Highly recommended hotel to stay”
The hotel room here is not very wide but adequate and clean. My family and I love the industrial design of the room. What surprise us is the hotel will provide us complimentary 2 cans of beer, Coke and 2 bottles of water daily. The staffs are friendly and helpful too. One of the staff in reception desk speaks really good English, also she took me to the police station with her bike as I wanted to make a report on my smartphone being grabbed away. The breakfast provided is quite basic with less variety, but it is satisfying for us. The location of the hotel is in the central of District 1, which is not very far from some of the popular landmarks by foot. There are plenty of food stalls or restaurant nearby, so need not worry about your meal. A 24 hr convenience store is also at the same with the hotel. Overall it was a great experience for my family and I staying in this hotel and we will definitely consider here when we travel to Ho Chi Minh city again.

Room with no window ”
This was the first hotel I stayed in that had no window in the room. When I researched hotels prior to arriving in Vietnam, I knew I wanted to stay at Akoya Saigon Central, however I was concerned as the only rooms available were windowless. However, after visiting the busy and noisy cities of Hanoi and HCMC, having a room without a window is the way to go! The room was small, but had everything I needed for a 4-night stay. The bed was comfortable and all items in the bar fridge were free! The shower worked well but no hot water from sink tap, which I found odd. The hotel is less than a block from Ben Thanh Market, and a 5 minute walk to some good restaurants in the area. The breakfast service was a bit inadequate on my first meal, then the next time it was outstanding, a complete opposite of the previous day. Despite the hiccup on the first morning breakfast, all the customer service from the female staff was very sweet and highly appreciated.

Lovely hotel, even better staff”
Akoya is a lovely small scale hotel in central District 1 - two blocks from the Ben Thanh market and walking distance from the main upscale shopping district in Saigon. The owner pays close attention to her property, and has clearly paid close attention to the design and fittings in the apartment. The bathrooms are gorgeous and the beds ultra comfy, I wish I was having less fun and could have slept in more often. The front desk staff all spoke excellent English and were the most beautiful gentle people I met in VN. The rooms were always cleaned well and the cleaners honest - I intentionally left money and notebooks out, the cleaners did not touch them. The security man Mr Van is the most gentle and sweet man, every time taking the opportunity to ensure I was getting in the car I had ordered, and keeping touts away from me - he is a huge asset to their establishment. I will be returning and would not consider any other hotel in Saigon.

Exceptional”
I really loved Akoya Saigon. All the staff were extremely helpful, the facilities were clean and while we picked a small room, it was well organized and modern. I wish we had opted for a room with a window but the soundproofing considering we were on a busy street was good. AC worked well. Breakfast was always varied with fresh juice, yoghurt and hot food. Congee was always good. We will stay here again.

Amazing small a d cozy hotel in perfect location. ”
You feel extremely welcome at checkin. The hotel is like brand new. Beds are very comfortable and I slept like a king. Breakfast has a good variety of hot dishes and some western choices. Glad I will be back to stay at Akoya again in just two weeks!

Ideal location ”
Perfectly situated around the corner from the street food market and Ben tanh market. Small hotel but gives a more personalised experience. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast more than adequate, free mini bar in the room. Stayed here as our planned stay at the central palace hotel was cancelled by the hotel just a few days before.........I think they did us a favour we had a fantastic stay at less than half the price, with a small balcony too! Only thing missing was a pool but we wouldn’t have had time to use this anyway. Would definitely return

It's OK-ya!”
Location is good, with the Ben Thanh market on a parallel street and ample food outlets (from street stalls to cafes to bars. Akoya is a boutique hotel and like her neighbours, the main entrance is up a flight of stairs. The room I booked and was assigned was facing the main road from where the street noises continues past 2am. The hotel has kindly provided ear plugs (!) but was only told on the day I was about to check out. Layout of the room is good with an open hanging shelf for our clothes (but unfortunately insufficient hangers.) The room is new and clean with the usual hotel stuff. The few possible improvements: adjust the height of the wall socket so that it does NOT block the night table when the adaptor and plug is in. : shorten the hanging lamp by the bedside so that we won't bump our head every time we get out of bed. (I tied the wire but the housekeeping took out the elastic!) : Housekeeping should clear the drain in the shower stall DAILY to prevent water from being trapped and overflowing to the general area of the bathroom : Housekeeping should also have a checklist of things they need to replenish DAILY so that we do not have to call the reception for fresh towels, tissue, water... Otherwise, all's good with special thanks to Triss at Reception and the young man who double-up as waiter at breakfast and porter at other times (he's the one with big eyes and smiles). Breakfast is simple and sufficient and relaxed but seating is limited. Room tip: if you are claustrophobic, book a room with windows. There are only 2 on each floor!

Sehr gut, very good!”
We were traveling as a couple and stayed 2N. The hotel has a perfect position very close to almost all the important things to see in district 1. The front desk lady spoke perfect english, was very Friendly and helped a lot. Rooms were clean and we were happy. 10 of 10!

Very good”
Cons: on agoda it says new hotel/building which is misleading, its not new, properly just new management. Don't get the budget room, unless you're okay with small congested room, the bathroom floor isn't mopped properly, it smells like old used towel. The door isn't fully closed at the bottom, so you would be able to see the lights from the hallway shining under through your door. The walls are paper thin so if you're a light sleeper, good luck, you'll be able to hear/ smell everything.

Strategic location, modern design”
We knew the breakfast was basic but it exceeded our expectations! A little bit of everything - noodles, meat, bread, fruits, dairy - kept us satisfied. I wish the rooms had windows, but the interiors were aesthetically pleasing. The place is in District 1 which allowed us to avail of the free pick up service by our tour agency. It is also close to Ben Thanh Market and establishments abound within walking distance. Great property and affordable!

Brand new hotel, looking to make a good impression”
Gave free upgrade to slightly better room, plus free mini-bar and free access to massage chairs (but we didn't try chairs). Buffet breakfast with freshly-cooked eggs option, but staff seemed over-busy sometimes and so food supply needs a little more of their attention A great location for us as we were close enough to walk to all the places we wanted to go, and market and bars nearby.

Awesome little hotel”
Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in Saigon and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Location is within walking distance to Ben Thanh Market, Reunification Palace, HCM Museum, and the War Remnants Museum. Rooms are immaculately clean and the staff is top-notch. They made our trip so much more memorable :-)

Great hotel in the heart of Saigon”
Hotel is very stylish and modern, we got a room without a window (as last time we stayed in Saigon it was super noisy) it was quiet and clean. Staff is super helpful and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend to stay there, it is a minute walk from the market.

Staff were amazing! Reasonable amenities.”
I booked the cheapest room. It was very small with no windows. However, there was a small free mini-bar, decent channels on the TV, a safe, complimentary breakfast, and free massage chairs downstairs. Overall, great stay! However, just know that you can get cheaper hotels closer to the Bui Vien street (backpacker/walking street). They greatest thing about this hotel were the Hotel staff. Very helpful with everything I needed!! They are the reason I am recommending this hotel above the rest.
