I stayed 8 full days at Talay Time and would certainly chose it again if I return to Koh Mak. The location is PERFECT! Right on the beach at the southern extreme tip of the island, isolated and utterly silent except the crashing of the waves on the beach right off your porch. The staff is wonderful and helpful. There's a nice drive to the place through the jungle. There's air con, hot water, a nice restaurant, and unlimited bottled water free. I'd only suggest an chair inside and a fan, but maybe by request (I never asked). Do yourself a favor and book here!

Beautiful, quiet, cozy gem between Sunset and sundown”
We have spent 4 nights at this lovely place and really had a great time. The people who are running the resort are extraordinary friendly, Kind and helpful. Our beach cottage and the whole Resort was absolutely clean. No bugs or spiders could enter the cottage, there were mosquito-nets at the windows and additionally a net for the huge and comfy bed. The food was also very good! I absolutely recommend the phantastic Mango-shake. Some other people complained here in ratings that the resort is too far off the beaten track. I don‘t agree. We rented two e-bikes with which it was very easy and much fun exploring the whole island. Of course you can also rent scooters or take a taxi which brings you to any place/beach on the island for only 50 Baht per person. The resort is also closed to the Ao Nid pier. There are hammocks and sunbeds for relaxing and although there is no sandy beach, swimming and snorkelling is very fine. We definitely recommend this resort and Koh Mak in general.

very good 👍”
Surprisingly no mosquitoes and sandflies. Very quite and can snorkel out from the beach. We rented the motorbike from Talay time and rode all over koh mak conveniently. Nice breakfast and the food at restaurant always taste good. We felt like home and looking forward to staying there again.

Excellent, value for money, in a peaceful location”
The best place to stay in Koh Mak; quiet and peaceful which is very suitable for you to relax and refresh. The location is excellent; the bungalows are right on the beach so you can hear the sound of waves. The owner and all staff are friendly and helpful. I really recommend.

New premises”
New nice hotel with friendly staff. Seaview. Functional restaurant. It is not located near sand beaches, no sand flies like other locations in Koh Mak have. But if you like sand beach, you have to rent motorbike or take a taxi.

Excellent”
We had a lovely stay at Ta Lay Time. Our house was really clean en nice and we also had a lot of privacy and a sea view (the sunrise is beautiful). You can also rent a motorbike at the resort which is nice. Koh Mak is a small island and really easy to travel around by motorbike. The staff is also super nice and helpfull. They helped us booking a boat/taxi and also provided us good information about the island.

Beautiful and quiet”
The location of this resort is very beautiful, at the very south tip of Koh Mak, so the only noise you'll hear is birds and the waves crashing on the rocky beach. While the snorkling is supposedly great, the waves we got on the days we were there made for poor visibility. The staff is very nice, with our hostess speaking fluent English. The food in the restaurant was good, but sadly of a bit varying quality. While the cashew nut chicken I got the first night was amongst the best I've ever had, the garlic and pepper pork was quite mediocre, with stringy bits and cartilage. We rented the "Deluxe Bungalow with Fan" (No AC). While the bungalow is new and very well made, with spacious rooms and a nice porch, they are made from concrete, which makes it very hot to be inside them between 11am and 4pm in the day. If you're planning on being on the beach or doing stuff this is of course no problem, but if you're planning on chilling in the bungalow, you should rather choose one with AC.

Amazing place”
We had an amazing stay at Talay Time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was perfect, just a few metres away from the sea and facing east so we could watch the sunrise every morning from bed. The location of the hotel is quite far from anything else on the island and a bit secluded. However, taxis are cheap and so is renting a motorbike so the quiet location wasn't a problem for us. I'd definitely stay here again.

Natural and quite place.”
Cheap price when compare with other resorts in Koh Mak. Not far from Ao Mid Pier. You can rental motor bike for go around the island at resort. Can see sunlight from your room. Breakfast was no bad. A bit unsatisfied thing is about the water pressure was weak sometime.

Best part of Ko Mak”
This hotel is a gem in Ko Mak, family run and just the most peaceful place you can find on the island. On the southern most tip of Ko Mak. Quiet, breathtaking view, beautiful grounds. Amazing value!! Thank you!!

Nice place, good value in Koh Mak”
This resort is located on the far end of Koh Mak, which isn't really a big deal because Koh Mak isn't a very big island. It's very quite and chill on this side. Also, we stayed in 1 of the newly built bungalows so everything was brand new. I'd recommend it.

Secluded Homely Bungalows”
This place is remote by Koh Mak standards although nowhere is too far away if you hire a bike. The food is good particularly for dinner. Breakfast was included however it was not an option just what was served. It doesn’t really have a beach however you can swim off the rocks.

Nice and quiet”
We spent 5 calm and relaxing nights in talay time! Staff helpfull, beautiful atmosphere and clean rooms. It is a little far up from the village so we recommend to rent a motorbike in talay time. Seems to be a good deal for the price you pay on ko mak.

NIce, friendly, and basic resort.”
We had a nice stay at Talay Time. We had a simple fan room, that wasn't fancy. If you want a good bed, clean room, and a nice shower, in a lovely, remote environment Talay Time is the spot. I loved the more isolated location on the water. They do have aircon rooms, but we were just there for a night so the fan room was suitable. It's a small operation so you can get to know the owner. I would be happy to stay there again. It's a nice resort for the money.

Amazing time spent in such a cozy and quiet seaside house”
We spent more than 2 wks (Jan26-Feb11, 2017) here to have enjoyed a wonderful time. The resort here was very quiet, we could only hear the wave, birds, insects, but no other man-made noise. There was always big lizard staying at the upper corner of the house, and suddenly "saying" something in loud voice day and night, all the above made us feel deeply dipping into the real nature. The houses are built very closely to the sea, that brought great sound of wave every night into my dream, which was so spiritual experience! The owner of the resort, Miss Sweat Heart (we all called her this) and her family, the father and the mother, were so nice to us. They provided us a lot of valuable information on how to enjoy this island, and the history of the island. Sometimes they also gave us some delicious cakes! The food here is made all by the family members, the taste is good, better than many local restaurants, however there is not many choices probably due to lacking of kitchen staffs. The houses here are very clean! The floor is made of marble. I pretty like the French windows at some of the houses. Every house is facing the sea view! We saw sunrise in bed almost every morning when there were not much cloud. Restroom is also quite clean, which gave us pretty good and relaxed mood everyday. For the 40 sqm sea-front bungalow, there is one small room behind the major room, with back window and back door to the garden view. I cooked water to drink tea, and put Coke to the refrigerator. Because here the electricity load is quite expensive to the owner, I would plugged the power off whenever I did not need to use the refrigerator. You may also cook in this back room, but we did not, hope that next time we can. In most rooms (I have stayed fan-room, bungalow, and sea-front bungalow, 3 types of rooms), it is wonderful that the electricity power plugs are available besides the bed place! Open the front door, just five or six big steps, you may reach the edge of the sea shore. A

Beautiful quiet location. Super helpful staff and absolutely stunning sunrise. Absolutely recommend!”
The place suits a traveler who are looking for a genuine place. It's run by a wonderful woman how makes sure everything runs smooth. You can rent a motorbike to get around the island, since some of the islands gems are a bit away. But, staying at Ta-lay time is perfect if you want some privacy to retract to.

Exceptional”
We (me and my 6 year old son) stayed for 10 days. For us it was one of the nicest accommodation on the island if you are looking for relaxation, rest and seclusion away from the tourist masses. Rent a motorcycle right from the owner and get everywhere on the island in max. 25 minutes. Sleep in with hearing only the sound of the sea and the jungle, wake up with viewing the beautyful sunrise from your bed. No sandy beach but a small stoniness cove wich is very nice for swimming and snorkeling during flood (bring swimshoes). The food in the restaurant is very good. The owner, her family and the staff are all so lovely and helpful! We had a bungalow with a well equipped kitchenette. The bungalow was very clean and had good mosquito nets. If you want a cleaning during your stay you have to give the key to the reception, wich was the perfect solution for us. We can highly recomment and would definitely come back!

Good if you want To be in the middle of no where. I'd say it's romantic. Bar isn't great. I didn't feel like the staff was very helpful coordinating my ferry ticket. Ko Mak is beautiful though

Peaceful”
I stayed here for 3 nights and I enjoyed a lovely peaceful stay. The location is a bit far out so you would be best to hire a bike but I just used taxis. The rooms are huge and all face the sea, it’s wonderful to watch the sunrise in the morning. They have decking and sunloungers too if you wish to sunbathe and there is steps leading down to the sea. It’s quite rocky so best to use a float to get you out to sea if you’re clumsy. Food was amazing and I loved the breakfast. Staff were so lovely I throughly enjoyed my stay
