square on the opposite side, There are K-Marts close to the hotel. Service: Friendly and helpful staff, Even the Owners were kind enough to help us in general, We were given a complimentary upgrade too. Value for money: Considering I was there during New Years and where it was located the Hotel was good value for money.Rooms: Big Clean Rooms, Bathroom was clean too and had a fancy Shower. Breakfast: Breakfast was ok, very limited options, room for improvement.Overall its a good hotel, Value for money and I would recommend it to others. PS: They have a cute tiny dog called bob in the building who made our stay better.

Excellent hotel in a most perfect location for shopping as well as sightseeing. plenty of food options around. Ben Tanh market 2 minutes away - lots of fun. Come with plenty of empty space in your luggage to take advantage of all the superb shopping around the Vuong Tai Hotel.

I stay at this hotel every time when I am in Ho Chi Minh as it is close to Ben Than market. The hotel has nice owners and staff that will make your stay very comfortable . The rooms are clean and well maintained. Even in the room without a window you will feel nice .

Fantastic Location!”

Very confortable stay although it catagorised as 2 star hotel. Cho Dem night market just a foot step in front of the hotel. Ben Thanh market just a minute walk from the hotel. Please take note that Ben Thanh market open about 7am and closed 7pm. Almost all tourist attraction places at Ho Chi Minh city are within walking distance from the hotel. The only drawback was the free wifi provided by the hotel, it running slow and i suspect it was the owner of the hotel himself watching movie all day long at the lobby public personal computer.

Vuong Tai Hotel is lovely hotel,good location for shopping, eating,(near Ben Thanh market,in centre of district 1).Friendly staffs, service with a smile. Almost rooms are small but very bright, very clean.

Excellent Location”

We stayed here from July 9-11. We arrived at 12 midnight. The taxi we rode did not find it hard to find this hotel. We just showed him a printed out map of the place and its address and in about 20 minutes we were already at the doorsteps of the hotel. A hotel staff was up, waiting for our arrival, and the very friendly bellboy was cheerful and kind enough to greet and assist us to our room even if we woke him up. The following morning, we availed of our free breakfast. It was a simple one. You will choose from a given list of meals, so it was basically ban mih or noodles and coffee (iced or hot). Very simple meal, but enough to start your day before you reach your next restaurant. When we stepped out of the hotel, we realized we were in the middle of everything. If you turn left, you'll reach Ben Tanh Market in less than a minute. If you turn left, you'll reach Saigon square. For us (two 30 year-olds who like to walk), everything was walking distance. We didn't ride any taxi while we were there! From the hotel we walked to the War Remnants Musuem, the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, The Post Office(the cathedral and Post Office face each other), the Opera house, Vincom Plaza, Diamond, Plaza, Botanical Garden, and the Museum of History. We even walked and walked until we found the Lunch Lady who was featured by Anthony Bourdain. I'll be updating my blog so you'll see our route. In the evening, Luu Van Lang (the street where this hotel is located) is transformed into a night market street. Since it is so near Ben Tanh, the prices of good here are also cheap (although I prefer Saigon Square). Our flight was actually 1 a.m. on July 12 so we extended our stay for half a day, and just paid 20 USD for that. We also arranged for airport transfer which was 10 USD. We didn't bother looking for taxi since we did not want to deal with the taxi situation in HCMC. We'll definitely stay again in this hotel.

Great location & amenities for a standard hotel”

the room was quite small but comfortable enough to get a restful nap. i had a deluxe double room which had jacuzzi and steam bath enclosed shower. though there was no tub but the shower was great. this hotel is just a 50m walk to the ben thanh market and just a few minutes walk to several ho chi minh museums. i would definitely recommend this hotel for budget conscious tourists who're looking for comfortable & modern accommodation.
