Magical, quiet spot on a private beach ”
The theatre villa is truly a gem. It’s absolutely perfect for someone looking for a quiet, secluded place away from tourists and chaos. It’s set on a private beach and you can sit on a naturally shaded lounge chair with a cold drink to watch the sunset before enjoying the wonderful food made on premises. The rooms have lovely views and are spotlessly clean. It’s clear the owner has taken the time to make this a special place. If you need a vacation from your vacation, this is it!

10 of us recently stayed for a long weekend at The Theatre Villas. The hotel is directly on the beach & from the moment we arrived the owner & her staff made us very welcome. The standard rooms were a good size, clean & provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is substantial, delicious &well presented! We will definitely return.

Awesome food”
A very warm welcome from the owner, who is also the head chef as far as I could gather. Only stayed on night, but had breakfast lunch and dinner here. Food was excellent. Room was clean and tidy, perhaps a little tired, but no complaints. WiFi in my room was weak, otherwise everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

Great getaway”
Owner was wonderful, room spacious and clean. In high season I imagine the beachfront services might be open bit they weren't in July for us, but staff did deliver drinks to us from the reception. Luckily we had a six-year old on hand to deliver our order. Not sure the view could be described as "seaview" as advertised. It faced the sea, but all we could see was the foliage. Can't complain though, being in nature was exactly what we needed.

Serene bubble of relaxation”
We stayed 3 nights in the suite beach front at the Theatre Villa. The setting is amazing and restful. Our unit was quite large and well equipped. Decor was quite dated but everything was functional. - Kettle with coffee and teas - Large fridge - Bed comfort was very good plus white sheets - The couch in the room was a bit strange to us - a plasticky covering - The bathroom was large - There were a few ants seen in the room just after sunset, but considering you are several feet from the beach, somewhat understandable - At the beach, we saw 5 chaise lounge chairs - they were very comfortable - A hammock, however it was ripped - A bar area that we wondered if it was ever used All the meals we had were cooked by Jane and everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious. We did find that portion sizes differed slightly from night to night There appears to be remnants of a bar in the restaurant, as we saw some old wine and liquor bottles, however only beer was on the menu. We really enjoyed ourselves at The Theatre Villa and wonder if the maintenance of this lovely property will improve.

Nice small hotel by the see”
Hotel is small and is located by the see in the beautiful garden. There is a small private beach area with some beach beds availble. Hotel is clean. Standard rooms are not vey big and there could be some chairs and clothes drying rack on the balcony. Staff is very friendly.

Rustic Cheer”
Great location on the beach. We were upgraded from a botique villa to the beach front villa. Nice room but badly laid out as all plug points are not where you would expect them. The mattress had clearly seen too much action as it was sagging. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The owner was very sweet and bery attentive. I would recommend it for a out of the way stay.

Peace, away from the maddening crowd ”
Nice small hotel - beach front. The owners and staff are excellent and very helpful. This is my third time at this hotel - it lacks a pool but it seats on the beach. The breakfast is good but no yoghurt which would be nice. Rooms are serviced every day - spotless.

The room rate didn't match the service or the fittings”
We arrived on the morning train from Bangkok. We left our bags and a request for the owners to call us when our room was ready. We returned at 3 pm and although the room was ready, no one had bothered to call us. Shower time. Except for no water. The owner suggested there was a problem with the municipal water supply but we could use another room, recently built, to have a shower. I thought it strange that the municipal water situation was only affecting our room, but I decided to make use of the showering arrangements. The next day, after we had our morning shower (in another room) we headed into town for breakfast. We came back a few hours later and I wanted another shower. This seemed an inconvenience for the owner as the room had just been cleaned and he was hoping to rent it out. His staff brought me the key and I showered. At this time, my partner noticed that the garden hose for watering plants, which was located outside our room had full pressure. I went and ask the owner to accompany me as I demonstrated the working hose. He initially tried to fob it off again as a municipal water issue but then decided to call a plumber. Problem semi-resolved and we now had water, but cold. Plumber came back. Problem resolved and we had hot water. It seems strange that the previous guests had gone without a shower during their stay and didn’t mention it. We had not been able to check in early as the owner advised us that the Boutique Villa was occupied. Equally strange was the owners didn’t think such an inconvenience was worth an apology. There are three types of accommodation on offer here. Most of the guests seemed to stay just one night and perhaps the newer buildings are better value. I don't know. We stayed at the Boutique Villa. Our room was tired and dated. 20 years old at least. The price we paid did not match the quality of service, fittings (from the 1990s), beach chairs (in need of some tender loving care), etc… Because of the price we paid, I’d ex

Very helpful owner”
The owner goes out of her way to help her guests. She also has a special talent for design and this includes the presentation of all dishes in the restaurant. The beach area seems quite isolated but this will suit anyone who is looking for peace and quiet.

Overpriced room, hard to access location”
We came to the hotel for two night vacation on the beach with our main activity as snorkeling. The hotel is hard to access from the main road. The road is poorly paved and full of holes. However, accessing any hotels along this beach will have to go through the same road. The room we stayed has bare minimum amenities and looks tired out. The breakfast started at 8.00 AM which is unusual for the hotel standard and quite late for activities. The host told us they usually prepare box of sandwiches for people with snorkeling program upon early request. However, the information about breakfast was never notified anywhere. The hosts tried their best to assist with what we needed; however, the overall quality was much below what we expected from a hotel this price.
