Pros : 1. Very clean including the shower room and toilet. 2. shower room and toilet are separated, more than enough to use, even it is a shared facility, love it. 3. Hair dryer provided. 4. Nice satellite tv box. free flow of nice and latest drama and movies. 5. 24 hours convenient store (Orange) at ground floor. 6. few 24 hours restaurants nearby ground floor level. 7. Laundry shop nearby (bring your own coins). 8. Basic breakfast provided. Free coffee, tea and biscuits all day long. 9. Carpeted flooring and well decorated. 10. Bed is super comfortable and clean. 11. Next to a big shopping mall. You can find almost everything there. Only 2 minutes walking distance. 12. Safe and very pleasant surrounding environment. Cons : 1. Is a shared dormitory so expect to meet new friends and some noise. They do have private room too for more privacy. 2. Can hear aeroplane flying above. You will get use to it after few hours. 3. Reception is at level 1. Need to look up to find.

Fantastic hostel for a couple, would be lonely for solo travellers”
As a couple, I honestly cannot fault this place. It was FANTASTIC! More like our own floor of an apartment building than a hostel. It was immaculately clean, in a great accessible and safe and convening location and Mary at the fron desk was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, the bed was superbly comfortable, ac was good, shower good, right near lots of shops and restaurants, very clean, fast wifi, cutely decorated.. I would for sure stay here again if I was travelling with friends or a partner. I wouldn’t want to stay here if I was travelling solo and wanted to meet other people, although that said, there were thrree flors so maybe the other floors were more lively (we were super stoked that wasn’t the case on ours!)

Staffs very good and friendly. They would always try their best to fulfill all your requirements. They climbed up high to take down the unhealthy smelly refresher which was placed near the dining table, also to carry the iron I wanted from one level to another. Light breakfast comes with eggs are served every morning. Also there is hot and warm water in 24 hours. There is a restaurant just next door, the local fried mee Tuaran is yummy. Bed and comforter are so soft and smooth. They use Unblock Tech TV box which comes with more than 700 TV channels and more than 9000 movies. There is heater but water pressure a bit low. There is also fridge and microwave provided, you can heat up your food anytime. There are 5 levels in total. I stayed one night and then extended to 8 more nights.

Great stay there and excellent service from them. I love staying there as the place is super clean from the common area as well as the bedroom. it was also pretty convenient as it located just beside imago mall. Tho there’s a problem during the check in as i come early at 10:30am and during that time nobody is there yet at the front desk. Had to wait in front of the door for 30mins then only able to reach them to ask them if i can drop luggage first as check in at 2pm. After that, I understand as it is sunday so they will come a little bit late so i dont drag it too much. So if you are going to be there early before check in time suggest you check with them beforehand

Vibrant hostel is the place to be when you’re in Kota kinabalu. Why? It’s the location which is conveniently located at the heart of the city just beside the chic IMAGO SHOPPING CENTER. It is 10 minute ride from the KK international airport and the staff especially MARY my savior from all the queries that I ask. She is really helpful, respectful and lovable staff. And the guy(I forgot his name wearing glasses) is also very good and easy to talk to. Keep up the good work and I will definitely comeback and spread the good news of vibrant hostel. Vibrant hostel is a convenient place to stay fir solo traveler like me. Very near the airport and night market. The rooms are very tidy and I really love the softness of the blanket. One morning I woke up late and almost missed my flight because I had a good sleep bcoz of the comfort of my sleep. I would definitely come back to this hostel for sure. The manager was very considerate in adjusting my payment bcoz I made a mistake in booking stays . The staff especially MARY was very helpful and polite to my queries and the rest of the staff were amazing. Kudos to you and hope to see u when I come back to KK. Love frank

spacious room..very very comfortable..very clean toilet with pleasant smell..breakfast provided early morning..staff and bos remember your name..surrounded by mamak stall,7E,saloon,dobi laundry and imago shopping mall..the staf help me,allow me to use their computer for a while to web check in flight as well as print boarding pass..plus, even we juz stay one night before go to kundasang,they allow us to keep our bags,luggages and belongings in their counter room until we come back from kundasang next couple of days..truly appreciate their hospitality..wishing them all the best & future success

We had a perfect stay at this hostel. The bedroom was just the right size with comfy pillows and comforter. The bathroom was sparkly clean. I love the kitchen because it was fully equip. With unlimited hot water, coffee,tea and crackers perfect for a midnight snack. It has an awesome location near Imago mall (less than 2 mins walk) You can use Kota Kinabalu Time Square Hotel as your pin for grab and pick up points for your tour. (Klook & kk day). Would definitely come back with my family and friends.

First impression, the staff is very friendly and give a warm welcome. 2nd impression, it is so CLEAN. Simple room but it is clean. I LOVE IT. 3rd impression, the bathroom is CLEAN and they provide the hairdryer, bath soap and shampoo and I love the mirror. It have small and clean kitchen, have small place to watch TV. Overall I AM VERY SATISFIED with this hotel. 10 stars! ohh... it is near with IMAGO MALL also. cool right? will come again. love love love!

Excellent Hostel in KK”
Impressed by the service of the staff, very helpful and warm. Hostel is very clean as in most reviews. 6 shower rooms and 4 toilets for 1 floor, more than enough, excellent. Well maintained and is the best hostel I have stayed. Situated in an upscale area, feel much secured compare to other hostels near to town. Travelling around is convenient. Bed is very comfortable. Will come back with more friends. Next to Imago Shopping Mall. Thank you Vibrant Hostel.

Friendly staff and comfortable room ”
Firstly, the staff over here is super friendly and approachable! Whenever I met any problems they can solve immediately. Besides my mum is picky in cleanliness of toilet and she said that the toilet is super clean ! Although the toilet is shared with others but it is clean. My little brother also enjoy watching movie at the living room outside. There’s a lot of options for the movies. The bed is spacious and comfortable. Free breakfast everyday! :) Overall, great experience. Superb and cheap hostel .

Lovely place to stay”
Extremely well situated for the mall, convenience stores, 24 hour launderette. Nice breakfast left out from 4am to 11am. Clean and comfy rooms with super cosy duvets and pillows. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, if they don't know the answer they will find out asap for you! Bathrooms lovely and clean with toiletries and hair dryers. Only slight downside was very thin walls so could hear rooms and common areas but that is case in most hostels to be fair. It didn't put us off though, we stayed twice;-)

Great Hostel”
This Hostel is in a great location in the city. The hostel is very clean and comfortable with tea and a couple breakfast options available each morning in the lounges on each floor which are nice places to relax. The beds and rooms are very nice with air-conditioning and WiFi that both work very well. The staff is very helpful. The outside may just look like a concrete building but inside is a perfect hostel that I would definitely recommend with in Kota Kinabalu.

The place is very clean and tidy”
Pros : 100% cleanliness, wifi speed good, the property is new, free breakfast (simple bread and peanut spread) although they dont mention it upfront, the staff are very friendly to customers. Cons : TV area is small, the shower has low water pressure, plane take.off and landing sound heard quite frequently. Overall, its worth the money you pay for a simple hostel, since cleanliness/hygiene and tidiness is UTMOST importance for me, I would give an 8/10 rating for this one.

Amazing staff!! What a cute and unbelievably clean hostel. Great location lots of food near by and a mall. The staff organised 2tours for me foe the best price I've seen anywhere. Hassle free arrange all the details and can pay there. The rooms were great, beds comfy. You have an entire little kitchen, and little tv area! So cute love love loved it!!

I have stayed in many hostels, this is the best thus far. Very clean, especially the bathroom. Kitchen and tv areas are being cleaned few times a day. Friendly staff and cleaner. Bed is clean and comfortable too. Oh yes, 2 minutes walking to IMAGO SHOPPING MALL, very near. Good town location and value for money. Will come back for sure, highly recommended. Must try !!!!

Double room, extended stay ”
We only booked one night initially, but we extended our stay to a total of 4 nights here. The room is clean. The toilet and bath are shared but theyre kept really clean. nice mirrors and hairdryers too. Breakfast is minimal but they have the courtesy to provide what they can. Only problem is if you have a car, parking fee will be a problem. So we parked our car in the mall next door. Yes, the mall is only 100m away.
