Best hotel in Da Lat ”

We stayed here initially for one week but finally prolonged it once and going to do so one more time totaling overall time spend in Da Lat of 3+ weeks. Before we stayed in another hotel in Da Lat center and studied through Agoda/Booking/AirBnB all options nearby Tuyen Lam Lake. We like calm and relaxed leisure outside of noisy locations. Terracotta is the best hotel in Dalat for us meeting all our requirements. It has a fantastic park cultivated with love and taste. Placed right on the shore of the Tuyen Lam Lake, it provides you great opportunity to start your morning with the walk having water on the one side and pine-trees forest from the other. The service - both standards and attitude to guest - are superior, we are feeling ourselves like at home. We found "our place" in Vietnam and for sure will come back there not one time. One wish, if I may, is that the hotel increase number of options in the menu for vegans. From Russia with love, Vlad and Oxana (room 6206)

Great plan for hideaway”

It s just perfect for my plan to hideaway. I m in touch to the true highland Dalat. By the side of Tuyen Lam lake, an hidden charm place (to me at least) and just away from the (too much) crowded Dalat City Centre. There are fresh air, sunlight through pine tree and cooling wind from the lake ... adding great sense to my morning. Take a deep breath and enjoy. Besides, it remains almost same cool during the day rather than suddenly changing hot as in the city. Although a little bit cold at night (to Asian), it means to be so, added foggy and lights to feel the coming season. There are ways between the resort to/from city and other attractions provided either by free shuttles or local transportations with reasonable cost and variety. Go get it and enjoy. Highly recommended.

Perfect weekend-get-away venue”

I love every aspect of this beautiful resort. Terracotta is well-known for its resort in Mui Ne but the one in Da Lat is much better. Beautiful decor, nice view towards Tuyen Lam Lake. Well-maintained and very good customer service. It's a bit boring without many activities inside the resort and quite costly to get to the city centre. You can use the bus service from the hotel but I don't prefer this.

First time in Da lat. Terracotta is outside the city center: perfect!! Not so far around 10 or 15mn by free shuttle bus. This place is wonderful, peaceful surrounded by trees & have a beautiful lake. We were looking for a relaxing sounds of Nature without pollution and this place was the best choice ever made when we start our journey we didn't want to move anywhere else. We visited by motorbike 'Thác Pongour' it's 1 hour trip from the hotel to reach the waterfall, amazing. The room was so comfortable and we are not talking only about the bathtub!! There is the best Gym room that we have never seen in Vietnam. Moreover, we had the best relaxing massage all over Asia, Thanks Quynh and the only men masseur. The staff are discret, friendly and always at your disposition. You have to be aware that you can share the hotel with some seminars group but nothing will change your amazing journey except the rain. :-) Only two advices for Terracotta: . It should have more choices into the menu . It will be great if the swimming pool could be plenty filled of water (from the rim to the bottom). ​In the middle of the lake, you will see a large, big banner 'SACOM', it is definitely scarred the landscape !! It should be remove ! We will come back to this place for sure and have already shared with our friends this lovely place. Thanks to Terracotta

We really love our experience here!!”

We took a quick getaway during the weekend. This place has everything that we'd love to experience when spending our time in Dalat for the very first time together. The room is awesome with high standard interior decoration, perfect cleanliness, and good view from the window. Surrounded by mountain and trees and lake and gardens, Terracotta doesn't make us feel like we are staying at a hotel, it brings us the feeling of going on a luxurious camping trip, the combination of green nature and comfortable accommodation is beyond our expectation. Only 10 minutes away from the city centre and 3 free shuttle buses per day go back and forth is another big PLUS that we love about this resort. Strongly recommend!

A haven tucked away from the city”

It was a pleasure staying at Terracotta. It is a new property so the interiors and exteriors looked fresh. The place was very peaceful and relaxing. The staff were friendly, although not everyone was fluent in English. As guests, my family could tell that they were really trying their best to communicate in English. I think that's good. The food at the hotel is good, but not that great. We usually went out to the city for dinner where there is more variety. It is about 15 mins by taxi. Vi at the concierge was very helpful in recommending places for local food in the city. She was the best staff that we met at Terracotta! Our spa experience was good, too. The signature Terracotta and classic Thai massages are highly recommended. My husband and I booked two massages each during our 4-night stay. The therapists are very good. Overall, however, the spa operation (from a customer's perspective) has a lot of room for improvement. I do understand that it is a new property, but they have to review the spa menu and the services that they offer. My husband was asked to enter the ladies' VIP room (which was ideal for couples). It was OK, because they didn't have customers except for me and my husband. I don't think they currently have a couple's room (I may be wrong). In the peak seasons, this can be problematic. The hotel is good for families with children. There is a spacious family room on the second floor. I will definitely stay at this hotel again! I will also recommend this place to family and friends!

Very good place for a retreat ”

Nestled in the pine woods on a peninsular surrounded by Tuyen Lam lake, Terracotta is highly recommended for people who prefer a tranquil and natural environment. Breakfast is very decent with many choices, both Asian and Western foods. Landscape is well maintained and staff is very friendly and helpful.

Near perfect except for breakfast ”

We have stayed at Terracotta for quite a number of time. We love the surroundings, the lake, the walkway and landscape together with the lovely birds and fresh air. We switched from apartment to villa room despite higher price due to few reasons: 1) the view; 2) convenience with shared kitchen and living room; 3) much quieter and enjoyable (somehow the sound proof in all apartment rooms we stayed was horrible. We could hear people walking by and talking along the hall). This time, we was quite disappointed with poor quality breakfast which might have been due to Covid-19. The soup was not hot enough, the banh cuon was like left from previous day - dry and tasteless. Same went for other choices. I wish the resort pay more attention to your food quality, maintaining it regardless of timing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will continue choosing Terra-cotta for my stay in DaLat.

Quiet stay outside Dalat”

My wife and I stayed for 4 relaxing days at Terracotta. The hotel is 15 minutes outside the town but thankfully provided a shuttle into town about 4 times a day (which we used diligently everyday). Terracotta is a lakefront property with tranquil walking paths and patios. A separate building houses the pool, gym, recreation area and spa. There are 2 breakfast areas, indoor and outdoor, but due to numerous tour groups, very full and very hectic. Unfortunately the hotel does not offer motorbike rental. Datanla Waterfalls is only 5 minutes away and the rider controlled roller coaster was awesome. Overall Terracotta offers a clean and spacious room to explore Dalat. I would definitely return in my next visit.

Please consider terracotta as your first choice! Never regret! Great breakfast even I only can take selected food cause I’m muslim. Beautiful hotel and big room. My kid love the tub in the bathroom. Exactly like 5 star hotel! The bad news is, the hotel don’t provide motor rental. However you can go to restaurant beside the lake house dalat (hotel) to rent the motor. Only 5 minute from the terracotta. The hotel also provide bus shuttle... thank you terracota.

Resort is located next to Tuyen Lam Lake. Fresh air, (heard) 18ha w full of flower, resort even has clean vagetable & strawberry garden that supply for guests. We (2 adults, 1 child) paid 100k vnd for a sight seeing trip by electric car inside resort. Enterainment area is small but good enough. Dinner w set menu has reasonable price w good quality (380k/ 2 adults & 1 child) The only cons is breakfast buffer is not creative. My family stayed there 3 nights so got bored .

perfect for relaxing ”

Set amongst pine trees overlooking the lake with beautiful flowers immaculatey maintained. Spacious rooms with powerful hit shower and bath. Attentive staff. Would have liked to have stayed longer in the cooler temperature. Shuttle bus that you should book to the centre of town but more than happy to trade hustle and noise of town centre for peace and quiet by lake. Took my wife's mother and father who were also impressed. If we came back to Dalat would definitely stay again, Just loved the Terracotta Resort

Very good location because next to Tuyen Lam Lake”

Best location because next to Tuyen Lam lake. Terracotta with two block 4 floor hotel and some villas lake view for family trip. Facilities is good with restaurant, multi function room, in door pool & spa, games room and karaoke too. Tennis cort and garden I like most when walked around Terracotta road near the lake.

Alpine Luxury”

We booked our stay at the Terracotta Hotel and Resort sight unseen so were quite unprepared for the vast lakeside alpine luxury we found. Situated about 20 minutes by taxi outside of Da Lat, it's a huge complex, quite new, offering hotel rooms and lakeside cabanas. Our standard room was extremely comfortable and very well-appointed. We were upgraded on our second night and appreciated the leafy view. The heated indoor pool, situated in its own complex with a gym and spa, was clean and inviting. Breakfast was served in the huge indoor / outdoor restaurant and well-catered to every taste. The impeccably-groomed staff were hospitable and most helpful to us organising on-going air travel.. The Terracotta might be a little too far out of town for some but it's sumptuous and we received five star treatment for a fraction of the price.

Mesmerising!!!”

The resort is really big and beautiful, surrounded by the pine tree forest and Tuyen Lam lake. We felt relaxed when walk along the lake, everything is quiet and peaceful. All staffs are very friendly and professional. The only thing we did not like is the breakfast, we hope it had more choices. Anyways, we had a good time there and will recommend.

I amazed by the landscape like nowhere else comparable to this new land! If I were I visit VN I would choose terracota to be my first choice among all hotel in Dalat. The room, the staff, the breakfast, dinner with reasonable cost, the park I rode a rented motocicle around a large resort of Lam lake .., wow I enjoy every minue and It was sad to have two short days to stay. I wish to come again..., GREAT GREAT GREAT ....

Comfortable, cozy and quiet hotel for relaxation ”

We were pleased staying in Terracotta: fresh mountain air with pine odour, calmness and coziness of location, beautyful view of Tuyen Lam lake, proximity of Truc Lam monastery and cableway to Da Lat center. But there were some weaknesses: 1) if you would like to have varied breakfast, you should get up very early morning; 2) poor Wifi

Beautiful Resort!”

This place exceeded our expectations by a long shot. The grounds of the resort are much more beautiful than the photos reveal. Our room was modern, clean and spacious. The heated pool and billiards room were great! And the hotel is next to a very picturesque lake. The only drawback was that almost none of the staff spoke any english. We wanted to book some spa services but could not because the staff could not understand or answer any of our questions which we found strange for a high end resort like this. In any case it was still easily the best hotel we stayed at during our entire 3 weeks trip to Vietnam. Would come back to Dalat just to stay here again! Also very very close to Datanla Falls--the waterfall that you can take a rollercoaster to get to which was great fun.

Nice but need improvement”

Resort is located away from town, very nice location with easy access from main road. Highly recommended for couple or family who enjoy retreat from city life for a day or two. Pricing is good considering the location & facilities. Make sure you take time to explore the wonderfully scenery of Tuyen Lam lake. However, there should be some improvements: - Room is nice but sound insulator is bad. You can hear people talking & TV from the next room. Rugged floor is not clean enough. There was stains near my bed, look like HSK was doing a rushed job. - Free breakfast is fantastic but don't expect much when you dine in for lunch & dinner. Dinner tastes like after-thought, portion is small and expensive. - They advertised 2 restaurants but only 1 is operational, the french restaurant is still under construction so that's failed advertisement here. - Expecting lots of people in this resort. I stayed during weekend and it was noisy in the lobby & corridor due to many people.

Very good choice for new year ”

good choice for my family to celebrate new year, we prefer to enjoy tuyen lam lake view and terra Cotta offered the best choice compared to previous resort we stayed such Binh An, Anamara,....play round for kids, karaoke, bida, swimming pool, nice view around for jogging, walking...but just for people prefer to enjoy the view not the center
