Amazing hotel! ”

We enjoyed our stay with Vortex Suite by Idaris. The staffs are all helpful and approachable. The rooms are clean and we had a good city view. It also comes with washing machine and kitchen for cooking. The bedroom has its own iron,iron board, kettle, cups and glasses with tea and coffee. The bathroom had a really nice set-up with hot shower. Location was perfect since its only 5 min walk to KLCC/Petronas Towers and theres a lot of streetfood around the building. Overall, ill give Vortex Suite by Idaris 5 stars.

Excellent”

I would recommend The Idaris KLCC for those who are planning to have a business trip. However, if you plan to have a travel in KL, I think you would deserve a better choice. Overall, the experience in The Idaris KLCC was fine. The first thing to mention is the staff, which is really impressive. They are really nice and willing to help. Secondly the location is so good that it just takes less than 5 minutes to KLCC and 15 minutes to Bukit Bintang. However, the hygiene of the hotel still needs to be improved. The corridors are always dirty. Even within my room, I could see small cockroaches for few times. Although the problem is not very serious, it should be reminded for those who very care about the hygiene. All in all, the experience in The Idaris KLCC was good. The staff did add value to the hotel.

Walking distance to MRT, to Suria KLCC & twin tower. Local restaurants and bars such as Hard Rock Hotel KL are also located near Idaris There is a 7 eleven downstairs if you are in need of basic necessities :) Twin tower can be viewed from the room and it is also equipped with basic room amenities such as hair dryer, iron and iron board, dvd player and toiletries. This place is also recommended for family travellers as there were 2 rooms adjoining in 1 unit with living room and kitchenette.

Value for money”

This is an apartment-type accommodation. We got ourselves their standard suite, and it was huge! The suite was fully furnished, with a washer, fridge, flat iron, hairdryer and other standard hotel-like amenities. Location is great, just in front of Shangri-La Hotel KL. There is a 7-11 store downstairs but not much food outlets around the area. One downside though is the check-in process after office hours as you would need to go through security, and the instructions were rather confusing (i.e., do we go to the 6F office first before going to the security office, and where exactly is the security office - the entrances of the apt are access controlled). Nevertheless, this apt is a great deal and would stay here again when I’m in town. Thanks, Idaris!

Great if you can't afford a full apartment”

We stayed in a private room in an apartment but we had enough privacy. The room is small but just nice, with an en suite bathroom. There was also a washing machine + dryer so it's super convenient. Took a while to figure out how to use it though. However, staff seemed unfriendly and dismissive. Check in was also confusing as there were no dedicated front desk at the ground floor. The front desk is at the 6th floor, you need to take the lift at the lower floor lift side, go to the 6th floor to the Idaris front desk (there were two other providers on the same floor if I'm not mistaken), then check in to your unit. Deposit is RM200 dor private room and need to be paid in cash. If you can afford a whole apartment do so, but if not a private room is enough for couples.

Best accomodation, great view and amazing staff”

This is probably one of the best accommodation that I got ever. The view from the room was amazing, we can see KL tower from our bed. Great value for money, we actually didn't expect anything else except for the basic room because the location itself is great for its price, but I was really happy when we saw how beautiful the room is and they even provided us all the basic toiletries and towels that we need. They even gave us snacks and water when we got there. Also, hands down to the staff of this hotel. They are one of the nicest I met. The guy on the reception area accompanied us on our room even if we arrived way early. Location is also pretty great because it is approx. 10-min walk from Petronas Towers, Suria and KLCC Train Station. The area is pretty high-end and I felt safe walking along the area of the hotel. Upon arrival though, they will ask for 200MYR deposit but you can get it back once you check-out. They will also give you a receipt for your deposit. Again, thank you for taking care of us during our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good place to stay, Nice view and near shopping mall. By the way, please put some broom inside the room, so we easy can clean the floor by our self.. because Housekeeping do cleaning for 2 day stay only. That all😬 Everythings is GREAT!! Will stay at Vortex next time.

Amazing place to stay ”

The place is in the best location close to everything. Amazing room. Cleaning isn’t done daily though and there is no safe in the room. One thing to make note of. You need to go to floor 6 for reception it’s not on the ground floor. Other than the place is absolutely fabulous. You can chill at the pool downstairs for just 20 RM. as well as the facilities provided in the room are great. Amazing view to top it off. If I happen to come back to Kuala Lumpur this would be the place I would be staying in.

Great location”

We stayed here for our trip in Kuala Lumpur and we literally walked to all of the most famous tourist attractions in the city. Everything is in walking distance. There is 7-Eleven right on the ground floor of the building. However, we saw cockroaches in the apartment. And the lamp in our bedroom did not work. After all, this is still an above average stay in Kuala Lumpur that you can find with excellent location, which would save a lot of money on transportation.

Kind of a scam”

Be careful when considering this motel. The photos on Agoda are misleading. It appears that the room is spacious. It is not! There are no adtual photos of the Idaris rooms on the Agoda site. The photos you see are of the multi-room suites, NOT the single rooms. The rooms are quite small. On top of that Agoda overcharged me 90 usd more than the confirmed rate, I have been a regular Agoda customer for 7 years. No longer. I am now booking through AirBNB. Much better rates and you deal with the owner, not some corporate bureaurocracy.

The apartment is located within walking distance to KLCC and monorail station(Bukit Nanas) also to shopping area like Pavilion, Bukit Bintang. Plenty of restaurants and pub by the side too. Room are spacious and clean with bathroom attached. We are a group of four so booked a room with 2 bedrooms, king size bed and kitchen .Strongly recommend for couple or small group travelers. We will be back for sure.

Great choice with good price”

I stayed for 2 nights in a standard suite in 35F. The staffs were friendly and helpful. First they gave me a room in 9F but then I asked to move to the higher floor and they accepted without disagreeable. I can see the KL Tower from my room, very nice. The suite is full equipped and very clean. However I can't use TV, maybe next time I will ask the staff for help. This place is near KL Tower and Twins Tower. You can walk for 10' to get there. It's near LRT Bukit Nanas and bus station. Price is affordable and worth every penny

Helpful and Smiling staff”

Difficult to find the hotel exact location. Giving Vortex as building name to taxi driver eases task. Very nice and helpful girls at reception. Kitchen is well equiped with an microwave oven.

Unhappy stay with a nice big room and good location”

I had a big and nice room with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It has a washer and a dryer, too! But there was no cable TV(national or any other channels)staff came back and forward to fixed it, and they could just give the regular local TV channel by 9 pm. No hot water, coz the outlet was broken. So we pretty much did nothing but playing with our own phone. Oh, and Wifi wasn't installed. The staff said it was a new room. But how could they weren't ready at all? This place is in good location. Only 5 mins walk to KLCC and about 15 mins walk to Pavilion Mall. Staff was helpful, he let me borrow the plug for my charger, and he gave a detergent to wash my clothes

Incredible place for under 60$”

Mark this: Early check-in is not at all possible, and it is a not a hotel. You will be surprised by the cleanliness and facilities they will provide you, we got a room in 51st floor so no need to even got to KL minera or petronas observation decks. Good view of the city, have stayed in 2 different rooms, facilities differ by flats, second room (different floor) had a washing machine, extra sofa in the hall, and big room (king sized bed), but first one was basic but with a good view. Value for money, very close to many attractions and mono rail is 400 mts away, hard rock café and many night bars near to the building. Many tamil and malay street food joints behind the building which are incredibly cheap and good at the same time.

Exceptional”

Location was excellent, near to klcc, pavilion and others shopping attraction. The only cons was the not so good sound proof . We Were disturbed by knock knock sound throughout the night, not able to sleep well.

Value for money for big group, traffic jam on the way, cleanliness very poor”

It is really value for money for up to 6 adults. The location of Idaris Vortex is alright. However, the way to this apartment always have traffic jams. In actual fact, it is only two rail stations away. As we are traveling in a big group with a baby, for convenience sake, we always get a 6 seater ride by car instead. I must say about the cleanliness though. I think it is comparable to hostel beds. It is really dusty and specks of dirt can be seen on pillowcases up close. During our stay, we have been catching little cockroaches in our room. By the way, we stayed on 55th storey and cockroaches still exist up there.

Recommended to stay at Idarris@Vortex”

There is a very nice stay with strategic location, reasonable price and excellent staffs service. On the first day, I was check in during a late hours, even the receiptionist has back to home, by the way they still able to arrange my Key properly, and I can check in the room smoothly. They give me a good impression with excellent service, when I came back to my JB home for few days then only found I have left something important in my room during checkout. Very luckily the staff help me find my thing, and courier it back to me. Really thanks for your kind helping! Nice day!

Two single beds room”

KLCC & Pavilion is within walking distance if using the KLCC - Bukit Bintang Walkway. The lobby is located at 6th floor. We are staying one of the room in 1 unit. Room is attached with bathroom, the living room, kitchen is the only sharing place. Overall is good. I still can see KLCC from my room view. The beds is quite soft for me. Sad that the staff not allow us go to swimming pool.
