Baguio Vacation”

I would like to say thank you to the The Forest Lodge for providing us a memorable stay. I booked for 2 nights in Standard room this September 2017. Upon arrival the staff lead us to a Suite room with a very nice view of Camp John Hay golf course. They said that it is a complimentary gift by the management to us. Probably because I stayed 1 week prior to my birthday. I think the following needs improvement: 1. Slippers should be free to guests 2. Provide gym facility 3. Install a hot swimming pool 4. Noise from the conference room should be minimize 5. Low down the price of the breakfast buffet (currently at 500/person) 6. Install a door bell on rooms Additional good points for The Forest Lodge: 1. Just in front of Outlet stores (branded goods) 2. Peaceful and fresh air compared with Baguio city in general 3. Near the call center where you can find lots of restaurants 4. Lots of site seeing and outdoor activities in the immediate vicinity

Exceptional”

The weather was bad during our stay but the cozy ambiance of The Forest Lodge made our stay worthwhile. I initially advised that we are celebrating my husband's birthday and when we got there, there were balloons, confetti and a slice of cake with a happy birthday greeting. Room is spacious and very child friendly, my 1 year old toddler can be left alone wandering around the room without worrying about any hard corners or sharp objects that might hurt him. I accidentally broke a glass of wine and a staff was readily available to clean up. There are ample parking slots which is an issue if you stay in hotels at the town proper. The fact that the hotel is located at Camp John Hay makes it all the more fantastic. Lastly, my husband left his ring at our room and when we went back there 20 minutes after we checked out, his ring is already at the receptionist. Highly commending the honesty of their staff. We will definitely go back and stay here.

Memorable stay in Baguio for my Mom's 58th Birthday”

Thank you Forest Lodge, we checked in from February 3-5, 2019 primarily to celebrate my Mom's 58th birthday. They were so kind and surprised my mom with a cake and balloons in her room. We appreciate the personal touch and it made my mom very happy. February 5 was also Chinese New Year, so our trip from Baguio's City proper we found Tikoy in our room, again from Forest Lodge! Thank you for making our stay great. Camp John Hay is always our preferred place to stay when visiting Pines City. Just a minor comment, the 2nd floor is where the staff room is so if you get easily bothered by noise, they come in and out bringing equipment/ dishes/ to the employees room, I strongly suggest you request to be transferred to an upper floor.

What a fancy spot”

Unlike anywhere else I stayed in Philippines, the Lodge at Camp John Hay really felt luxurious. The restaurant at the adjacent Manor, and the. Gardens there are very nice. We were pleased that the “dress code” preventing slippers was not enforced. Initially when checking in, I noticed there were two luxurious bath towels but no wash cloths (face cloths). I called the front desk who had someone bring up to hand towels (which were welcome) but had difficulty explaining what a wash cloth was. About 5 minutes later the same charming housekeeper brought back a couple wash cloths. Had the bath been fully stocked, the room would have been perfect. When we went to check out, I was a bit perturbed that it took so long to “check the room.” Luckily I waited until a couple pieces of clothing left behind were retrieved. Great place, great service. Staff at the restaurant at the Manor were Great!

Great location. Superb service! ”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Forest Lodge for three nights. The hotel has a cozy feel. The hotel staff are all very helpful, unlike the service we got from the hotel beside it last year. Food is decently priced as well. Location is great with nearby restos and activities we can do in Camp John Hay. Only setback is our hotel room should have come with a balcony but what we got was an open space outside our room with barely any view (there was a high wall obstructing any view). So we never used it. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Traveling on my own and Finding serenity ”

My first solo travel. I wanted to go somewhere a little familiar, cold, quiet. I decided to go to Baguio, Camp John Hay in particular because I know it’s quiet there - away from busy streets and toxic buildings in Manila. I booked for a De Luxe room, got it for 50% off (rainy day promo I guess). To my surprise, I was upgraded to a Suite! ❤️ All of the staff at the hotel are very friendly, warm and accommodating. Each one will greet you with a smile on their face. Hotel room is clean and cozy. Not much facilities though (no gym and pool) but it has a restaurant and cafe at the ground level. However, there is not much restaurant within the vicinity so you have to go out pf CJH if you are picky with food. The location is great. I enjoyed being surrounded by pine trees inside a quiet and non-traffic place. I loved how I can simply walk around the area and enjoy the cool weather.

Experience a wonderful stay in Baguio”

Forest Lodge Hotel experience was great. The room was big. It was clean and have a superb view of camp John Hay. Restaurant inside the hotel was good. They have bar with entertainers/singer during the night (throughout the week). The place is walking distance to other hotels and restaurant, so you have other options to eat outside the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.-Mai R.

A Great Place to Stay”

The Forest Lodge is a good hotel in a great location, nestled within Camp John Hay and very near places of interest within the camp that you can literally just take a walk in the cool breeze and sight of all the pine trees. One draw down of the hotel though is the pilot restaurant. I'm not really convinced with the menu and the taste and cannot associate the same with the price tab. I hope they make some improvements on this, otherwise we had an overall pleasant stay.

It is a good hotel but we didn't get what we reserved/booked for..”

We were supposed to have a Deluxe Room with 2 single beds (as per Agoda listing) but as confirmed by one of their receptionist (called them before I made a reservation via Agoda), their beds are customized and those "single" beds can actually fit up to 2 persons. Sadly, we were given a room with 1 queen bed (which looks smaller than the actual 60" x 75-80" queen bed) and we were not even informed about it when we checked in, I just noticed and called the front desk after we saw the room. They waived the add'l person fee and sent us 1 foldable single bed (small and lowered) to compensate. Veranda in our room was small and the walls made it impossible to take a photo on a different angle/view other than the front view. Also, their receptionists can add more smiles as they look snob sometimes. Food is okay (Pork Sinigang was not that tasty but their Crispy Pork Belly and the sauce was great). Hotel is budget friendly, to think that it's on a great location- we loved staying at Camp John Hay! Overall experience is good and we'll definitely consider this hotel when we go back to Baguio. :)

Post Pandemic vacation, we need a good rest and peaceful environment with matching view of Nature. We found this at the Forest Lodge at Camp John Hay. Thank you for accommodating us. Although housekeeping is not available, over all services are excellent.

Value for money”

Got a room for a very low price in agoda. Everything was perfect except for breakfast. I make more delicious waffles. Enjoyed music at the lounge at night with some drinks. Front desk people and housekeeping attendants were all smiles and helpful. No slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste and sewing kit for a hotel of this class bracket? (Mimor issue for me) All in all, will come back here next time. And if I were to choose among the 3 hotels inside camp john hay, my vote would be with this hotel.

Best hotel we stayed so far in Baguio”

It was our first time to stay at Forest Lodge and my family was very happy and we had a comfortable stay. Spacious room, clean and strong water. Wifi connection is good. Location is excellent as this is inside the Camp John Jay. Staff very friendly. However, there's no breakfast inclusion on the room rate which is a bit expensive. But all in all, we will definitely book here again snd will recommend to friends.

pros location is in a safe area and close to everywhere. staff are always smiling always asking what you need.. Since we are traveling with kids they allowed us to check in early as soon as there is a room available for us. cons: I cant imagine how will u get to Camp John Hay by public transpo. You must take note that the rooms are not airconditioned (this is somewhat ok since its Baguio weather

Sparkling clean rooms ”

Very nice hotel within camp john hay! They’ve got evrything u need in a room. Very spacious. Cons: No option for free breakfast though they have resto inside however choices ate limited. This hotel is very near the kids activities like horse back riding, zip line, butterfly sanctuary and go kart. These facilities are just ok for a kid but not as what we are expecting. All in all we would still stay here in the future.

Cool Stay”

Forest Lodge may be one of the most underrated places to stay in Baguio. Given its location, facilities and accommodations, by far it would be one of the coolest places to stay in Baguio. As well, if you are into Filipino dishes, the food in its dining area simply tastes great. As we were in Baguio mostly on a weekday, the place was not congested, which I personally preferred. We could dine quietly on a cool, rainy evening while listening to a guitarist or a pianist playing live on the lobby. That to me is what makes Baguio a special place to go to at this time of the year & the hotel captures the experience totally. The slight damper to the stay is the 'stuffy,' wet smell emanating from the dresser closet in the room. I hope the

NICE PLACE”

Camp John Hay still gives the feel of Baguio. It's our first time at The Forest Lodge. The room is nice but the noise of the adjacent room can be heard through the door of the "open space" so don't get a room on the first floor. Otherwise, it was a good time out for us.
