relaxing environment, good base for exploring”

the hotel consists of 15-20 small buildings, each having 2-4 rooms, disposed around the swimming pool. a night-lit running track encircles the site. the hotel is on the road to the airport, very close to it (free ride to/from), but a good distance from the city (baht ride). there is nothing of interest immediately around the hotel, so it is mainly a place to relax, or a base from which to go explore the (beautiful) region. you are going to have to rent a scooter or car to go to chiang rai, or pay 2x250 baht for the roundtrip every time you go downtown. i found chiang rai fairly boring, dead after 9pm, so i would not see any benefit to booking a hotel downtown. the "superior" room was very enjoyable: large, quiet, clean, well ventilated. the bathroom only had a shower, but that's fine with me. the safe was large enough for laptop + cameras + stuff. the breakfast buffet was the best i had during my trip to thailand. good choice and quality. the staff is friendly and tries hard to help, but some of the pretty desk ladies only have very limited english speaking skills (but a lot better than my thai).

Road trip”

Teak Gardens was a beautiful hotel with clean comfortable rooms and a very attentive staff. On site restaurant and nice pool made for a great stay. I would recommend to others and stay again next time in Chiang Rai

Beautiful Resort In Decent Location”

The Teak Garden Spa Resort is a nice resort with natural beauty near the airport. The staff are very nice and helpful. The pool area needs a bit more cleaning and maintenance. They should prohibit smoking in rooms. It would be nice to have a small fitness center there. The breakfast was pretty good. I enjoyed my stay here overall.

Love the Teak Garden! Never crowded even when full, good breakfast, great ambiance, nice rooms, pool is great, grounds are great, nice run/walk trail, wish they had a real fitness center, wifi available in lobby area but wish it was better in rooms. Still can't beat this place.

Beautiful hotel, quiet and not far from airport”

We decinded to stay here during our trip in Chiang Rai. The hotel was very beautiful with natural surrounding. The room was setup in the old style of Thailand. Our room was big and very beautiful with all facilities. My family love the swimming pool of this hotel cause there have a kid swimming pool too. We booked the room include with breakfast. Everything was good just only there don't have enough choice for breakfast buffet. whatever, we will return here as soon as possible on our next Chiang Rai trip.

Clean and comfortable”

This is my 2nd time at Teak Garden Spa resort. Have noted the place is still maintained properly after a year . Unlike other hotels, i noted this hotel room has many windows and i can get fresh air and good view of garden / swimming pool. Improvement areas - a) Breakfast can be further improved by providing warm food and more choices. b) Since the hotel is abt 20 mins from night bazaar, it would be great if the hotel can provide free shuttle for tourist to /fro the night bazaar. Overall a good hotel.

Airport Accommodations”

This is an awesome accommodation for if you are using the airport, arrivals or departure, but there is nothing else in the area to do if you do not have transportation. The staff here are very helpful. The resort is huge, has an incredible huge outdoor pool, provides breakfast and is very beautiful. There are a lot of birds, butterflies and geckos. You also see some amazing sunsets from the hotel vantage point. There is a shopping mall only a 15 minutes walk down the road (left, as you leave resort), it has a lot of shops for clothes, electronics etc, a movie theater, lots available. It also has very inexpensive and good eat-in or takeaway dishes in their food court, helpful if you are spending a few days at the resort and have a fridge in your hotel room. It also has a Big-C grocery store where you can stock up on cheap food, clothes, beer, household items, toiletries, everything. I enjoyed staying here, but wished I had had transportation.

I loved staying at Teak Garden. It's a bit far from city but the hotel is fantastic. GREAT facilities, a really wonderful bathroom and comfortable bed. Break had many choices which made it fun!

Exceptional”

The hotel is conveniently located near the ChiangRai airport. Getting a Grab to the downtown district is no big issue at all and the views are magical...rice fields at your back, clean air and the sounds of nature...a perfect place to relax and reconnect away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast buffet is awesome and the room service is nice. Very quiet resort and though, they struggle a bit with English, the staff are very kind. I definitely recommend it and would revisit this hotel again.

Nice Transit Hotel”

we only stayed overnight while passing through chiang rai. the hotel is right next to the airport, which means that it is far away from the city centre. the hotel offers taxi relatively cheaply to take us to the night market and pick us up 3 hours later. nothing really stand out, a stock standard hotel next to the airport

It was nice, the beds were a bid hard for most foreigners, the bathrooms were very nice, the internet was not working well. It would have been nice to use the spa/Jacuzzi and coffee shop that were advertised. But we saw they were not in use. (that could have made some good money for the hotel!)The food was good and the location excellent.

Good room”

Large room. I would strongly recommenced this hotel. It is not so far from Cheing Rai airport. It is quite place and convenient for tourist.

Close to Chiang Rai Airport”

The pros for this hotel is that it is very close to the airport and has a free shuttle. The cons are that is quite large and feels very impersonal. Also, because it is so far away from the city there are not many restaurants nearby. The shuttle was late leaving which made me nervous. The rooms were ok, but I have had more comfortable rooms in Chiang Rai for less. I think next time I have an early flight I'll book a place that I like better and for less money.

Great stay”

We have a larger family them most people in Thailand. So we have learned to take extra bedding for our young children. Some hotels change extra for the anymore then two children. This hotel did not charge extra. The rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was fun and the breakfast had a good variety of Western and Asian dishes. Overall it was a relaxing stay.

Nice resort ”

This resort is very close to Chiangrai Airport. The room is quite large, very clean, and the staffs are friendly.

Good for an overnight stay ”

Booked this hotel as we have to catch a eary flight out to bangkok. The hotel rooms are pretty big and it reminds me of the Thai massage rooms. Beds are on raised timber floors. Rooms are in 2 storey villa and the feel is pretty resort like.

Conveniently location but no noise - very good!”

We booked 3 rooms here at the last moment after we found that the hotel we had originally booked was not suitable. I booked from my smartphone whilst already in the car park and walked in with the booking reference. The staff were excellent and quickly arranged for 3 rooms together. The rooms were excellent and very spacious, but a bit of a walk to the main building. We ate at the restaurant (which was empty) and the (Thai) food was fine. Breakfast the next day was also OK, although I had to ask for freshly cooked eggs as the ones at the buffet looked like they had been there for several hours and were cold. This happens frequently in Thai hotels but I always find that they are happy to cook fresh eggs if asked. Overall good value and conveniently located close to the airport but without any noise.

If you are looking for a place to break your journey, this place is an ideal. The room is very good size and comfortable. Breakfast is good, not many western choices but acceptable for the price I paid.
