Live up to its name!”

Cebu Budget Hotel lives up to its name. It's very affordable and suits different kinds of travelers. I especially appreciate the staff who were very accomodating of our needs. Dominic in particular, the front desk receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Not only will he tell you where to go but how to go there as well. He would give you some warnings as well in taking the public transport because there are specific jeeps that only travel to a particular route. Aside from that, he would also go out of his way to make your stay very comfortable. I booked a 6-bed room but when I arrived, my accomodation was upgraded to 2 rooms with 3 beds in each. His fellow staff even had my other compNions transfer to another room, which was better and more comfortable when the aircon in the previous room wasn't working. That really impressed me. I also liked that they hVe several lounge area where guests were able hang out at night. I was able to meet a German tourist and we talked for hours on the balcony. It was such a lovely ambiance. There were many foreign guests who enjoyed the lounge to smoke, get on their computer or phones. There's free wifi as well! Lol! The place is a stone's throw away from Persimmon which is a commercial arcade with shops and food stops. Very affordable prices and food tastes delicious. Definitely worth your money. All in all, I enjoyed my stay in this part of the city and I even dropped by the hotel to thank the staff once again for making my stay in the city worthwhile and comfortable. (I promised Dominic I would write him a good review and this is it!) kudos to the staff and keep up the good work!

Great hostel for one or 5 nights ;)”

Lovely hostel in busy cebu city. Very friendly and helpful staff! They can assist you with anything. The facilities are clean and the dorm is big enough with good AC. Cheap eateries and 7/11 are just around the corner. It is also close to SM mall and laundry is just next door. I'll always be back there when i am in cebu city!

Pretty good given its price”

My sister and I had to check-in to a place last minute because of some construction going on in our place. Tropical Breeze Hostel provided us with the service we need and more. We were upgraded to a family room (good for 5) when we booked a double room. Staff were quite friendly and accommodating. The room was old and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest but over-all it was okay given the circumstance. We slept well and that was what's important.

Excellent”

Perfect for a quick overnight stay in Cebu. If you're not that picky and sensitive in terms of bathroom, then you would suit well in this hostel. There are no toiletries available just a comfortable bed and aircon room. :) Kudos to the staff, they are very helpful and friendly.

Really nice stuff and very clean.”

Overall i can say this was a very nice location being aware u stay in the middle of cebu city. It is on a main street, which is not that favorable. It is more for backbackers, but we felt really confy. The price for a double air con shared toilet/shower was quite high I thought but it was worth the money. Overall, very good.

Keep your expectations low”

For the price, you would think you would get a shower and some air con (which my room was advertised to include). There was almost zero water that came out of the shower head and our fan had three rooms because the air con was so poor. The beds were ok (as long as you enjoy sleeping with ants) and the location was decent (although there is no reason to stay in Cebu City unless you're in transit). As long as you keep your expectations low, you'll be fine.

Great location, excellent staff”

Good location, highly trained staff and very much helpful in providing guidance in touring around the city. The location is just walking distance to SM Cebu and very much accessible.

The ubication is nice, very close to SM Cebu where you can take Jeepney to go to everywhere. Clean rooms and toilets The Staff is very kind and helpful. The internet connection in someplaces isn't very good.

Along the highway and near Cebu North Terminal, there's a walking distance 711 and restaurants. Great for those who are in a tight budget and ideal for solo traveller like me.

We enjoyed our stay because of the welcoming staff and nearby establishments; Persimmon and SM Cebu. I just have to warn you regarding the exterior of the place because the street was a bit dark at night, kinda dangerous if you walk alone. But everything went well. :)

Good”

The location was good. It's near SM Cebu and from SM Cebu you can ride a MyBus going to the airport. I booked a fan room but I had a free upgrade to an airconditioned room. My room also has a window so natural light can come in when I open the curtains. It was almost perfect but then my room was in an area where most guests gather and talk so I have to sleep with all the noise. On my first night while I was sleeping I started itching and I figured it was because of the blanket and the bedsheet since it smell like dogs and when I removed the blanket away from my body the itching stops. I asked them to replace it the next day and they did but the sheets still smell like dogs. I don't know maybe their fabric conditioner just smells that way. I didn't itch anymore after they replaced the sheets.

Superb Hostel!”

Booked 1 night stay for my brother since where I stay males are not allowed, and thankfully saw this Hostel currently on discount double room good for 2 for only 580 so I was like what?! booked it right away and went there around 6pm, greeted with the receptionist whos super nice also even upgraded our room with a bigger one not only that place is so cozy and quiet near to everything and super clean. I highly recommend this place. 👍 -Bukinon People

Friendly staff, convenient location”

Friendly staff, willing to tell you more about Cebu e.g. provide citymaps and dining options. Really small room without windows, clean shared bathroom. Be aware that there is no hot water.

The place is nice to meet fellow travellers. The location is great as it is very accessible and just walking distance to SM Mall, biggest mall in Cebu. Staff are extremely helpful in your travel plans!

near SM Mall Cebu”

It was a first to to stay solo in a dorm type style hotel. I decided to roam around SM Mall Cebu late afternoon til evening since it was around 5mins walk. Bed was comfortable and was able to get some sleep despite sharing the room with 4 other people from other countries. The restroom was clean and the staff even told me that the water on the pail was hot for me to use. On the side note, they only have 1 restroom on the ground floor. Although I didn't mind as I was the first to use around 5am.

Best for Solo or Group Travelers”

Place is clean and you can enjoy some fresh air at balcony on the second floor. Located in between SM and Ayala Malls, transports are easily accessible just outside the hostel. Staff are friendly and helpful.
