We stayed overnight at Tawan so we could avail of the Elephant Wake-Up and Full-Day tour with them and it was definitely one for the books! The room was clean and spacious and the weather was great so we could leave the AC off and just relax and enjoy the view of the grounds and elephants roaming around. There were lots of options for the buffet breakfast as well and their riverside restaurant had a lot of food options too. Would definitely return again with friends and family next time to experience it all over!

A must go for seeing the elephants”
The staffs are very helpful and thoughtful. We forgot to ask them to help us book the taxi and when we finished the all day activities, we were told the taxi driver is already there waiting for us. Elephant wake up and all day activities are absolutely recommended!

We enjoyed our stay here and we're so happy to learn and experience the elephant care. Staff are all pleasant and easy to talk to :) We're hoping this will not be our last visit.

Lady boss was accomodating”
The toddler totally enjoyed the elephant visit 1500baht, though we went for breakfast and by the time we came back with the elephant already waiting at our hut hahahahha! The elephant caretaker was sweet and took so many photos for us without expecting tips. It was a bliss just hanging around our hut and balcony looking at the elephants walking past with their babies. Not to mention we could see a bit of the mountain tip at certain angles. Just be careful with young children due to falls, especially while crossing the metal bridge in the dark.

I was there to celebrate my birthday! It was really an amazing stay and experience especially with elephants. Food is okay however i hope they can improve more the food choices. All staff are nice. Room is worth the price. Room is simple but clean and comfortable. I would definitely return with my husband next time. 😊

The staff is all friendly, helpful, and pleasant. The place is tidy and clean, even if you are with the elephants. Perfect for family, especially with kids. The foods in the restaurant are exceptional. I will definitely come back again.

This place is incredible! The staff go out of their way to make your stay perfect. My advise to anyone staying there is make sure you get an air conditioned room. It is extremely hot and humid and you will definitely want A/C. And when you do the elephant adventure be sure to ask for Daniel!

This stay was short bc I knew there wouldn’t be much to do in this area. We split our time and stayed here for 2 or 3 nights only. It was very peaceful and something we will never forget. The Staff were wonderful and the elephants were gentle giants. Such a great experience. My 3 year old loved it.

Tawan Riverside is a definite must visit in Chiang Mai. The staff are great! The food are all delicious. Room is awesome with a great view. And the elephants are definitely taken cared of. They are happy and playful. Will go back again.
