It breaks my heart to leave Toojou! I felt so at home in this hostel. Everyone is just so nice and accommodationg. From the Staff of Tamaha Cafe, most especially to Sam, you guys are so accommodating. Your food is great, I so love the Curry Chicken Rice, thanks for messing up with my diet. Lol. Sam's Dark Chocolate Mint Drink is so heavenly. I loved it so much. The front office staff, Fang Wei and Kelvin and the girl with peirced nose, you guys are so warm and helpful. You're not just meeting your guest's expectations, you are EXCEEDING it. Keep on doing on what you do! You guys are STARS! To the staff of Tamu Bar, Drago, Daniel, Doyin and the Korean Looking Tall guy, you guys are crazy! Crazy in good way! I love all of you nightly events and you always make sure that every table is okay and you guys act so quickly. I couldn't ask for more. Keep it up guys! About the facilities, this hotel is a gem. Great Opis Coworking Space, very clean room and toilet! Amazing!!

First of all, I would like to give a credit on the cleanliness of the room, I was staying on bunk bed room which has 6 beds per room. Good assistant upon check in. The interior design of the lobby is tip top. Has a level of huge common area which contains sufficient seats, laundry, office use, playground, pool tables, gaming as well. Nice cafe in the lobby, even wine cellar is available. There is a bar available on the rooftop for a chill session with music. I won’t mind staying whole day indoor because it is so much fun. Toojou exceed my expectations! love the design and concepts, hidden gem in Kota Kinabalu. Amazing team and staff are professional & friendly! Each of everyone greeted you whenever they bumped into you. Feel warm and excellent service. Their bed & pillows are super comfortable and clean. Managed to visit their cafe and rooftop bar, thumbs up ! Worth to dine in and make new friends at rooftop bar too. It was a great place to eat, sleep, drink & relax 👍🏼 You guys are awesome! Very "Nouveau" Place to Stay”
I only stayed for one night, so could not explore it fully, but everything I saw was up to expectations. Rooms were reasonably sized, equipped with Bluetooth speakers. WIFI router is in the room and the internet is fast, the toilet was slightly small but clean (Note: the bathroom in my room had translucent doors, so it was perhaps more suited for couples). There is a large common area on the first (not ground) floor for you to relax or do your work (there wasn't much table space in our room). The staff was friendly and the whole place was well-decorated with fluorescent lights and other designs.

To be honest, I've contemplating myself whether to stay at Toojou previously when I'm back to KK since I'm reserved with strangers but yesterday I think I'll give it a try. Arrived late to the premise, the staff guide me and answered my curiosity with patience . The room and toilet is clean, comfortable and I feel safe during my stay. The interior design is nice and trendy. Definitely will recommed to my friend and I'll definitely will come.back soooon. In fact, I'm extending my stay for one more night.

The best! Small but perfect ”
I often go to Toojou for drinks at Tamu at Dinner at Tana. First time staying here and it was great! The room is rather small but comfortable and cozy. Loved the Bluetooth speaker on the ceiling . Staff was amazing and was really helpful especially when enquiring about checking in early and late check out. Fast response! Highly recommend this place. A bang for your buck for sure!

We really enjoyed spending our 3 night here.Nice location, clean and comfy room,and of course friendly staff.Room had no TV, but the fast wifi and cool USB speaker makes up for it. Cause we spent more time outside the hotel,so we missed to check out on their Tamu bar and Tamaha cafe.Definitely will back to this hotel soon for next trip to KK.

Fab! Native to KK though not local to it atm as I’m working in another city, I was just as impressed by my 1-night stay at Toojou. I love their “Travel Meets Social” concept and they indeed very much fulfill it; love the decor which very accurately evokes Sabahan culture and tradition, their genuine hospitality (also what Sabahans are famed for), strategic location within the city centre limits and what its surroundings have to offer. Toojou is fitted out with a cafe, co-working space and rooftop bar all of which are aesthetically pleasing they excel as mood boosters and making your stay a memorable one. Will definitely re-patronise!

Hipster hotel with friendly staff and great breakfast”
The hotel was renovated to be a trendy hotel with wall paintings and a co-working space. There is even a slide from 2nd floor to the 1st floor. Location is about 10-15mins taxi from airport and quite close to the city centre. There is a rooftop bar on 6th floor, I stay on 2nd floor so there isn't too much noise. The room is quite spacious and I like the ethnic decorations. Breakfast has 4 choices such as local nasi lemak or omelette, it is just like having a meal in a hipster cafe. The staff at reception counter are friendly and helpful.

Recommended place to stay for solo traveler”
I would recommended this place to stay for the solo traveler. It was my second time staying in this place. Room are clean and tidy. They have others facilities too. While u stay here, don't forget to visit their bar. It's happening with friendly bartender and try out their locals beer also.

good location ”
location just at the center of kota kinabalu city. can easily find places to eat and nearby with convenient store, can use grab as transport to go here but still can walk to go near by attraction like gaya street or malls. ro was okay small but enough for two person. no tv in room but im cool with that as most of the time we're outside. so far satisfied and happy with my stay. btw at night there's a lot of youngsters gathering at pub and bar near that area and even inside and in front of hotel so its pretty noisy so not really suitable for family.

Amazing service, comfortable rooms, good vibes. It's a new hostel so everything is spotless and working fine. Receptionist was very welcoming and offered a lot of information about the city. The check in and check out was quick and smooth. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in K.K.!

Best value for money hotel with the friendliest staff!!”
Great location. It’s 5 minutes walk to the minibus and taxi station that go to the nearby towns. Walking distance to the main street. Lots of cheap eats around and 7-11 is one block away. Service is great and the hotel staff are very cheerful and helpful. There’s even a slide in the hostel. Highly recommended.

Traveler's Home away from Home”
Friendly staffs. Local sense of touch. Cafe food good though a bit pricey. Room was practical--spanking clean shower & toilet; love the bluetooth speaker, house slippers (provided new ones next day); super comfy bed & pillows and fast wifi. We were there to work on our laptops while catching up with our KK friends actually. So wifi & good music on speaker were big thumbs up! Suggestions: Would be good if shower cap is provided since the shower comes right above your head. Heads up: Parking space is a bit limited. If you choose to park else where nearby, scratch ur parking card! 😃 Overall: Definitely will come back.

This hotel is in a prime location, 7 to 15 minutes walking distance to the shopping mall and eat street. Hotel with good ambiance and well maintained. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. The best thing is the Co-working place, you can chill and relax with self service of coffee and tea.
