We want a short vacation where: • We want to go shopping (at least for my missus) • Everything is just nearby • No hassle getting around • Nice accommodation • Air-conditioned comfort everywhere • Somewhere we been too many times to care what’s going on outside The answer: Mid-Valley Megamall and the St. Giles The Gardens Hotel and Residences This vacation is during the 1 week March school holidays. We booked a two-bedroom unit for us and another family (my wife’s sister). This time, we took a Malaysian Airlines flight from Singapore to KLIA. We then proceed to take the KLIA Express to KL Sentral. From there we took a KTM Kommuter train down to Mid-Valley station (it is just 1 station away). Total journey was ok even though we do get confused by the lack of proper signage at KL Sentral. There are actually 2 malls in Mid-Valley – the main mall where ‘normal’ stuff is sold and the Gardens Mall: an upmarket mall. When you reach the area where there are branded items and the crowd suddenly thins out…you know you’re in the Gardens mall. Mid – Valley Megamall has 3 hotels connected directly to it (as far as I know as I have stayed in all 3). The Cititel – a budget, training hotel; the Boulevard- a business hotel and The Gardens, their premier hotel. The Gardens hotel is easy enough to find, even though there are two lobby, one for the hotel and another for the Residences. It was walking in familiar surroundings. In fact, I think it’s the 3rd time we’ve been here. Probably 6th or 7th time we’ve stayed in Mid Valley. We arrived around 5pm at the Residence lobby. Checking-in was easy and very quick. There was no fuss. Only thing was there was no porter to bring our luggage. No big issue. No tips then! The room itself was nice. It has a master bedroom with a King bed and en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and wc A second bedroom with 2 super-single bed with an en-suite bathroom and a rainwater shower. My 2nd visit to The Gardens - A St Giles Signature Hotel & Residences. Because we love here so much so decided to come back. But something has changed... Room 1620 is good, but aircond is a bit warm (I set the temperature below 10°C already). The room setting is different a lot of furniture is missing. The receptionist Mr Muhammad is vry helpful and vry friendly, the other receptionists are like poker face... not vry friendly... but still effecient in service. Mayb should hire more receptionist because the Q for check in and out is quite long. Bellboys and housekeepers are helpful and hospitality too, they always deliver their best service with a courtesy smile on their face.

Yes 19-20Dis KL still under CMCO, I am confident with The Garden - St Giles Signature Hotel safety and cleanliness and they already sanitise our room before we touch the key. Disember is rainy day you have to plan timing for pool session. Best part pool limit for 5 person / session. So no crowded. The gym is fully equipped you should try too. Breakfast was excellent, they professionally set the idea of using glove for hygiene purposed. Car park no worries thousands at zone B purple. Overall yes I am satisfied and recommend you guyz to stay here

club rooms well worth the extra”

we had a great time in kuala lumpur staying at the gardens. i'ts so close to everything you could want.there are endless shops in the mid valley mall adjoining the hotel and a huge range of eating places downstairs in the mall which caters to extra cheap to not so cheap. there is also a supermarket in the downstairs area. the club rooms are very spacious with beautiful marble bathrooms. in the price you also get breakfast and canapes between 5pm and 7pm as well as drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic, coffee and biscuits all day, free internet and 3 items of laundry per day, well worth the small amount extra per day.

Good for families”

stayed 2 nights, this time around stayed in 2 bedroom apartment in Residence block. travelling as family of 5. Very convenient to get meals and amenities as it's attaches to Gardens mall and midvalley. no parking of its own, but do park at gardens mall, towards South tower end/ near Sage Restaurant. may I suggest that the Residence block or entry is labelled via the parking block itself, and directions given, same with the hotel block too, so that it avoids travellers who drive there from the Gardens Mall parking, needing to lug their luggage for long distances. Can park for awhile at the lobby... but when we came there cars parked from near the hotel block.. block out path to drive in to the lobby.. so we had to bypass and go swing over to the Gardens Mall parking entrance on the other side. the Residence lobby usually staffed by only one personnel.. at times there's a bit of delay in registering. room is clean and spacious.. carpets do start to look a bit outdated design. Will still come back if I need to return for work or any other reason around PJ or Bangsar area.. but maybe needs some new improvements as there's many new hotels and residences coming up in the area

Travelling w kids require a lot of rest, thus having to stay at St Giles made it easy, we can just go back to our hotel when kids are restless. The hotel is just adjacent to the mid valley shopping malls which made it an excellent hotel,Facilities were great. We stayed at the apartment, so its so spacious for us with 2 kids. They enjoyed it and we had our good spread of breakfast at the hotel. The staffs were all very accommodating and helpful. Thank you St Giles for the wonderful experience. Will definitely stay here again

Great hotel and wonderful location”

We've stayed at The Gardens Hotel and Residences on multiple occassions and always keep coming back. The location at Mid Valley is good if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. I'm not saying that it's not crowded but at least you don't get stuck in human and vehicular traffic like in downtown KL. The Gardens and Mid Valley also offers 2 huge shopping centers that has a good selection of shopping and dining outlets. You will never run out of things to eat when you're there! Our favorite being Tony Romas which has the best beef ribs! There are also plenty of local food to choose from and plenty of cafes for you to sit down and enjoy an afternoon tea/coffee. You can also enjoy the movies at the GV Signature and sing to your hearts content at the KTV. The hotel has a very nice swimming pool, a huge gymnasium and meeting facilities. I would recommend it to families and anyone who loves shopping, food and a short getaway.

Connected to The Gardens Mall, the Hotel is linked to a shopping haven featuring key tenants and premier brands such as Robinsons, Isetan, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Kate Spade, Braun Buffel, Massimo Dutti and located in between two premium office blocks i.e.The Gardens North & South Towers. Undoubtedly, Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur is one of the most compelling leisure, hospitality, retail and office destinations in South East Asia.

Excellent Location and Great Customer Service”

This is my first stay at the St Giles The Gardens Residences. I usually stay at the St Giles The Gardens Hotel. I always stay here when in KL as it's connected to the midvalley megamall which has a lot of shopping and eating options. This time as I came in a group of 5 people we took the 2-bedroom in the Residences, and ordered an extra bed. It was prefect for the group as the living/dining/kitchen/balcony areas were a good place to sit together and chit chat/watch tv before bedtime. The only down-side is that the room/bathrooms looked very dated. I hope it's refurbished to look more like the Hotel wing soon. The view from the balcony was amazing (we had the 32nd floor) which you don't get to enjoy when you're in the Hotel wing as there's no balcony there. Also noteworthy is the excellent customer service provided by all the staff - reception/ bellboy/ concierge/ valet/ room service. I'll definitely consider this room option the next time I'm back in KL in a group.

Gardens Hotel, Mid Valley”

This is our second time staying in Gardens Hotel Mid Valley. For anyone who want to be close to a shopping malll and good restaurants or food court, this is the hotel to choose. The standard deluxe room is relatively big compared to other hotels in the city. If you like spacious bathroom/toilet, this is the hotel to choose from. Has a separate area for shower, no need to stand in a bath tub like most hotels. Has LCD tv, safe, daily complimetary bottles of water, hair dryer and electric kettle. Since we ate outside of the hotel, we are unable to comment on the hotel restaurants. This time round we did not call for room service as during our 1st stay in this hotel almost a year ago, the room service was below par. We will definitely stay again in this hotel whenever we are back in Kuala Lumpur. Highly recommended and value for money.

It is a nice experience to stay in Garden Hotel..The room is nice and clean.. I like to toilet concept too.. The hotel is attached to Mid-valley shopping mall, one of the most popular shopping center in Kuala Lumpur.. Very convenient to do shopping and resting at the sametime.. There is a nearby KTM komuter center where u can take train to KL Sentral and further excess to other areas of Kuala Lumpur..

A nice stay at a reasonable rate”

We really liked our stay at this hotel. We booked a one bedroom serviced apartment at the Gardens Residence. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The furniture as well as the bathroom are in good condition. The room comes with a kitchen and a small balcony. The staff was very helpful and friendly. On our last day we got a late check-out at 3pm without extra charge. The Mid Valley Mall next door comes with lots of shops and restaurants. If you want to go shopping during your stay you don't need to go anywhere else. Bangsar with its nice restaurants and bars is also close by. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Good hotel location with access to shopping”

We stayed at Gardens Hotel & Residences for a night in the Executive Premier room. Very nice corner room with parquet flooring, very spacious. The hotel is just next to the Mid Valley shopping mall and is very convenient. I could even buy mineral water at the local store nearby at 11.30pm. The hotel gym is spacious and clean. It was a good decision to stay here if you are not planning to the central part of KL. The shops at Mid Valley are varied and reasonably priced. There is plenty of choices for foods from restaurants to cheap local dishes.

Pleasant Stay”

Overall, I have no complains. It's our first time staying in St Giles. We're frequent visitors to Kuala Lumpur and this is one of our best stay so far. Came back from my birthday lunch and saw a cake and 2 birthday cards on the table. A very great gesture from the staff of St Giles and I'm very touch. Will definitely recommend family and friends to stay in St Giles and we will also be back soon.

First I need to say that I messed up with my booking and both Agoda and The Gardens were fair and credited me for a lost night which was totally my fault. OK so congrats to agoda and the hotel and on with the review. It's a very modern high efficiency hotel with a door directly onto one of the biggest shopping paradises in the world! So if you are going to a conference take your partner of either sex and they'll not be bored. Unfortunately the monorail I spotted on the map is impossible to walk to as there is a motorway in the way so it's a longer walk to the light railway and run into Sentral or sit in the awful traffic in a cab. But if you want to be in Mid Valley then this is the best hotel there. Large trendy yet comfortable rooms with great AV set up and trendy glass-fronted wet room for those of you who like that sort of thing! I got free internet which was nice as it was mega quick but if it's not included in your package then buy a Digi data card and hook your smart phone up to your laptop. It's 2MYR a day unlimited. The pool area outside on the 5th or 6th floor was a revelation. Not too busy but a nice infinity pool plus a smaller kids pool and really comfortable loungers in individual boothes with adjustable screens, very nice! U can read my Agoda reviews of The Hotel Istana KL; The Paradise Sands in Penang and the Holiday Villas in Langkawi as well as the Marina Mandarin in Singapore.

Good Location and Value for Money”

We arrived the Gardens Residences at midnight. The reception area was quite small with only 2 reception tables. The room key was a flimsy piece of card and it doesnt look like the usual hotel room key at all. When we went to our 2 Bedroom Deluxe apartment, the living area was spacious with sofas and round table for 4 pax. There is a balcony with quite a good view as we were on pretty high floor. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils which we did not utilise as we had our meals at Mid Valley. There is a bathtub in the Master Bedroom and the toilet has full glass window. It is a little hot in the afternoon due to the greenhouse effect. Overall a very nice apartment to stay in. Highly recommended for travellors looking for a place to stay in Mid Valley.

Different room but same location”

We've stayed at The Gardens Hotel and Residences many times and this is the first time that we are staying at the St Giles Apartments. The 1 bedroom apartment is large and has all the facilities that you would expect from an apartment. The reason we choose to stay here is its excellent location which is above The Gardens Mall. It is also within close vicinity to the Mid Valley Mega Mall where you can find lots of shopping and dining. We really enjoyed our stay although we would prefer staying at the hotel to the apartments as the hotel offers better access to The Gardens Mall.

Great Location with almot everything you want”

The hotel has great location being attached to one of the best shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur with almost all kinds of facilities including restaurants, fast foods, shops, spas and entertainments such as cinemas and playing zones. The Golden Screen Cinema in Garden is one of the best cinemas I have gone. Its Golden cinema is magnificent and I recommend it to anybody in love of cinema. Signature cinema i also great. Restaurants have great diversity (the most I have ever seen). The hotel by itself is great too. Clean, well furnished and kind staff. The view is fine and its swimming pool was enjoyable. I recommend it to anybody goes to Malaysia.
