Great stay”
The resort hotel was great, living up to the Westin name. We booked 2 rooms and 1 room had a problem with the air conditioning but we were upgraded to a better room instead. Facilities was good. Beach was a step a way. Room was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Shuttle was provided for a ride and sightseeing around Desaru coast area.

A nice place to relax”
The hotel is situated along a stretch of resorts in Desaru. It is about 2-3km away from the Desaru Coast Adventure Park. There is a free shuttle bus service to loop between the hotels and the park if you are not driving. The hotel staff are very polite and helpful with a smile. We felt very welcomed. The room is spacious and all the amenities very well-thought of. The infinity pool though it a tad small but it has a great view to the beach about 500m away. The spread complimentary breakfast buffet is excellent and everything tasted good. This hotel/resort is a great place to unwind and enjoy the down time. It was a pretty that we only stayed for 1 night. We will be back definitely in the future!

Wonderful experience”
Thumbs up to Westin Desaru under Marriott group ! Very polite staff, every staff greeted us warmly , from front desk to janitors . Spacious room, huge bed , staff attended to our requests promptly . Love the widespread breakfast as well, good variety even for a vegetarian like me. We stayed one night at Hard Rock opposite Westin before move in to Westin, well, no regret in changing hotel. My kids love this place .

Memorable staycation”
Overall i'm satisfied with this hotel. Just a bit disappointed because i request higher floor but unavailable during check in. But i got late checkout at 2pm so i'm happy! The room very nice and clean, bed so comfy. Buffet spread was so good and comply with SOP. This hotel also has private beach. If you want to go to Hard Rock Hotel, just in front of Westin. U can walk or use buggy provided. Parking fee rm5 if you validate your touch n go. If not, need to pay rm5 per hour. For me, maybe u can just give free parking to your guests. But surely will repeat if come to Desaru again.

Beautiful, serene resort”
What a lovely, relaxing resort in the heart of Desaru! We enjoyed the serene beach, the lovely view from the room, the Kidsclub and the spa. Already planning our next getaway to this place. Only thing which can be improved upon was the variety of food choices. Breakfast was good, but lunch and dinner choices at the hotel were limited.

This resort is amazing. In love with the seaview from my room. customer service is good, the staff called to ensure everything is up to our liking. I love the bed too, really comfy. Peaceful environment. A good place to free up your mind. location is near to desaru waterpark.

Excellent place to enjoy beach ”
Near to beach. In fact, just opposite the beach. The room is directly facing toward the beach. We could off the aircorn and just open the door and sleep at night, to enjoy the natural wind and sounds. If you want to go waterpark, then you should choose hard rock hotel instead as it is nearer. Overall, this hotel is excellent in location. Beach is just few steps away! We enjoy it very much! Very relaxing !

Nice stay”
We had a seaview room, it was lovely. A relaxing stay for us as we celebrate my husband's birthday a day in advance. The hotel staff were so kind to surprise us with choc fudge cake and a nice card in the room. Thank you Westin Desaru, we will definitely be back.

Disappointed ”
Pros: friendly staff everywhere. In room dining food is expensive but it is delicious. Cons: having to pay 200+ for a night is not something i will go for usually when spending a vacation but it is our wedding anniversary hence i wanted a nice clean room. However i was disgusted to find a lizard hiding behing the toilet door. The reason why i book this hotel is because it is new so i expect it to be pest free. I am scared of lizard by the way . For the price im paying for i can get a room with private pool at a nearby resort . Will i come back? Unlikely.

Exceptional”
Relaxing place to unwind for family. kids room is fun and new. pool is just next to the resturant and the children loves the morning dip cum breakfast. Parents can keep a close eye while still enjoying their breakfast. Staff are impeccable and was especially helpful. Little one was whining at dinner and mum did not get to enjoy her buffet dinner, the staff helped to pack some food from the buffet line and sent to the room so mum can enjoy while little one sleeps. It goes beyond their normal service for them to do that.

Premise is good but unpleasant customer experience ”
The hotel is nice but the arrangement for the room was pretty bad. I booked 2 seaview premier room but was allocated a partial seaview room. When highlighted this to front desk, their explanation was partial seaview was on the lower floor because it was blocked by trees and etc ....so the room that they allocate to me on L6 was a full seaview.....this is ridiculous because the angle is the same regardless which floor i am on. The view of the full sea view room that was published on their website was different from the room that was allocated to me. Most important of all, i paid more for that room with that view. The premise is good. It's the customer experience with room allocation that is below expectations.

Awesome staff, great attitude, clean hotel, big comfy bed”
I rate this hotel 4/5 overall, only because there is a small distance between the hotel and the beach. Given how this hotel was advertised (private beach) and its pricing (Westin), I expect my beach is only a stone throw away, but it isn't. What is noteworthy though, is the commitment of the staffers towards their guests. Breakfast buffet is SO YUMMY and lots of selection (given it is during Covid19 period). If you are looking for a nice and relaxing vacation to catch up on SLEEP, this is the place to do it. The bed is big and comfy, selections of pillow. Blackout curtain, all the lights can be turned off. Great for sleep. I would definitely come back again.

Star hotel in desaru coast”
Super good facilities, very attentive staff , excellent food. The morning breakfast is awesome- what a spread!! Western, Chinese, local, Indian and Japanese ... just like homemade . Dinner or lunch try their wood oven fresh pizza or tandoori chicken and naan ... hotel is next to hard rock hotel and adventure park and has a private a beach .

Love the privacy + the quietness of the place. Spent our anniversary @ Westin and we were delighted that we got upgraded to a Premier room with sea view. Our room was nicely decorated with towels molded into swan and we got a surprise wedding cake too! I'd like to thank Agnes, Prapoo, Shermaine and the whole team for making our stay wonderful, such a warm and welcoming staff! Love the gorgeous sea view, big spacious room, cleanliness of the hotel and super delicious breakfast buffet! Keep up the good job!!

It is a good second choice to Hard Rock Hotel”
We enjoyed a good weekend at The Westin Desaru Coast Resort. Staff were friend and so so efficient. If you like a real good coffee and at the lobby bar is an excellent coffee machine, it is impossible to get one coffee for breakfast... However, overall it was an okay and the breakfast was quite good. For us it is an comback, especially we can go over to hard rock hotel.

Relax and chill”
Great place to relax and chill . Was windy and the staffs were friendly . One downside was there were no smoking rooms . So its was a hassle to have a smoke . I recommend the least they could do was make the balcony in every room as a smoking point for guest .
