      My hotel experience”

the foods and the different amenities

The Lotus Garden Hotel is situated in the center of Palawan and offers a warm, pleasant atmosphere complete with facilities to make every guest’s stay enjoyable. It is accessible to nearby restaurants that provide good food to vacationing guests. The hotel offered different amenities that include non-smoking rooms, wireless internet access, air conditioning, and the daily newspaper. The rooms provided were big however they were not that clean. The staff in general, were very pleasant and gracious to all their guests. All in all, the hotel provides a warm and welcoming service of international standard to vacationing guests.

      quality service and relaxing atmosphere”

great service, home feeling, delicious Asian cuisine

Our stay at The Lotus Garden Hotel was very nice. There was always a smiling face to greet us when we walked into the garden and throughout our stay. We stayed there 2 different times during our trip to Palawan and it was the same staff there the whole time. You can also see the kitchen from the fine dining restaurant and the cooks prepare fabulous Asian cuisine. Both of these qualities add to the home-feeling that you get when staying at this hotel. However, there were 3 discomforts about the hotel - the "hot" water was not always hot in the shower but often scolding in the faucet; there was only one sheet for an aircon room which you could not adjust, leaving us very cold at night; and the wifi connection was very poor.

      Short Stay”

      Location, Friendly, accomadating

The short stay was pleasant for the price paid. The ambiance was relaxing as it stuck well to it's Japanese Garden theme. The staff were very, very pleasant and helpful. They tended to our needs ASAP. Our room was supposed to be the suite, however, there were some issues with the water. No problem with us. We were then showed a different room-the Garden view room. A bit confused of where the bathroom/shower was-it was outside in the mini garden. Quite impressed and it definitely sold us. I mean who wouldn't wanna shower outdoors in the buff with nature. They even provided some citronella for those pesty mosquitoes. You may have some other visitors while out there (lizards and frogs), but don't be afraid they're just helping out with the mosquitoes ;) But I did have some qualms about the room. The room was a bit dated, didn't bother us. Not enough outlets-made it work. My biggest issue-Sheets were stained & AC unit was weak. But, We asked for a fan and didn't make a big fuss-we were out of the room most of the time. Wifi only available in lobby. No safe in the room. The hotel grounds is beautiful for what and where it is, some minor up-keeing is needed on the ponds. BUT, Stay at the Lotus Garden Hotel if you aren't the type to freak out about everything. All in all great stay. Pros: -close to airport -close to restaurants and establishments (50peso tricycle ride just about everywhere) -Friendly staff -free breakfast -Relatively safe area Cons: -Weak AC -dirty sheets -wifi in outdoor lobby

Beautifully Lush Garden setting in the City”

Relaxing waterfalls in the garden, big comfy rooms

We were only going to stay in Puerto Princesa one night, then travel to El Nido .. but we really enjoyed our stay at Lotus Garden because of the big bed, the cozy room, and the beauty of the garden when we woke up the next morning. We were just sitting there in the little foyer area having coffee early, and we were just struck by the waterfalls and the Koi fish swimming in the pond .. so we decided to extend. My wife and I found this hotel to be very comfortable. The service was ok, not great, but just right. They left us alone and were attentive enough, which is what we needed. I loved this place because we realized we were really on vacation to enjoy! Thanks Lotus!

Wonderful vacation spot at the heart of P Princesa”

Beautiful quaint resort with Asian fusion decor

We were welcomed with complimentary drinks by a smiling staff member, then led to our tastefully-decorated room, which was furnished with two queen-sized beds spaced well apart from each other as the room was quite large. The closet space was more than adequate for our bags and gear. Our TV had an SD card slot so we could view our photos in HD, which was a treat. The bathroom was spacious and clean, as was the rest of the room. Free WiFi access at the restaurant and at the guest lounge. And when I asked to borrow a plastic basin so I could wash my sneakers (which had gotten quite muddy), my request was readily granted by another smiling staff member. Kudos to the owners of the Lotus Garden -- they really know how to treat their guests right.

Few minute walk from the airport, garden right in my bathroom.

i was amazed by the beautiful tree house in the garden of the hotel. it brings me back memories of my childhood. nobody had mentioned about this feature. my room was excellent when weighed against the amount i paid. it made me give more tips to the housekeeper. the lotus pond is so beautiful and i love the morning when they are in full bloom. i did not expect that the lotus garden is literally a lotus garden.

      Location, Staff, Ambiance

There were a lot of Negative reviews about Lotus Garden but i am easy to please so i really do not give negative reviews easily. The staff of Lotus Garden were friendly. The room we got was big and it had an outdoor bathroom. There are obvious signs of wear and tear but it did not really matter. I really liked how the hotel looked like. It had an exotic design which i really liked.

The gardens/grounds, the hotel restaurant, conveniently located

We had a brief stay but it was a nice little oasis in the small town of Puerto Princesa. The grounds at Lotus Hotel are really quite beautiful and zen like. The restaurant was quite good (but make sure you try the top rated seafood restaurant in town just next door!). Bed was comfortable, the bathroom is actually outside but it's quite a romantic set up.

Very nice gardens, friendly staff, close to the airport

The gardens and the room are very beautiful. We chose the hotel because of the outside bathroom and it was really fun. They don't have shuttle to the airport, which is actually 10 min away by walk, but they can assist with the tricycle. Some guests complain about the mosquitoes, but this is due to the Philippines climate, not the hotel management. The prices are actually a little bit higher than in other restaurants/hotels in the town.

      Good location”

      Friendliness of staff

the lotus garden hotel is located at about a 3 minutes tricycle ride from the airport. it is a very simple but clean hotel and i was lucky enough to get the room in the hut in the garden. amazing for such a simple hotel is the big plasma tv in the room. the rainforest shower is very pleasant. when i arrived the warm water did not work, i asked the staff and within 5 minutes two young men came to fix it, it turned out that the indication of hot and cold had to be turned around, after which everything worked fine. the only point of improvement is the breakfast. you get two slices of toast, egg, a spoon full of marmelade, 4 pieces of fruits and a cup of tea. around the hotel there are some nice restaurants and the hotel itself serves a dinner buffet for which is absolutely worthwhile eating.

The best hotel in my trip”

Good location, nice view inside hotel, bath room is a highlight

It's just walking distance to almost all the best restaurants in Pureto Princesa. The inside of hotel is japanese style which make me feel a perfect combination from the culture of Japan and Philippines, my wife and I like the room very much. Bath room is definitely a highlight, a half-open shower room make us feel like having shower in wild, which is pretty incrediable experience.

one of the best budget hotels in the Philippines”

location, garden and restaurant, room size

This place is definitely one of the best budget hotels we stayed in the Philippines. The design of the garden and restaurant give it special atmosphere. Suite rooms are super cool, with high sealing and outside bathroom. We had no problems with mosquitos as soon as we put the aircon on and the room got cooler. Maybe it needs a bit of clean up, as there was a bit of dust here and there, but overall clean sheets and towels. Highly recommended!

Eclectic hotel with a good restaurant”

nice rooms, great bed, interesting outdoor cr, great restaurant

enjoyed staying at the lotus garden and would do so again. be advised that the hotel seems to be more of a secondary function of their primary business which is the restaurant. having said that, the staff was friendly and helpful - although they forgot to book one of the tours we wanted to take. on discovery of that error, they went out of their way to rectify the situation.

Nice traditional hotel. Good location near airport”

Very nice hotel, God atmosphere, excellent food, very friendly
      None really,

My stay here was very good, Good friendly staff very helpful. I was able to book the tours through them. Rates were very reasonable. Food was excellent, buffet and the menu all very well prepared and cooked to perfection. My first 2 night were spent in a smaller room they then moved me to a larger room which was really too big for me but very nice. Would have liked the water to be hotter but was not a problem. The gardens are very nice. Good place for a romantic getaway.
