Refreshing new Boutique Resort experience!”

glad to have chosen the chandi boutique resort for our stay on lombok. it was the highlight of our time in lombok as we didn't enjoy much else on the island, with the other tourist spots and sites being too far away from chandi. the stay was pleasant and comfortable mainly due to the fact that it is a new resort. it certainly had a 'holiday resort' feel to it and with the low number of guests, we enjoyed the peace and quiet a true 'resort' should offer. breakfast time was a joy, served just a few metres from the water's edge and with a sumptuous and varied menu choice. service was very good and it was obvious the staff would go the extra mile to please guests and to enhance their resort experience at the chandi. the only downside was that the beach at chandi was not welcoming at all and we didn't even step into the sea during our 3 day/2 night stay. we left our water activities till our stay on gili trawangan and weren't disappointed there. all in all a good choice if you want a refreshing seaside resort experience and much treasured peace and quiet during your stay.

Very Nice Boutique Hotel”

This relative new Boutique resort is an oasis located at the beach site of Sengiggi Lombok. Located about an hour from the airport in Sengiggi by taxi for Rp. 250.000. The (Lombok) Kuta beach close to current airport seems to be more beautiful and will develop over the years. Now only e.g. Novotel.. The place to be is the other side, Senggigi where the old airport was. The resort designed set up is very nice in many details. Beautiful garden and reception. The Bar, restaurant and pool area are overlooking the beach and sea. There is one connecting room type of bungalow. The rooms are nicely designed with an open outside bathroom with shower. Beds, pillows, mini bar, safe, AC, wifi all nice and convenient and of high quality. Excellent luggage service and friendly staff. The pool area offers enough quality sun beds, towels and parasols to relax. It is difficult though to catch the sun as most are located under the many palm trees. The pool service can be more pro active as people claim a sun bed early without using it, arriving just very late/limited or just leave the towels not knowing if you can take it or not. The hotel is outside the small town Sengiggi and can be reached by taxi for Rp 15.000 only as well many restaurants offer a free shuttle service like “ Square Restaurant” by far the best in town. Good location for taking a private chartered boat to the Gili islands from Sengiggi beach. Very nice snorkeling at the 3 Gili’s a full day costing total US $ 70,- Easy to rent at agency across “Asmara restaurant” or rent a motorbike for $5 a day. Food and drinks are priced in line with quality of the resort. You would expect that such a resort offers a real espresso/cappuccino at breakfast. Unfortunately this was only offered when you would pay an additional $5++ A missed opportunity to make the stay excellent in details. Overall very nice Boutique resort to stay.

Great place to chill and escape from bustling citi”

I stayed here after my trip to Gili Trawangan. Apparently, the Chandi Boutique Resort is under the same management with the hotel i stayed the other day (Living Asia), so I expect nothing less from the flawless service. Again, it did not fail my expectation. The hotel is less than 1 year old (slightly older than Living Asia), and relatively closer to the center of Senggigi. When arrived, I was greeted by my name. Check in process was instant, and we were served welcome drinks and fresh fruits. The layout of the hotel is pretty similar with Living Asia, with infinite pool, bar and restaurant by the beach side. Unfortunately, nothing much to do on the beach as it looks a bit dirty and rocky. The only slight difference is Chandi does not have second floor. Room is spacious (not that important to me) but bed was comfortable. The outdoor bathroom was great, but it's too open and considering the neighboring area (local people housing and lots of coconut trees) we have to make sure that noone is climbing up the coconut trees to have a peek on us. One other thing was, going back and forth to the bathroom, will invite mosquitoes to your bedroom. We were having a good sleep there, but was slightly awake at 4-5 am because of the neighboring mosque. But once again, flawless service from this resort always make my day.

"Lovely hotel and service with a smile"”

The best hotel stayed ever for me and my wife. Staff are friendly and very helpful. They even pack breakfast for us because we need to check out early (4.30 am). The best sunset view from the swimming pool. The breakfast was superb, done with perfection.... Location also good, near to Senggigi central so easy to find a spa, minimart and good restaurant and bar. I would like to say thank you to all staff of The Chandi Boutique Resort and I will stay there again if I coming back to Lombok.

Best hotel on Lombok!”

the chandi boutique resort is a small hotel, which is located direct to the beach. the service is incredible good, the best i ever got on lombok. also the restaurant is extraordinary: you can expect dishes on the highest level. with the taxi you need just 5 minutes to senggigi, so even going out in the evenings/nights is very easy. otherwise the hotel garden and the beach in front of the hotel are perfect for relaxing. 5***** tip!

The Chandi is a MUST for anyone going to Lombok”

The Chandi is a fantastic boutique resort, with 15 rooms, enough to meet people if you want, quiet enough to keep to yourself. Great view from ocean view villas, although they are side on. The bar for cocktails is great. The breakfast is more than enough to keep you going until dinner, although the volcano cake is a nice little treat in the afternoon. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The beach is not really for swimming , but the sunsets are amazing, the colours of the sky a MUST see.Room is extremely clean, the shower is outside...so when it rains, you have two showers in one!! Bonus. Thank you Chandi we WILL be back. The trip into Senggigi is about 7 min and cost $1.50. The staff will call the taxi for you. One tip...have small change as taxi drivers have not change!

Best Boutique Hotel on Lombok”

we stayed in 2 hotels on Lombok the Chandi Boutique Resort and the Quicia Villas and by far the Chandi was the best hotel on Lombok. Not only are the rooms fantastic, the service was amazing, the pool was phenomenal and the food/bar were great. I would without hestitation recommend this hotel to everyone! We wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately we had to continue on with our travels. Enjoy!

Almost perfect beach retreat!”

Our stay at the Chandi Resort was great. It is in a beautiful spot right by the beach south of Senggigi, which is easy and cheap to reach by cab. The garden grounds are beautiful and well manicured, the villas brand new, well maintained and very comfortable- the semi-open bathroom is stunning and huge. The breakfast is a la carte, but big and has a great range of choices. All the staff is very attentive, especially the manager, Wire. The only dowsinde, as mentioned by others before- the hotel is close to the main road, which accounts in fact for most hotels on the way to and in Senggigi, so you do hear it. Despite that Chandi Resort is a very relaxig place!

A very pleasant stay. Love the serenity of it. ”

A very nice place to stay in Senggigi. Nice food, friendly and helpful staffs were definitely a plus point. Love the serenity of the surroundings. We'd gotten a complimentary chocolate cake from the chef as a surprise for our honeymoon stay. The bed was nicely decorated with flowers upon our arrival. Well maintained garden and clean environment. Love the idea of the outdoor bathroom, however be ready to expect insects joining you in the shower. :) Overall, it's a very pleasant stay. Chandi Boutique Resort will definitely be in our list if we are back to Senggigi again one day.

Super for honeymoon”

Lombok is such a small relaxing island. We stay at Chandi Boutique resort. At first, we were skeptical as it is a small resort with around 10-15 bungalows. The next day the sun rises, we were astonished by the beauty of the resort. The place is so private and you directly feel like you are home. The staff is the friendliest most professional staff I have ever known. We will definitely come here again😍

Great place for Lombok escape!”

We spent at Chandi nine nights beginning of March 2015 - that was really fantastic time! The resort is very nice, located in coconut palm garden at Batu Layar - 5 minutes drive from Sengiggi (Blue Bird or Express taxi cost around 2-3$, depending where you go at Sengiggi). Property is well maintained, and it is clean. Rooms are also very clean and spacious. We liked outside showers. We stayed at Ocean Villa, which is more quiet option than the Garden Villa, but a little smaller. The most advantage of this place is fantastic staff, from the reservation team, through restaurant staff, housekeeping to gardeners and security guys, all are so kind, helpfull and always smailing! We were travelling with a 11 months baby, so for our arrival they prepared a baby cot (high quality) and a baby bath. The only remark I can mention, regards the prices at the resort restaurant - in my opinion - too high in comparison with other up market places, but for us it was not a problem - for lunch or dinner we went outside to Sengiggi. Overall, I can say that I would like to have this level of service everywhere in Indonesia :-) We spent at Chandi Boutique Resort great holiday and for sure we will come back, because of good service and very friendly staff. Thank you for a great vacation!

A beautiful resort with very friendly staff”

We stayed for 4 nights at the Chandi Boutique and thought it was amazing. A perfect place to relax and unwind. The pool/beach area is fantastic. The staff are all so friendly and love to have a chat. The spa was great and reasonably priced. The restaurant had delicious meals. The only negatives I have is that the beach had a LOT of litter on it each day and the resort is about an 8 minute taxi ride out of the main area of Sengiggi. We would definitely stay again if we came back to Lombok!

A perfect place to unwind”

I stayed at The Chandi with my partner and we both have the most relaxing holiday ever, just lying on the beach and enjoying the beautiful sun and sea breeze. The hotel staff were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was very good. And this boutique resort is quiet and well designed. Will definitely stay here again if i come back to Lombok. Also, for good food, try Warung Menega for dinner. Just inform the reception and they will be more than happy to do the reservation for you. It is only a 5 minutes taxi ride from the hotel. Very good grilled seafood.

Excellent, beautiful, relaxing”

Loved this one! We stayed here our final night in Lombok/Gili. It's about an hour from the airport. We booked a garden view villa, but I think because it was off season, they had availability in the ocean view villas, and they upgraded us to an ocean view. Thank you for that Chandi. The view was absolutely stunning. Open your curtains, and you can see the ocean and hear the waves crashing on the shore. The beach wasn't the cleanest or the safest I think. Which is why I never saw anyone go into the water. But Lombok beaches are anyways not as good as Gili's. The staff was very friendly and helpful and explained everything very well. The room was clean. The bathroom is open roof, which was a new experience. The pool area is amazing. The resort has a nice breeze on the pool 24x7. I hardly relax in the sun but I pretty much stayed near the pool for 5 hours. The breakfast was splendid. Lunch and dinner dishes were good too. The only thing that bothered a little were small ants in the room. But that's expected with a villa surrounded by greenery with an open roof bathroom. Just ask the staff to come spray insect repellant and you'll be fine.

Very pretty place with great food and service ”

We had a wonderful time at he Chandi Hotel. It's a brand new hotel so all the facilities are very clean, outdoor shower without bug or frog problems. Each room is it's own studio house, very spacious. However, it is close enough to the house next door that you can hear them if your neighbors are having a party, which was what happened on our last night. So, I stuck my head out the door and asked them to quiet down, and the problem was solved. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, upon request, they prepared a delicious birthday cake for my husband's birthday breakfast. The hotel driver is available to take you to nearby locations (pharmacy, harbor, beach, etc,) as long as he doesn't have any scheduled pick up. The food was really delicious, kudos to the chef.. My daughter loved the spagetti bolognaise, she had it almost everyday. I found their western cooking much tastier than Indonesian which is interesting as the chef is from Lombok. Although the price isn't cheap the quality was comparable to NY fine cruisines. The hotel is situated on the shore but the beach is not swimmable, dark sand, lots of coral reef, and some rubbish... But the view is incredible and the swimming pool is facing this incredible ocean view. Cons: The hotel does not have a spa, staff speaks limited English but they are eager to help. Overall, it was a pleasant experience staying with them.

Charming hotel, nice design, Excellent service”

We had a wonderful stay at Chandi boutique hotel thanks to the very friendly and very professional staff and thanks to the very relaxing atmosphere. The service was very personalised, the food at the restaurant excellent and the hotel very well designed. The location is ok as it is close to Senggigi main restaurants. The only negative points were the beach (not very clean and not easy to swim) and the noise due to the close road.

Great oasis just a short ride from Senggigi”

the chandi was a beautifully designed hotel. the rooms were large and the open-air bathrooms were nicer than any indoor hotel bathrooms we've seen. out of our travels from north to south lombok, this hotel offered the best value. only drawback was the beach is not very nice. however, the entire senggigi area is not the best place for the beach anyway. the pool area is a excellent alternative for relaxing. the food and staff were the best of our trip, which included sekotong and gili air.

Fabulous”

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at The Chandi. From the welcome drink, to the beautifully maintained grounds, the staff who remembered your names and the ocean views, everything was lovely. The price was very modest for what you got and what you would pay elsewhere for a similar hotel experience. Excellent cocktails, especially if you were around for the 2 for 1 deal! Situated about 4-5km out of Senggigi, we hired a scooter for $6/day which meant that it was very easy to get around, but there are certainly a lot of taxis around, so the distance was not a problem.

The best”

Over our 3 week stay in boutique hotels in Bali, Gili air and Lombok the Chandi was by far the best accommodation. The rooms,food,staff,grounds,pool and service was amazing. Alwun,ayu,Abdul and Wire were just a few of the many helpful staff there that made our stay at the Chandi an exceptional experience!

Wonderful location, great staff always helpful”

The location is ideal for exploring Lombok in all directions. You are close to Senggigi to access a great variety of eateries and tour operators but away from the hustle and bustle. Sitting in the bar at night sipping a cocktail watching the sunset is amazing. The staff are very good and highly skilled in customer service. My partner and I have very special memories of our stay in Chandi and plan to return in the future.
