Immaculate well provisioned studio apartments”

i have no complaints or negative things to say about auckland city oaks - it was a really good stay. i have stayed in several places like this in auckland but oaks is the best so far. other places offer free internet but the service is so poor and slow it's hardly worth having (such as the quadrant). indeed auckland city oaks was very good in all their provisions. i liked the breakfast - delivered each evening - although the juice was more sugar than fruit. more shelves and hooks in the bathroom would be a great idea - especially for 2 people sharing. our bedroom windows didn't close too fully and so it was a bit noisy from the road - but this is very common in auckland hotels and serviced apartments. double glazing doesn't seem to have reached nz yet. all the staff i encountered were really helpful and pleasant. a major problem for people travelling by public transport is location - the airport bus goes no where near hobson street and it cost $10 by taxi for the very short trip from the ferry building. i should have checked out the shuttle service.

Exceptional”

VR hotel Auckland City, is a perfect place to stay because it is very accessible to the nearby tourist spots, transportation and restaurants. The hotel is very neat and provides all your home needs. Moreover, the staff named Ms.Yarshna was very considerate, kind and very helpful. I left my phone at the uber car and she helped me sincerely all the way until I was able to get my cellphone at the grab office. Thumbs up! 5 star rating!!! Will definitely go back to this hotel. Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

we found the whole process from booking through to checking in very user friendly. i booked for our selves and two other couples requesting that we all have rooms in close vacinity. we were able to socialise together in one room while watching our favourite rugby franchise continue their winning ways. my wife and i decided to stay in auckland an extra day, this was no problem at all to the staff, a quick juggle and we remained in the same room. thank you auckland city oaks for a lovely weekend. the jersey boys show was also fantastic.

Great location, good for family”

i was travelling with my parents and pregnant wife and i found auckland city oaks serviced apartments to be a good choice in terms of location within auckland city, and the price. the service staff were courteous and helpful. i had to bookt eh parking lot, and i found out that i can't do it theough agoda, so it resulted in a bit of inconvenience for me as i had to ensure that i parked in the right place at the right time. otherwise a good choice for budget-wise.

walking distance to cbd area in auckland, less than 10mins walk to sky city and queen st. apartment is located next police post, isnt it great. room was cozy, feels like home. excellent night view, with a mini view of auckland from the 8th floor. staff were helpful and friendly. breakfast can be improve, ideally with some jam instead of cold bread. it will be good to install thermal heater in the room and provide a clothes rack for usage. small parking area that need to pay.

Great Value for Money”

The stay at Auckland City Oaks Serviced Apartments was lovely, helpful staff, clean and tidy front enterance & value for money rooms. Breakfast was provided (yoghurt, musli bars, muffins, babanas & fruit juice) & delivered to our rooms the night before. Apartment was clean and tidy although could not find an extra blanket (would have been given one if I asked) but ended up not needing one as it was warm.

Auckland city Oaks Motel is located very close to the centre of the city, two minutes walking distance to the sky tower and the intercity bus stand. It is in the close proximity to the marina, main set of office buildings and all types of restaurants.The rooms are well maintained and spacious, while the staff is very friendly.

the only bad thing about this booking was the fact that we should have booked a car space before we arrived. this was not clear on the website when we booked. having said that it is the only bad point. right in the heart of the city, 2 minutes walk from the skytower and our favourite little restaurant "midnight express" for turkish food and great service.the rooms consisted of two separate bedrooms, a lounge and kitchenette, laundry and toilet. the staff were good, and the buffet breakfast wasn't too bad. this is a value for money location. next trip to auckland will find us returning to this hotel.

Brilliant location, bizarre breakfast”

Situated within easy walking distance of Queen Street, Britomart, the Viaduct and lots of awesome cafes in between. Clean, comfortable and spaceous enough for two friends on a girls weekend away, sharing a two bedroom apartment. Clean, tidy and easy on-site parking at $25 overnight. The 'breakfast' was just odd to be frank. Delivered the night before - ham and cheese sandwiches, juice boxes of mango fruit drink (not juice) and muffins. Who eats sandwiches for breakfast?? Sure it would be more cost effective to supply a few slices of bread, some spreads and a couple of pieces of fruit. I'm really hoping the food that's left behind gets donated to the City Mission which is just along the road. Only other tiny complaint was that half the instant coffee sachets had gone off - the coffee granules had gone black and were clumped together. I rarely drink instant coffee, having brought a packet of plunger coffee with me, only to find there was no plunger. Having said all this, I'd be more than happy to stay here again - my husband and I stay in Auckland at least 6 or 7 times a year and this would likely now be my accommodation of choice.

Home away from home”

Overall, Auckland City Oaks surprised us with good things. We were given a 2 room apartment for the price of one. Clean, large, and comfortable, with friendly kitchen. Good card security. Well located in the city, and walkable to most city sights, and good outside food choices. There was no breakfast room but we had free breakfast to the room. As a suggestion, it might be better to offer choice of dry breakfast foods that the good kitchen can whip up, and not just cereal bars, yoghurt, and a packet drink. Highly recommended, for for a city hotel. Ong, Singapore.

Located at the city center, spacious room”

If you don't have a friend that can tour you around, then choose a hotel near the wharf or other attractions. But if you have a friend that can do such a big favor to you, then choose some place suburban. The hotel located in the city center, close to everything. But the stores nearby are quite expensive, almost twice the price at suburban. Those main shopping centers are located outside the city center. Service is good, there is washing machine in the room, and hot pole for drying tower ect. but the internet is unacceptable....too slow and unstable. Breakfast is good. They will send the breakfast to the room the day before.

we really enjoyed our weekend at the oaks. immaculate housekeeping with everything you need for an enjoyable visit to auckland. very comfortable bed plus washing machine, iron and ironing board. the kitchen was very well appointed. very handy to the cbd, sky city and viaduct. could not fault this hotel. will return for a longer visit.

My family stayed here for a holiday in Auckland. The staff were nice and accomodating. We were even given the opportunity to transfer to another room when we requested it. Big beds. Large rooms. Just a small walk to the city, shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel! 👍

Great location, friendly staff , but small ronms ”

We (4 people) stayed there for 3 days/2nights in October, the weather in Auckland City is so unpredictable. I fully agreed with the comments made by one of the taxi driver who said one could experience 4 seasons in one day in Auckland and need not wait for one full year. Auckland City Oaks Service Apartment is centrally located and within walking distance to the Skycity tower and also harbour area. There are 2 Asian Grocery stores opposite the street with many foodstaff easily available and long operasting hours till 9pm.

I had a very good stay in the aparment. Though the room was small I found it to be perfect for me. It is in a great part of the city and is easy to get to all the features that Auckland City has.

WE LOVED STAYING AT THE AUCKLAND CITY OAKS. ITS WAS A LARGE ROOM WITH COMFY BEDS, A GREAT VIEW WHICH WAS CENTRAL TO THE CITY.. IN WALKING DISTANCE TO SKY CITY AND A GREAT BREAFAST.

overall, we liked our stay at the auckland city oaks. it was a bit far from queen street. but it was ok for us, since we liked to walk. auckland is expensive, so we ended up buying groceries (ask the front desk where the grocery store is) and cooking our meals. they had everything needed for cooking, including salt and pepper. i am glad they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom, as a 1 bedroom might have been too small and we didn't want to leave our luggage in the living room area since we were cooking.

Booked hotel/apartment via Agoda. I have stayed at Oaks chain of apartments often and found their service and accommodation above par. Internet/Wifi was inclusive but Internet service was not reliable, this needs to be upgraded as guests have to pay for this service and would expect reliable service. Continental Breakfast is provided. Location is excellent, it's only 10 minutes walk to Auckland CBD, Viaduct, and surroundings. Staff were friendly and helpful. And best value for money.

I read some reviews complaining about the size of the apartment. I felt for Auckland downtown within a block of Sky Tower the rooms were reasonably sized. The location is perfect but you do need to book parking in advance. I did not get parking and ended up parking on street which is not easy to find.
