New campbell, new experience”

I accompanied my husband when he attended a meeting at the Grand Campbell Hotel. As we bring our four months old baby, he decided to checked in at the hotel for the weekend for our convinience. Frankly speaking, at first I dont even know the existence of this hotel. We arrived late afternoon and we parked at level 4, in front of Dewan Bunga Raya. The parking are spacy however look a bit archaic. So does the hallway to the hotel lift. I must confess that I am quite particular when it comes to hotel room, moreover as we have a small baby. However I was supprised to see our room. It was really nice and beautiful. Cooled by air-condition. Flat screen tv are a standard in the rooms. Comfy bed, nice and clean toilet. Nice interior. The hotel is within a walking distance to nearest shopping mall. 5 minutes to SOGO, 10 minutes to the LRT and very near to other location. The hotel has it own cafe but we decided to have our dinner nearby as it is very easy and convinient. Thus, I would say that I will definitely come again and again next time. Very nice and comfortable, superfriendly and helpful staff, near to places. Just work on the parking and the hallway. This place is delightful. Over all, it was a very nice and delightful stay.

Shopping spree at city centre, relax at campbel.l”

I am enjoy my staying at The Grand Campbell Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Their location is very attractive to me and my family because it very easy to reach around the popular place like sogo, parkson, muaz and the other textile shop around jalan tuanku abdul rahman and jalan masjid india. I also have no problem with transport because it easy to get transport from the hotel like lrt, monorel, bus and taxi.

Great location, value for money, located inside Campbell Complex”

The hotel is located inside the Campbell Complex. To enter this hotel, it is recommended to use the main entrance where you can find the lobby. When I first arrived at the hotel, there was a night market (pasar malam) located very close to the hotel. I entered the hotel through another door (next to the grand entrance) and found it is quite difficult to find the main lobby due to lack of signboards. It should be noted that the hotel is located at the same building with a shopping complex. Once checked in at the lobby, one must go walk a little bit and passed some shops to get into the hotel elevator. The room size and facilities is adequate, nothing fancy but worth what you have paid. The breakfast is simple, with menu such as nasi lemak, kueyteow goreng, soup noodles, cereals and toast. However, the taste can be improved. One thing I dislike about this hotel is the coffee served at the breakfast is just instant coffee, and not filter coffee. In terms of location, it is very close to Sogo and Jalan TAR. You just have to cross the road to get into SOGO main entrance. Other than that, I am satisfied with the service and definitely will consider to stay here again.

Strange feelings”

I booked 2 types of room in this hotel. And i have very different feelings. Superior and Deluxe rooms are completely different. I had great staying in Deluxe room and awful in Superior room. Deluxe - clean, spacious, everything working, safe ready to use, slippers, soap, shampoo, teeth cleaning kits, shower caps, water....and Superior - nothing of mentioned above, also broken fan, no bath cleaning liquids, no remote control, some sockets broken, Not cleaned room, even food from previous guests inside the fridge, dirty walls Was it s the same hotel or i just stayed in 2 different hotels? Well, I really recommend to stay in Grand Campbell Hotel Delux room and I never recommend to stay at Grand Campbell Hotel Superior room. Moreover it s just minor difference in nightly rates Also i had very strange experience. At the beginning i booked 2 nights at Deluxe Room. Then I extend my staying for next day. And when I came to reception to extend and prove my staying , they told me that I must check out before 12-00am and then wait till 3 pm to check in again. So after staying 2 days there i spend 3 hours at lobby to check in again for 3d day. Maybe they are right to obey such strict rules but it s inconvenient and annoying. I never was in hotel which pressure me to stay in a lobby between my booked days. All of them try to make the best to check in as soon as possible. In Grand campbell hotel be advissed not to come before 3pm. and even if you extend - check out from 12 and be out till 3 pm. So in general the hotel and location are good but avoid Superior room and never extend your staying on internet.

Clean room, great location, good value”

The good: I love Grand Campbell Hotel because of its location. I can check in and then walk straight into Jln TAR, Sogo or Pertama Complex to shop. Room is clean, sheets are clean, comfy bed and pillows, bathroom is clean. There is a 7Eleven which is super convenient. The not so good: The hotel used to offer free parking for guests but from March onwards they started to charge RM5/entry (normal rate RM10/entry). It's fine but would be great to have free parking.

Superb”

This is our second stay with The Grand Campbell Hotel Kuala Lumpur. We had a super bad experience when the first time we were there as we were assigned to a different room but this time round all went smoothly and the Executive room are very spacious, luminous, well decorated, and are very comfortable. Very accessible and convenient. I would definitely come back to stay again.

Great location, especially if you like shopping”

I arrived in the area around 11PM and to my horror, my cab driver and I could not see the entrance so he wasn't sure where to drop me off. Lucky for me he was kind enough to park the cab and asked people in 7E Dang Wangi for directions. We soon learned that the hotel entrance is actually INSIDE Campbell Complex and walking towards it alone late at night was quite scary - the passageway was poorly lit and I felt unsafe. What I loved: 1) Hotel location - walking distance to shopping areas, malls, eateries as well as street food. Campbell Complex (the building where the hotel is in) has quite a number of shops too but had nothing that interest me much. 2) 24-hours convenience store next to one of the exits. 3) Room was quite spacious, uses a key card and clean enough. 4) Free WiFi available 5) The price was very reasonable, considering the size of the room and the facilities available in it What could be improved: 1) The food at breakfast - you could get better food outside the hotel. Until the quality and variety is improved, you might want to opt for a room WITHOUT breakfast (which is cheaper). There isn't much space in the dining area during my stay either - according to the reception staff this is due to the hotel undergoing renovations. 2) It would be nice if there are signs clearly visible from the main road to show the way to the hotel entrance. 3) The reception staff who checked me in forgot to return my IC after photocopying it and being extremely exhausted, I did not realize it until the next morning. I asked reception about it straight away and found that they've put it inside an envelope along with my deposit, which in my opinion, is not a very wise thing to do. If I had not remembered about it I would only get my IC back upon checkout. They should have knocked my door straight away that night and return it to me as the IC is a very important document to have on me as I travel around KL.

Comfortable room & friendly staff”

During my stay at The Grand Campbell Hotel, I had a lovely time. The staff were really friendly. Rooms are comfortable and the food was great! The location is near shopping mall, food stalls and perfect for friends/family to hang out or shop. I would totally recommend this hotel to my friends and family members. Fantastic hotel, it was really worth it.

Awesome Hotel!”

My stay at The Grand Campbell Hotel was fantastic! Everyone was so incredibly friendly. My room key didn't work when I first got there and housekeeping (who were off duty) helped me get into my room. The women at the front desk were so friendly, always smiling and polite. I will definitely stay there again when I go back to KL.

One Of The Best 3 Star Hotel.”

The complex itself is renovating and the hotel lobby is inside. The complex should be completed soon and the hotel lobby will be at the front. Staff were very friendly and they know places around Kuala Lumpur for tourists. Like how much time it takes to get there. Room is comfortable and cleanliness is good. Value for money. WIFI is 7/10. Happy that I booked this hotel. Recommended.

The staff was helpful, friendly & nice. The food was nice as well. The room is not big somehow its rather comfortable for me. It was all clean & i am really satisfied with The Grand Campbell. Thank you for the service & the staff did a very good job in maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel.

Cleanliness scored 4.5 out of 5 due to some part of bathroom sink area (tiles & mirror) still had brushing teeth stain from previous guests. Facilities scored 4 out of 5 because for the two nights we checked in, we had to request bathroom towels due to unforeseen reason which caused us inconveniences especially for those staying with children. Also, they did not provide mat or small towel usually placed outside the bathroom. Other than that, everything else was great and for us this hotel scores the highest so far from all the hotels we have stayed in KL mainly to its location category. This hotel is inside the Campbell Complex itself. Sogo Shopping Mall, Bandaraya rail station, Starbucks Coffee, weekend bazaar, countless textiles shops, Indian restaurants, 7-eleven mart, all are nearby..

Surprisingly nice Hotel”

This was my first time staying at The Grand Campbell Hotel and I am not disappointed a bit. The staff was very friendly and the Hotel condition was also very good. I was on 16th Floor and my room was very good. Overall Hotel was in good condition. The breakfast can be better but I am not complaining as I missed breakfast for 2 days as I slept bit more :) I would recommend this hotel for value for the money.

I've read lots of negative reviews about the car park being far away & hard to find the way to the lobby but I found that the way to the lobby was straight forward and it wasn't far at all. Once you get the parking ticket stamped at the lobby, your parking is free throughout your stay. I stayed in an executive room on the top 19th floor with my wife and young children. What was great about the executive room was that it had an extra couch that would turn into a bed besides the double bed which gave us a comfortable sleep. The room was very clean, could see the Petronas twin towers from the room and the overall experience was great. I will definitely come back. Walk-in price is RM325 so you save 2/3 by booking through Agoda. Breakfast was ok. It's not the cheap bread and coffee type breakfast you get in budget hotels. They have a few different food to choose from. For the extra price you pay for breakfast, it's definitely worth it. The only reason I gave 2 stars for facilities is because I had no internet in the room, fridge was pretty much the same as the room temperature, and the hair dryer was broken. It seems like they don't do a lot of repairs on broken facilities. But I will still come back. The hotel room is clean and spacious. For a family with young children, or a group of 3 adults, I believe this is the best bang-for-buck room will get in KL.

My 2nd Stay”

This is my 2nd time stay with this hotel. This time I bring my family which is my brother, father & mother. To tell all of you my mother is a fussy for her stay at any hotel but this time her agreed with selection of this hotel. All same with my first review this hotel is comfortable clean all equipment functioning. Staff are friendly. The most important near to Jalan TAR where I need to buy clothes for my business. For the 2nd time I found something new which is for good is coffee and tea supplied in the room was delicious. For bad and need to improve by the hotel management is the use of iron which is is not very convenient for hotel guests. Hotel provided the room for ironing clothes but its requires you to carry the electric card for the use of electricity in the ironing room. The problem is, the electric card provided one pieces per room and when its unplugged for usage at iron room so ?? what happens to those who are in the room ?? Just think. I had to carry my own ironing and board to my room then returned it back to the ironing room. Other else is same and I satisfied with my stay. That is my personnel opinion for this hotel. Thank you.

One more extra night”

One night seems not enough for us to fully experience the grand campbell hotel. Thats why without any hesitant, we extend our stay to one more day. Same great experience all I can say!

The best place to stay”

The hotel is located at one of the busiet shopping areas in Kuala Lumpur. Shopping arcades are just at the hotel door step. LRT station is only a minute walk away & restaurants are aplenty near this hotel. The hotel room is big & clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly
