Thong Nai Pan was an amazing Bay for us to stay at. Pingchan is very secluded and the Ocean Villas are great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The resort is tucked away on the east side of the island. It's perfect if you want seclusion and quiet nights, but makes it a little challenging to get to the action on the other side. The beach has a nice selection of restaurants that are open until 9 or 10pm. The one at the end had the best Pad Siewe Moo!

We had a wonderful time at this wonderful resort at the most beautiful bay on Koh Phagnan! I visited Thong Nai Pan Yai for the first time 15 years ago and it was a joy to return to this magical beach bringing my wife and children along. The burmese staff were wonderful, the cuisine exceptional (especially the red snapper and pad thai) and the location is simply stunning. We will be back in the future

Loved our time at Dolphin. Booked 3 nights here originally, ended up staying 8. Pros: - Budget friendly accommodation in Thong Nai Pan Yai which isn't the easiest to find. - Staff was always warm, receptive and helpful in our interactions - Quiet all throughout the day - Just a 30-60 second walk to the beach depending on where your bungalow is on the property - Only 5-10 minute walk to town - Plenty of restaurant options in the area - Nice beach for swimming Cons: - Not Dolphin bungalows fault, but the fixed taxi prices on the island are absurd. Getting to this part or the island is expensive (300 Baht per personal for a shared ride, 800 Baht for a private taxi from the ferry). Taxi costs could get expensive if you don't plan on renting a scooter to get around to other parts of the island.

This hotel had a wonderful location on beautiful Thong Nai Pan Yai beach. The pool was nice but can get busy with families with children during the peak holiday season. The restaurant served Indian food and the hotel rooms were clean. The hotel grounds were full of lush, tropical plants. Transfer to/from the ferry was prompt and staff were very pleasant and friendly. Would stay here again!

Good rooms. Relaxed attitude and friendly staff. Not crowded but many come to have breakfast and lunch here. Small bar area but that's also good. In the centre of Thong Nai Pan Yai beach, it's an excellent starting point. I have Dreamland for the larger groups and families. Yai bar the other side and of course Flip Flop bar! which is a must to visit. No beach towels but they lend you mats. Room cleaning is on request and wasn't ever a problem. George behind the bar is always a friendly face.

Hello, Nous avons passé 4 superbes nuits en famille au Longtail Beach Resort. Les bungalows sont très bien agencés, le complexe est très bien entretenu. Le personnel très sympathique, nous avons tout à disposition, location scooter, taxi boat, plongée... La plage est magnifique ,nous déjeunons les pieds dans le sable, un sable blanc éclatant ! Seul petit inconvénient, il est difficile de se baigner dans la mer vu le peu de fond et la présence de rochers mais la piscine du complexe est parfaite avec transat et serviette à disposition. Nous vous conseillons vivement cet établissement situé dans un cadre merveilleux.

Literaly a nice bungalow on a nice beach. Actually we could not see the sea from ours (that was inside the garden, behind the restaurant/bar on the beach), but it was specified at the moment of the booking. The room was big, confortable and clean. Staff people were professional and always ready. PROs: - Swimming pool adjoining the beach. In the hottest hours of the day it was fantastic! - Possibility to take kayaks or (if you're lazy like us) deckchairs CONs: - Thong Nai Pan Yai beach isn't exactly "a paradise" (like some postcards or google images suggested)... Yes, it is a long and quiet white beach, but every centimeter is covered by bars/restaurants, so you don't really have the sensation to be isolated from the civilization. Morover, it is practically a parking for taxyboats, so you cannot swim freely.

One of the most modern, minimalistic bungalows I’ve seen in Thailand! Clean, decorated with taste, spacious with a comfy bed and private small terrace outside. The beautiful beach is at the front and just a couple of stairs down from the pool. About 5 minutes from the property you’ll find a small village where you can pick up some groceries, get a massage or have a nice meal. If you are looking for a more crowded, touristic place you need to walk or take a scooter ride to the next town (beach: Ao Thong Nai Pan Noi), it’s just over 1km. Last but not the least: the owners are superb and helpful, they will do everything to make your stay unforgettable and relaxing!

We had a room dead on the beach, maybe 15 steps to the water. The room isn't anything fancy but it was exactly what we wished for, open the door at your at the beach. Andy, the owner, is a swiss guy with better english than ours, and was super friendly, had many useful tips only a local could tell, we booked 2 night and wound up extending our stay over and over again for almost a week.

Staying in the Bamboo Bungalow was like a dream. They've got a nice garden where the bungalows are located - each has an own small balcony with hammocks where you can perfectly relax. Also its very spacy, lots of shelves and an own bathroom. It was very clean, nevertheless you shouldn't mind about smaller animals coming in as its not entirely closed (ants, spider, gekkos) - I didnt mind, this place feels very natural. Also its located next to a nice food market, where you can have breakfast and dinner, also it has a nice restaurant itself, the owners are very friendly and good cooks. They've got a nice area for eating and drinking in the middle of their garden with good music. Walking to the beach doesn't even take one minute. Totally recommend this place for people who are not looking for buckets and party but a natural place to be and feel good :)

This was the best holiday we have had in many years. Central Cottage Resort is in the middle of the most beautiful stretch of beach in Tong Nai Pan Yai. This is a family-run resort and as I understood it, the family is from Burma. They were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay there. We stayed in a poolside room, which was quite adequate. The beds were comfortable and air conditioner worked fine. Refrigerator and TV with only Thai programmes in room. The bathroom had a shower with no walls, toilet and basin. The resort has an infinity pool that goes right up to the beach with beach chairs to sleep your days away on in the sun. Lockers at reception to lock away valuables. WiFi and internet service also available. The resort also provides for transport from and to the ferry terminal at Thong Sala and the full moon and half moon parties at a nominal fee. Motorbike hire also available. The beach front restaurant offers a very broad menu with some of the best hamburgers I have ever tasted. From 7pm to 10pm every evening, they also offered a barbeque with steak, chicken, a variety of fresh fish, langoustines and prawns. On New Years Eve, we were treated to a stunning buffet. Breakfast (included in our room rate) consisted of fruit and yoghurt, cereals, bacon, eggs, toast, coffee and tea. Central Cottage Resort is flanked by the Yai bar to the left and Flip Flop bar to the right. Both bars have their own distinctive styles and offer good food and late night snacks. Many Thai massage parlours available on the beach. Central Cottage is an established resort and does look a bit more rustic than on its website photographs. However, for what we paid, including breakfast, I must say we really got value for our money and I’ll recommend Central Cottage anytime. I am also planning to stay there again.

If you are in Phangan and looking for an escape from your daily routine then THE GREAT ESCAPE is the place that you HAVE TO stay. It was the most memorable time I had and the Chalets are immaculate. Our host MIU was superb and made our stay even better. The only gripe i have is that I only had 3 nights of stay in Phangan. I loved Great Escape and kudos to the owners, this really is a great escape. The next time i visit Thailand, I know already where to stay in Phangan. 2 Thumbs up !!!
