Do not be deceived with the age of this hotel. It is a comfortable and extremely clean place with very friendly staff. The location is very strategic for shopping, eating, sight seeing and with a wonderful night and Sunday market in front of their doorstep. Highly recommended to local or foreign tourists!

Cosy English Style Building Hotel”
I fell in love with this hotel when I first saw the photos in Agoda website. The building and decor in the room brought me to England. The hotel is so conveniently located ; surrounded by nice food eateries, with pasar malam on Fridays & Saturdays and pasar pagi on Sundays. The big shopping centres are also just walking distance from Jesselton Hotel. I hope to stay in this hotel again for my holidays!

I would definitely stay in Jesselton Hotel again. Small boutique hotel, that is convenient and accessible to all the eateries, shops and mall. Very strategic place. Even though it was abit old, but well maintained and staffs are experience and good service.

Lovely hotel in fantastic location”
This hotel is located in very convenient to everywhere in downtown Kota Kinabalu. There are many local restaurants and small shops on Gaya Street and ferry terminal is also in walking distance. Government Tourism Agency is on a next block and staffs there give you good travel tips such as local restaurants not in the brochure. Hotel staffs are all nice & friendly. Hair dryer and tooth brush are not available in the room, but other than that everything is great. If you are looking for a cozy hotel in down town, I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Pleasant experience ”
The hotel is old but well kept. The room size is adequate. The staff is really helpful. The only downside was that while we stayed at the hotel, the hotel restaurant was under renovation, so there were no hot meal options for breakfast. The staff arranged for sandwiches and fruits to be delivered to the room but it would have been better if we knew about this at the point of booking. Other than this, we had a pleasant stay.

Love the cozy room. Love the location. Appreciate the very helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Only issue has been regulating the hang of it. Also, sometimes internet is down, but this may be fault of city's server & not the hotel.

Clean hotel in a good location”
Large newly renovated rooms and a nice bathroom. THe hotel is on gaya street which has the evening market, the Sunday market and lots of very good cheap local restaurants. The checkout was 24/7 which was useful. No complaints - good value compare to other hotels.
