Stayed for 3 nights. Excellent hotel and art gallery! ”

I really like the idea of a hotel with an actual art gallery. The Hulo Hotel & Gallery has some of the most beautiful paintings and art concept hotel in town. Been to KL every now and then but this hotel stood out for me. From the cleanliness, the location and the facilities. I had 2 bookings so I got to stay in two different room type. Each room is unique. I am happy with all these but... There is one downside. I was checking out at 5am on 3rd June 2018. The receptionist guy didn't even have the courtesy to say a word let alone to smile and he just simply returned my deposit. A simple 'thank you' would do. As a guest, I feel that there is lack of courtesy towards guests.

Hulo Hotel is the best hotel in bukit bintang area. The location was strategic. The price is also affordable. The most important is the room is super duper cool with arts. Hulo hotel is recommended to people who loves arts

My cup of tea. Recommend!”

Recommend for someone who’s looking for a “not-your-average” and artistic kind of room. The staffs were very friendly. The only problem was the hotel doesn’t have a parking lot. You’d have to park in front of the hotel until 9 am, and parking spots were very limited. There was a private parking lot a few steps away though. However, the attendant was rude. We were charged RM12 per night. Nevertheless, The Hulo Hotel & Gallery is my cup of tea. Recommend!

Trust Yourself”

Last weekend, I was going Vivatel Hotel to attend an event, so I decided to stay at Hulo Hotel for two nights and it's my first time been there. Before I book the hotel, I've been browsing all the comments and review about Hulo Hotel. Yet, those comments kinda makes me hesitate a lot for the booking. Despite of many "negative" comments and reviews, I still decided to give it a shot, only gives the comment after. I'm glad that Hulo Hotel doesn't ruin my weekend. Here's some pros and cons about the hotel : Pros: 1. the services are good as the first day my event finished at 1030pm, when the time I arrived the hotel it's about 11pm++ already. But I still managed to have a smooth check-in. 2. The interior design looks exactly like the photos in agoda, and it's clean enough and the bed is very comfortable. 3. Love the atmosphere of the hotel So Much!! 3. The Cons: 1. There's a car park 100m away from the hotel. Yet, the charges is a bit higher. It's RM12 / day.

suitable for backpacker and traveler”

just stay for 3 days and unfortunately I left my pendrive in my room after check out, I noticed it when already arrived Ipoh. I informed the staff but nearly 2 weeks didn't hear any news yet. for the room, very tidy and comfortable ( Just a little bit small ) The toilet can't be locked. free breakfast for my package but I didn't go ( because I wake a little bit late ) so I can't commend the food. Reservations counter staff was very friendly and polite plus at the counter u will se a lot of artworks, if u ade the one who loved arts then u can enjoy it first before back to your room. There are also some drawing arts along the staircase. I suggested that back to your room use "lif" then when u going out use the staircase and enjoy those arts. Warning: no not use your hand to touch the art. If you do so that means u didn't respect the art plus dirty on your hand also could destroy the art. Please respect it. Cost for a drawing wasn't RM 1 yea. So here is my review for Hulo Hotel. Enjoy your trips. cheers Hulo Hotel staff

Very comfortable room”

At the first day we stay here at Hulo we feels comfortable and happy, then we stay almost a week there. The design of the hotel and rooms are very different, the staff also very helpful. Very recommended hotel for staying in Kuala Lumpur.

Good ambience, strategic location, friendly staffs ”

The location of the hotel is good, it is about 15-20 minutes walk to Bukit Bintang area and Grab is easily accessible. The hotel lobby itself it a art gallery, there is a different theme for each of the room (interesting), water dispenser available, staffs are very friendly! Definitely will come back again

The Gallery Awesome”

The room very clean and comfort. The staff very nice, friendly and helpfull. Walking distance to bukit bintang about 15 minute, and 10 minute to Imbi Monorail station. I do really like the hotel design and the gallery.

I stayed here for 2 nights on 3rd October 2018. Its not your usual run of the mill hotel. Its a nice artistic hotel + gallery with art pieces - paintings, sculptures(even toys) - everywhere! In the lobby, along the room corridor, staircase, even in your room! The lift - like stepping into a (night) club! The room - painted in dark colors. Very modern. But no fridge or cupboard. Only 2 hangers and wall hooks to hang your stuff. A kettle and coffee powder packet. The beds in the room are those Japanese style, mattress placed on a raised platform. This I found very uncomfortable as if you want to sit and do some packing or eating, you gotta sit on the mattress which is on the raised platform. If you are a senior citizen, or suffer from back pain or knee pain then this is gonna be a problem for you. Sad to say, the breakfast is sad. More of the layout of the budget breakfast items - the foldable tables, the plastic washbucket to place used plastic utensils there, the plastic bag with...

Cant wait to stay again!”

From the moment I walked in the door and I was met with the aroma of fresh roses to the time I left and the doorman put my bag in my Uber everything about my stay at the Hulo was magical. 4 floors of well crafted art with a wide variety of statues, mannicans, fixtures, ornaments, and paintings were around every corner and as an art lover I felt like a kid in a candy store. I highly recommend this place to solo, groups or couples but I don't know that a family of more than 2 or 3 would be comfortable here since the beds are a bit awkward. All in all, this hotel will be seeing me again!

from the receptionist up to the room and all the facilities, it was more than expectations. the room had a very uniqie style with all things you will require during your staying. location was near to Bukit Bintang, you can walk or get a grabcar with price of RM5 to go for example to Pavilion. definitely will stay there again!

Great Location, Beautiful Hotel, and Flexible Staff”

The hotel is within walking distance from Berjaya Times Square and Bukit Bintang. The hotel is beautiful as it functions as an art gallery at the same time. Staff was flexible and helpful. Was allowed to pay the tourist fee at night as we did not have available MYR yet during check in.

Stayed a few times”

Was very happy to found this boutique hotel and stayed a few times here on our trip to Kuala Lumpur. However, the last trip just disappoint me with small cockroaches everywhere when we first open the room door. Wish the management will look into this and get the pest control to fix this problem. Will give another try and hopefully it doesn't happen again.

AWESOME and beautiful ”

Lovely and super friendly customer service! Hotel is absolutely beautiful, it's like an art gallery from the lobby to the room! I loved the mattress on the floor. It was so comfortable and cozy. It brought back childhood memories of sleep overs and camping (when you usually sleep on a mattress on the ground). Negative points: I stayed in room 202 and I could hear the cars on the street and also I could tell the previous guest had smoked in my room. Next time I'll ask for a room that's not facing highway.

services of the staffs was standard and marvelous with friendly and helpful! i love this hotel with full of art and decor was nice. For sure this will be one of my list to stay when looking forward to have another stay with HULO. Keep it up the standard and i will definitely recommend to my friends and family

almost perfect”

nice rooms with all kinds of paintings. in fact its like an art gallery with nice paintings on every floor. i even walked the other floors just to look at them. staff was very helpful and carried my bag up for me. only reason its not a perfect rating is the listing incorrectly states laundry service. they offer none. but their is a 24 hour coin op do it yourself laundry 2 blocks away. also 50 ringgit cash deposit that wasnt mentioned so make sure you hit the atm BEFORE you come here. also window is small size. but id come back. nice place. love the artwork . feels more like my bedroom then a hotel.

I was amazed by the view in their loby. So many art work that been hang up at the hotel and you can take a picture of them. (So instagram-worthy :b) i like the room, not quite big but not really small, just nice for me and my partner. Room decoration just simple and nice and i think those traveller out there should try this hotel out. The location also strategic because near with LRT station and Times Square Shopping Centre. Definitely gonna come here again. Thank you Hulo Hotel!!! 💓

Great Unique Gem”

Hulo not only has a great location, helpful staff and on-point services, it's an artful gem, unique unto itself. It has a great ambience. Being somewhat associated with arts, I connected immediately. Highly recommended!

Good stay”

A very nice and cozy place to stay at. Interior and the gallery itself is perfect and nice. Room was really cool and i like how its like korean like room where the bed is on the floor. It was just nice for my 1 week stay. Except one downer. Everything works well. Only that we do not have a refrigerator in the room. That was quite a disappointment as we have chilled drinks but nowhere to keep it. Other than that, everything was good. Place wise, convienient, walk to berjaya times square less than 10mins. Nearby 24 hrs indian restaurant. Great to have supper. Nearby minimart to get snacks etc. Recommended!
