Amazing staff!!”

We decided to take a short side trip to Chiang Rai before our plans to celebrate Loy Krathong in Chiang Mai and we are so glad that we did! Such a beautiful city full of the friendliest, most accommodating people. Wherever we went, we were greeted with smiles and the people are very genuine and kind and the city is relaxed and has not been taken over by tourists. The location was a little trek away from the main part of town but we had rented a scooter from the lobby and had a great time exploring the city. The hotel is only 3 months old so everything is in working order and clean. Bed is very comfortable and the location is peaceful. The staff at the villa are amazing! My girlfriend left her purse in the lobby with no ID and a lot of money. We didn't realize that it was missing until the end of the day and when we were rushing out to retrace our steps we decided to stop and ask at the front desk and the very kind and friendly manager asked for a description and was so happy to return it to us. We were floored... literally, as my girlfriend had close to $500 in her purse! My apologies for the long review but I just had to share that story as we were so touched. The manager was the best, not just for her honesty but she was extremely personable, spoke great english, and was very helpful! :) We have already decided to come back to Chiang Rai and this is where we will always stay.

Helpful staff and great location!”

Villa Chiang Rai is new and very clean. Location is decent with access to plenty of food options nearby and walking distance to the night market. During my trip, I had a slight injury (my own fault) and was looking to buy some medication nearby. One of the hotel staff kindly helped me with this, despite my not knowing Thai. Very kind and helpful staff who are always obliging and polite. Thank you so much for your help!

Short stay ”

I stayed here only one night. Quick check-in, nice staff, great easy breakfast. My room is clean and big. Bed is comfy. One thing need to minus is the drain is poor. When I took shower, all the water is flood and wait for a while to get rid of it. I think i will stay here again if I visit Chiang rai.

Clean and worth the money”

Was clean for a great price. About a 10 min walk from the night market. The Sunday Night market is only a few minutes away. The room was clean and very modern for a hotel in Chiang Rai. Would highly recommend

Great stay in Chiang Rai”

The hotel must have been just built because everything was absolutely brand new. The room was clean, bed was comfy, wifi was great and it was absolutely amazing value for money. I had a scooter so it wasn’t a problem, but it is a little North of the city center, so you’ll have to walk a lot or keep getting tuktuks. The staff were very friendly but had limited English skills, plan to have a translator app. If you’re an independent traveler, this is a fantastic value find.

Same as a 5 stars hôtel”

The hôtel is brand new. It could be a 5 stars hôtel. Room are big, Claen with all facilities. Staff is friendly. Not too far from city center (15 min Walking). Very quite Area. Small restaurant in front of the hôtel. For perfection, the hôtel could rent/provide bikes for the guests ( maybe in the future? ;-))

Great modern hotel, great staff, clean rooms”

Perfect place for a family with kids. The room was very clean, comfortable. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast. My kids loved staying there. It is not in the center of the city but about 20 min walking to the main attractions.

Austere but good value for money”

Easy to find with satnav. A good place to rest your head for the night.Check in was swift and the room clean. The Villa is obviously very new and it shows. Decent towels, soft (especially by Thai standards) bed and modern bathroom. Looking for things to criticise: no bedside cabinet/table, poor lighting over the bed, water from the shower flows across the room to the waste outlet... very Thai. These should not detract from the excellent value for money offered by The Villa.

It’s okay”

The location was fine not very far from the city center but not in a walking distance. The facility is ok, there is a minimart nearby and a snack bar in your room which the price super affordable. The breakfast was fine. Just fine not that good. The biggest issue that i dont like about this hotel is the cleanliness! There is an ant on my bed which in hav no idea where is it from. I have to ask a staff to get my bed sheet changed and the blanket also

Great position once you check area out”

Hotel accom was spacious and had a small balcony which we love. Tuk tuk or songtaew needed to get to city centre or long walk if have the time. River and the excellent 'Melt in your Mouth' restaurant nearby. Lots of small supermarkets and food options range from some food stalls, local restaurants, 99baht hotpot and the very good Freddies (western and local) all on same street as hotel. I would definitely stay again

Good Location, price and great staff”

The Hotel was very modern, the staff were extremely professional and helpful. English was spoken. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The only problem I had, was that the TV had no English channels, which shouldn't be a problem when you are on holidays, but every so often you do like to watch some tv. I would still recommend this hotel

First timer here”

The room was big compared to other hotels we stayed. It has more mirrors compared to other hotels but we only sleep here for one night. No toothbrush, toothpaste and shoes provided. As we took songthew to come back, it is not too far from the night market. But driver need to call hotel for direction even when we show him the hotel namecard.

Clean and modern”

Quiet neighbourhood location with only a few eatries in walking distance. Would stay again if passing through Chiang Rai.

Solid hotel. Clean and spacious. Friendly staff. Location is a little away, but not too far. Skipped the breakfast option and went out for my own. Good value for the price.

Overrated, breakfast was a laugh”

I don't know if i was unluckly compaired to my fellow reviewers, who stayed here, but all in all i didn't want to stay one minute more, than the two days i made reservation for at first! Arrived tuesday afternoon! The hotel looked quite new and has a very nice and tidy reception! - was given a room on the second floor(8/9 floor hotel) although i had requested a room on a higher level - and No, the hotel was not full! The roomsize (deluxe Queenbed) was nice, but i wonder why they have outlets at both sides of the bed, but no bedtable!?There was a big aircon over the balcony door, no remotekontrol - it was exstremely noisy even at the lowest speed. We couldn't have a normal conversation because of the noise(would have been impossible to sleep), so we chose to turn it off. Room had a refrigiator, which also made a loud noise everytime it cooled down. Bathroom had a nice size, shower separated from the sink and the toilet at distance - but because someone "slept" when designing the bathroom, the drain was put just in front of the toilet, which meant that you got a footbath if someone used or had taken a shower! Breakfast the first morning was a laugh. Buffettable with coffee and tea, two toasters, toast, butter and jam - no juice, no real milk(not even for the coffee or tea), no sereal and no fresh fruit😳 and we are in Thailand. When we asked for fried egg(8:30), we were told that it was "sold out"!! Don't know if it was the look on my face, that made her conjure two fried eggs for me in 5 minutes! The next morning they had a buffet, with fried eggs(cold😠), some thai dishes and soup! For a tree star hotel this size i have to say again, that it's overrated for what it promise the quests! I'm sure that few ajustments could bring them among the best tree star hotels in Chiang Rai - just make sure that the aircon is quiet, serve a decent breakfast, with sereal, yoghurt, milk for the tea/coffee, juice, and fresh fruit! Excellent got and amazing deal on Agoda.Everything superb except for the dangerous design of the shower with the heater below the water flow.When we return we will be staying here.

Nice and quite location”

I have a great experience while I stay there. The staff was nice and friendly, they helped me out with getting around town and also pointed out local events going on around town if I was interested in checking them out. They set me up with a driver that took me around sight seeing for the day of some local temple and other attractions in the area. I think the only thing negative is that the WiFi was not the best in my room, other than that all else is good

friendly helpful staff”

Our stay was very comfortable. Slept like a baby, aircon worked very well. Needed a motorcycle for a 15 day hire the staff had me pick from brochure and the bike was delivered to the hotel when asked. Will definitely stay again if back in chiangrai.
