Over The Moon”
The Karoo Moon Motel is simultaneously quirky and upmarket with its exotic blend of memorabilia and high end finishes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Dean was extremely helpful with check in and providing guidance of where to eat and what to do in Barrydale and the immediate surrounds. The Motel is spacious, luxurious and extremely comfortable whilst providing a truly fun and interesting space for the intrepid Route 62 traveller. A truly 5 star stay!!!

If you are looking for character in accomodation, this is it. Old building, decorated very eclecticly and keeping in the spirit of Diesel and Cream next door. Accomodation is large and comfortable and higly recommended!

Quirky special little gem of a motel”
I loved the Karoo Moon Motel! It is beautiful and the thought that has gone into the décor is amazing The motel is like a three bedroom house - a really special one. We had the place to ourselves as we had booked two rooms. Lovely comfy beds and bedding too! This motel is right next to the AMAZING Diesel & Cream. Barrydale itself is an extraordinary little town and worth the stop. I would absolutely recommend this motel and had a fantastic stay - friendly staff too. Thank you Karoo Moon we had a wonderful stay.

Rustic Charm”
Very charming place to stay with that retro rustic feel. Rooms are cosy and well decorated. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open the evening we checked in but have heard from locals it is good. Great place to get a unique rest along route 62
