We so love Debretts Taupo. I can't praise the staff enough on their kindness and professionalism. We had a travel delay and they went out if their way to accommodate us and make sure our group was happy and felt special. We are more than pleased. Thanks team!

Will definitely come back again”

The resort is in taupo, with plenty of family cafe or fast food stores not far. Plenty of child play facilities and hot spring spas including private pool and water slides! We bought three days pass using guest specials and we literally keep coming back day after day, and my son loves it! So relaxing.

Excellent location, view, and facilities”

While it's a little further back from Lake Taupo than other options, the elevated view and amenities are wonderful. We stayed in one of the chalets and had a spectacular view of the lake from our room. The chalet shares a wall with another room so be mindful of noise (both from yourself and your neighbour). We didn't get to use the spa but we would have loved to try to hot pools - excellent onsite option to have.

Great stay with hot springs ”

Liked this place. Comfy stay, clean rooms, spacious and car parking available. Right at the hot springs in taupo which is natural hot spring water but the pools aren't very natural feeling/looking. Its half price for people staying in the accommodation which we thought was a but of a rip off but its only $11 for adults so we payed it and it was nice to soak in the pools although very touristy. Staff were lovely. It's a bit out of town, about a $15 cab ride or 40 min walk to the main strip of cafes. Would stay again.

Comfy and Cosy”

My family and i really enjoyed our stay in the Deluxe cabin, we were only there a night and wished we could have stayed another night. It was a nice and quiet relaxing stay thank you Debretts, Taupo

Close to hot spring to soak”

The staff was friendly, provided suggestions and details of things to do around Taupo. The view of lake, mountains and close proximity of the thermal bath, we're why we chose Taupo DeBretts Spa Resort.

Exceptional”

Booked for a standard cabin with ensuite and expected an oldish cabin but we actually got a 2 bedroom cabin with ensuite and it was modern and very clean. Had everything we needed and the cabins were really warm. Definitely kept us warm in a very cold weather. Had enough space for my 15 mnth old bub to walk around while inside. And the cabin we were staying also overlooking lake taupo. Staff were friendly and never had issues.

Good stay in Taupo”

We spent one night at the resort, we got informed about a technical issue under resolution for which we received a free upgrade to a more comfortable room than the one booked. The room was very clean, modern and offered all facilities e.g. kitchenette with dishwasher and microwave. Would have spent more time at the resort and spa if we had the chance.

Clean & comfortable”

We had a 2 bedroom cabin for the two of us so had plenty of space. The cabin was clean & well equipped for self catering with an excellent shower, though I could have used an extra blanket. The resort is about 3k out of town (we had a car) and caters for a mix of travellers. It was a bit noisy near the BBQ & facilities block but the $2 wash & $2 dry (lasted ages) is a bargain. The spa was great in the evening (a bit pricy even at $11 for guests so try to find a coupon) - we only stayed half an hour for the two evenings of our stay & slept brilliantly. Staff were really friendly & helpful.

Loved the fact that while accommodation was modern the whole debretts felt like stepping back in time to family trips as a child..something I hope never changes

The hot-pools were great as usual, the place seems to get better every time we go, super child-friendly, peaceful, safe. DeBretts is a guaranteed good time.

Overnight delight”

We spent one night at DeBretts and were very happy. The staff were friendly and helpful at check-in and room was reasonably spacious and clean. Everthing for a longer stay was provided and it would be a great spot to spend a week or two. Only possible negative was the location being a bit out of town but the wonderful mineral pools more than compensate for that.

Fantastic stop over”

A quick stop on our way to the South Island. We had a small cabin. It had everything we needed and the hot pools were a nice way to end a long day. Loved it and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Taupo

We feel that the use of thermal pools should be part of staying at DeBretts. We were very happy with our cabin it was comfortable, clean and warm and we very much enjoyed our stay. Thank -you.

Very pleasant stay at DeBretts. We had a problem with our original booking and the staff kindly upgraded us to better accommodation at no extra cost. A great "can do" attitude that will win them customers. A variety of facilities for people on different budgets and the hot pools are great :-)

Next to Hilton and 2km from Lake Taupo CBD”

It is about 10mins drive from Huka Falls. We book the family apartment with bathroom, there is a full kitchen available and it is good for family cooking. Countdown is at CBD which is 2km away. The spa pool is great but need to pay NZD 9 for kids and NDZ 11 for adults. It is good after a tiring journey and great for the kids. You might not see the signboard of the hotel if you from Hukka Falls. It is the same entrance to Hilton Hotel.

Exceptional”

We had a two bedroomed chalet for a night. This was one of the best self-catering places we booked on our holiday in NZ. It was well equipped, provided tea/ coffee etc. in the kitchen, a washing machine etc. The layout of the chalet was good and its location excellent, set on the hillside overlooking the lake. Never used spa facilities, so cannot comment.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

What you need! ”

We are a whanau of 6 - we can get a room to comfortably accommodate us all and swim and bounce and chill out away from home in a clean carefree space together for a great price! Its our preferred accom in Taupo
