Very near Kek Lok Si Temple”

Owner Mr Yeoh very friendly, they willing to give me advice on everything about Penang food, transport, tips and etc. His son also very friendly too, they do not hesitate to give advice too with a friendly smile even though I am a local tourist. Room is very small but is adequate as room deco is like japanese theme. Toilet and bathroom ensuite also clean too. Nearby is an air itam market. Finding food is not a problem just beside the market and nearby. Convenience store and bakery also walking distance. Just can walk to Kek Lok Si temple. Common room has free tea and coffee. But they got sell toothpaste and snack also. Only problem is parking as is First come First park. But rapid penang bus very frequent to Georgetown. I stay on saturday so next day is Sunday morning market very happening around this area all penang stall food open there.

Good place to stay”

We met Mr. Yeoh when checked into the guesthouse. He is friendly and easy-going. He has briefed us about the guesthouse. In the room, the bed is in Japanese tatami style with king size bed. It has no sound insulation. There are a TV with NJOI channels, a plastic water jug, two towels, a roll of toilet paper and a trash basket. There are no table, chair and closet. The bathroom is a bit small. Anyhow, it was just adequate space in the room. The room was clean. The air-cond is centralised, it was comfortable even without window. There was a water dispenser, kettle, microwave, mugs, plates and few playing card games such as chess set in the common areas. You may have fun with your family members there. (the space is limited, can only fit a group of families 😂) It was very convenient as there are washing machine and cloth drying machine can be used. (By courtesy, we got permission from Mr. Yeoh. He allows normally👍👍) I was surprised that Mr Yeoh informed me about his age 70++. He looked strong and energetic. I was in a rushed that day when checked out, can't even say goodbye to Mr. Yeoh. Anyway, I wish him may stay happily and healthy everyday😊 health is wealth👍 Overall, it's worth for the money.

Clean and comfortable”

I had a great stay. The place is clean, bed is comfy, and it is close to locations like the temple, Penang hill and can reach to george town. There is hot water available and some packet coffee and milo. Air con seems centralized but I did not have any problems with the temperature. Great host too as he accommodate me when I arrived really late. I would definitely book Vstay when I travel to Penang again.

Owner: sky and ocean were very helpful and attentive to our needs. Their employee, mr Yeoh was very nice and polite to us. He brought us to various nice stalls to eat. Room is very clean and almost same to the images attached to the website. Price is definitely worth it. The location is very near to the nice awesome food, Penang hill and some major attractions. But not near to central, need to to travel by car for around 20 to 30 mins depending on the traffic. Will stay there again:) Overall. Superb!

Out of expectations ”

The location of the guesthouse wasn't really convenience for people who want to spent their time in town( George Town ) However, the room really worth of the money. I will strongly recommend people who wanted to stay cheap and want to hang around at tek lok temple and Penang hill

Booked this homestay again for my relatives on my own check out day.Knowing from my relatives that the management question bout the booking that am I actually book and resale to them.....this is quite improfessional..... However feel thanksful to management for staying til 11pm plus for my relatives to check in.

Clean and convenient”

Didnt meet the management at all during our staying made us felt more convenient. Had good rest and sleep with comfortable bed.erm...is just that maybe the homestay should replace the self serviced coffee powder, it is already stiff.

The air conditioner is not cold enough at night .”

The location is good there is lot of hawkers and food court around. The guesthouse is on 2nd floor but there is lack of car park and the central air cooling system is not enough cold especially at night.

Vstay over view”

Overall the environment is good. The Staff(boss) services are good too. There are games prepared for guest in the living room. Only 3 things seriously would like to mention is the parking space are limited, there are around 10 car park space to car including outside people and guest. Air circulation is not good smoking smell into bedroom. It is not suitable for you if you are unable to fall as sleep with snoring as you will heard any sound from room beside.

Bad Service”

Me,my mother and my baby travel to Penang for Pray,we book for one night thr but our flight delay,when we arrive bout 9pm, we call for check inn and wait for twenty minute at the front hotel and when the person in charge is here,she said she dint reserve the room for us and dont hv our name in list,but the agoda voucher already print out stated complete and successful, but the hotel people insist said we dint book the hotel, after argue bout thirty minute, we finally get our money bck n we direct call for relative for help.after that the hotel owner just call back said that they will book another hotel for us and keep apologize for that .but it already 11pm at night.we dont think we still wana travel again late at night.this is my experience at this hotel,but the owner still very nice and soft talk ppl. The apologize are accepted and we hope for improve.

clean. affordable and comfortable. only complain is the toilet suction fan was a little too noisy but can be turned off by offing the toilet light.overall recommended to stay.

Good location and nice service”

I feel quite comfortable to stay there because I can act like staying my own home. However, the bathroom is quite small, not so suitable for big size and tall people. The facilities some have problems, unable to function well. It didn't provide food but coffee. You also easily to hear sounds from the neighbors and the room have no window so unable to look the view outside. Sometimes, you may saw someone who only wear a short pant. But I guess I still choose it next time if I come again, not only because the location, the Japanese-style room but also the friendly attitude.

Staffs are friendly, environment is good. The only bad thing is that rooms are not able to connect wifi, only lobby can. I hope that it will make an improvement on this problem and I definitely will come back again.
