Satisfactory for solo short stay - Please change to new bed sheet”
Reception staff was friendly, shared bathroom is clean. the only turn off - Single room without window got bad odor due to no ventilation & old bed sheets & pillow cover. Walking distance to tourist spots like Menara Taming Sari, Jonker walk, Melaka river cruise, shopping malls & night market.

If you must...”
stay here for a night or two, maybe. It is located in a dark road which was too noisy throughout the entire night. It could be due to its being Friday night. The "Single room" I booked did not have any windows to air the mold/mildew stench that was present. It was really bad. I had to pay extra for them to let me to stay in the twin room even thought I was just 1 person. If you can tolerate the noise at night and do not mind fan cooling, then go ahead stay here.

dear guest, thank you for your comment and please be inform that we also had a nice room with air condition and private bathroom if fan is not good enough for you.you can choose the type of room that you like when you book through agoda and we the hotelier here is just an operator that going to provide you with the room that you booked.however if you find the room is not suitable for you...you may ask for an upgrade but off course a better room going to cost you a bit more which you have to pay extra upon check in.we were very sorry if we cant provide you a better stay but we will always make sure that your comment build us to comfort our customer in the future...thank you and have a good day

Great value & location!”
I stay 4d3n from 21 till 24 June 2012, it was a pleasant stay. At first I couldn't find the place, luckily I had a phone with GPS. The easiest way to identify Travellers Planet Hostel is Bunga Raya Pork Porridge restaurant which is just across the street. In front of the hostel can see the new landmark in Malacca which is the Taming Sari tower. To the right, there are Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall, Mahkota Parade & Hatten Square nearby, which is a good news for shoppers. Nadeje cake shop at Mahkota Parade (next to KFC) is a must try when visiting Malacca. A Famosa & St Paul's Church are just next to Dataran Pahlawan. To the left, there are Christ Church & Jonker street (Chinatown which famous with night market during Fri, Sat, Sun night and Chicken Rice Ball) across the Malacca river, or walk further along Jalan Laksamana till Public Bank and turn right, there is the Little India and the infamous Capitol Satay Celup, make sure to reach before 4:30pm else would have to queue at least 1 hour. Overall I am satisfied with my stay, nearby there is a food court "Newton Food Culture Village" selling nice Chinese food, weekend nights also have normal Malay style night market, the pork porridge across the street is so delicious! If want some nightlife may go to MIXX at Mahkota Parade. Too bad most of my photos were gone because my phone was stolen when I took bus to Malacca Sentral.

Decent place for short stay.”
It was a pleasant one night stay at Travellers Planet Hostel. WIFI is free and of moderate speed. Aircon is new hence working really. The bed is comfortable enough. Blankets and towels are available for rent. It's not much which is just 2 ringgit each. Breakfast is free (bread and jam) w/ tea served. It's their custom to take off your shoes when going about the common are and into your room. Bathroom is clean, with the loo and shower being separate. I myself am not fond of sharing bathrooms when traveling, but the hostel is well-maintained and you don't relatively have to share the loo with lots of backpackers which makes it a perfect place for short stay The staff managing the place also provides some good tips on how to go about in Malacca and the places of interests. Melaka, itself is just a small town so everything is walkable. I managed to see the "hotspots" in half a day

This place made our stay in Melaka a good one”
We booked this place whilst travelling Malaysia through Agoda and booked purely on the reviews it got. We arrived later than anticipated at Travellers Planet but we received a warm welcome and he showed us to our room which was large and bright and top of the guesthouse. He also showed us the common longue area for guests where you can laze around, read, watch DVDs, buy one of the cheapest beers in town at 6RM and also a separate kitchen area to make tea, coffee and have use of the large fridge. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk to the centre and jonker street, beside night market and malls whilst many eateries around also. We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it, we met many fellow travellers and had such fun sitting up with them having a drink and talking about life and having a laugh. This experience coupled with Melaka made this one of our favourite places on our tour of Malaysia. The advice and recommendations given were fantastic and he truely went out his way to make the experience at Travellers Planet an enjoyable one. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place and do hope one day that I can visit again as us two scottish girls had a ball

perfect place to stay for a budget holiday. The hostel also is a strategic place to stay because it is situated just near by the famous attraction in Melaka such as Menara Taming Sari, Jonker Walk and Dataran Pahlawan. By staying at the hostel, finding food to eat is not a problem because there are lots of restaurant and stall. Overall, it is worth to stay at Travellers Planet Hostel

Definitely choose back this hotel if we revisit!”
although we arrived very late(11pm),we were warmly greeted and nicely explained about the hotel features. the common movie room provided did allow the travelers to interact with each other. even though we did not join them much, their laughter did add to the friendly atmosphere very much. we choose fan room with shared bathroom for 4 days& 3 nights. the room is not too hot and the bathroom is very clean and big. although we suspected that the bed sheet was not clean always,it was just a small matter as we were looking for a budget travel the hotel is very near to tourist attraction spot, shopping complex and food stalls. during weekends, there are night markets (pasar malam) around the area too. besides, we were very pleased as the bicycles could be kept overnight inside the hostel! overall, we love the vibrant colour and friendly atmosphere of the hostel. we will highly recommend it to our friends ^^

Travellers Planet Hostel”
It was memorable. For those who loves sightseeing or walking around Malacca, Travellers Planet Hostel would make a very good choice. The surrounding area came alive at night with its night market and food stalls featuring some of the town's best local food.

My home in Melaka”
The manager picks You up at the Sentral Terminal. He is only happy to see You, sometimes euphoric about that, but don't worry, he will only help You, even if You don't stay in his hostel. Trust him, it's Ajid. The Travellers Planet is my home in Melaka. I stayed there for more than one week. And will go back. Once we had a family with seven kids evennthat worked. Farewell.

Great location, great atmosphere, great staff! ”
we ended up changing our bus ticket to singapore (with the help of adjit) so we could stay an extra night! this hostel has a great atmosphere and a real homely feel. perfect for travellers who want to be close to all the sights (within walking distance to jonker street, dutch square, china town & little india). the staff especially adjit and anna went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. the rooms are excellently priced and perfectly sized, ours with a private toilet/shower room, clean with good air con. endless amount of tea and coffee and a great communal area to watch dvds and chill out with a beer. a great experience! travelling as female friends aged 23.

Great location, Comfortable, and convenient”
We think that the place is very convenient which is really near to Shopping Complex, Dataran Pahlawan and Mahtoka Parade. Another amazing thing is that the famous cake shop Nadeje is just behind of the Travellers Planet Hostel. Besides that, the walking distance to Jonker walk is just about 10 minutes. Whereas, there are still have drawbacks, blanket is too thin, a lot of mosquitoes, and low quality of towel. It's still fair for the room rates and good services are provided. Overall I will rate this hostel for 7 out of 10.

Clean rooms, great location”
Cheap clean rooms. Hostel is right in the middle of Melaka city. I travelled with my grand son aged 4 and my wheel-chair bound father aged 84. You do not need to pay big money to have access to the wheel-chair facilities in Melaka city. From the hostel a variety of good food options are available depending on to your budget. After your shopping, sight seeing and dining trips, you can always return to clean rooms which is just a walking distance from the city. What more do you want?

Nice place for a couple of nights”
Farhan and Nash (the staff) are cool guys who are always available to assist you with whatever you need. I stayed in a room with a king size bed, toilet and shower was shared. Travellers Planet is close to the Melaka Megamall and the Menara (tower) Melaka. Most of the museums are walking distance and so is the Dutch square. I found it to be a pretty nice place to stay for a couple of days as I was passing through and though of seeing what Melaka had to offer as I continued you my backpacking journey.
