Wonderful place”
I booked for 2 days and I have stayed 10... :) Very kind and helpful staff, nice view of the river from restaurant and a few rooms as well, free to use fidge and thanks to the river very cool climate. You will enjoy your stay for sure. They don ´t have restaurant as there is no need for it. Just 1/2 minute of walk there is a plenty of bars, restaurants and 7/11 round the corner, I even didn ´t put my notebook to the room while going for beer as I was back in 4 minutes. For meals I recommend Maylee restaurant which is very close - when entering the main street turn right and walk for a 2 minutes. If you like really spicy foods ask for May - "Madam spicy", and for Pad ki mau. She speaks good English.

Nice location on the river”
Tamarind is a nice property close to lots of bars and restaurants, but enough off the street that its quiet. Its located on the river with a nice decking area to sit and watch the water go by. The bridge over the river kwai is not too far either. Rooms are clean and the staff friendly

Location is perfect, walking distance from train station, plenty of food around. Easy to find from the street. The raft house is floating on the river with a stunning view. Don't miss the sunset! Staff very frieindly and helpful. Gave me directions whenever i needed to go. Walls are thin and not soundproof, but that's understandable in a floating house. If you plug in european plug into electric outlet (i.e. laptop charger), it pushes the light switch nearby and light in the room or bathroom turns off and can't be turned back on. Small detail but annoying. A/C in the room is good and silent. Room and bathroom clean. No mosquitios inside. . I would absolutely stay there again.

The location of the guesthouse is great and near most things. The room on the raft is great and worth the money. The only thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the bed, it was rock solid! I would recommend checking out the bicycle cafe for food, one of the best burgers I have ever had and quite nearby.

Second time ive been here and enjoyed as much as the first. The location of this guesthouse is amazing not far from the main road(1 minute walk up the lane)but far enough off the main road to avoid the noise. The views of the river are incredible and the atmosphere around the place is so relaxed and peaceful. I stayed in the new rooms on the raft for a couple of days and then moved to a room with a river view and balcony and would recommend both. The staff are really friendly, helpful and courteous. The lady that runs the guesthouse is probably one of the best hosts I've had,always smiling and very helpful. I will definitely be returning here again in the future.

I mistakenly booked the room for the next night the staff was kind and understanding and changed the booking date. I booked a floating room but none were available a day early but the room they gave me was quite adequate.

Good location and Friendly staff!”
I had two nights in Kanchanaburi and stayed in this guesthout one night. Best of all, the location is in the center of downtown. My room was overlooking the river so the scene was very romantic. In the morning I saw some of guests went fishing just in front of the rooms. Next to this guesthouse, there are Mart, pharmacy, restaurants, many bars and massage shops. If I visit Kanchaburi again, I will definitely stay in this guesthouse.

The Tamarind Guesthouse doesn't have much in the way of facilities but it is clean, comfortable and cheap. Everything you need is s very short walk away. This is my second time staying there and I will stay there again next time.

Love the view, thought the rooms have wooden flooring the other people renting the rooms were quite generally quiet after 10pm. Rooms are clean, sunset and sunrise on the river is great

Nice place to stay”
Everything was good, no complaints. There wasn't a lot as far as facilities but anything you wanted was just a minute walk out to the main road. The 10 Baht drink bar is on the Soi corner....fun time.

Excellent raft accommodation”
Loved staying here. Extended our stay here from 2 to 4 nights. Basic room but a/c worked well and good shower etc. Location is great with unbeatable views along the river and birds, butterflies and monitor lizards for company. Right in the heart of the best bars and restaurants on the street. Within walking distance of railway station and cemetery and short taxi ride to the bridge. Watch out for mosquitos outside room. Repellents work well.
