Nothing to complain for a hotel at this price range”

Location was great, it's directly opposite the famous Macallum Connoisseurs Cafe (which open daily till 12am). For any coffee lovers you can literally walk across the street to this cafe in less than 10 seconds from the hotel parking lot. One thing I always look for while searching for accommodation in Georgetown is the availability of in-house parking as it is a headache for finding parking on the street itself as most streets are busy with traffic. This hotel has it's own in-house parking and a pretty large one too, definitely will be able to accommodate all their guests so no worry even if you come back late at night after your daily wandering in the town. Plus point for the hotel room, it's spacious and cozy (they uses York aircond and it's one of the best air-conditioner brand around), nothing to worry even if the weather is hot and stuffy outside. I had two stays in this hotel over the week (2 different errands in Georgetown on back to back basis) and I have enjoyed speedy check in service on both stays even though it's during one of the most major public holiday season of the year. Kudos to the team for their effort and professionalism. The hotel location is great, it's located nearby most major tourist attractions in Georgetown, basically you make a 1km walk from the place it can land you either into Komtar / Kimberly / Chulia / Chinatown area or towards Clan Jetty / Armenian Street (where most mural wall paintings are) , depends on the direction you take. Google map will be handy and guide you if you decided to take a walk around Georgetown coming out from this hotel. They have ample power points in the room (last I recall it was 3 or 4 in both rooms I stayed in) so no worrying not enough port to charge all your devices. Room bed was comfy too, although for their double bed room it's actually using a combination of two single beds, nothing to complain about it. Worth to stay, helpful front counter”

I stay a lot hotel at Penang, this hotel surprised me, they got a lot parking bay, as you all know Penang is a places that difficulty to get parking your car, that make very convenient for guest who drives. And this hotel location are very nice you. If you able to walk that's fantastic for you to experience the views and street food, all were in walking distance. Night Market, Macallum Connoisseurs Coffee, Local market(Cecil Market), Shopping mall, Sia Boey Urban Archaeological Park, Penang famous Nasi Kandar Deen Maju, Chew Jetty, Presgrave Street Food are all in walking distance, if you wanna having supper midnight you can get the tomyam stall, Malay stall and 24Hour Nasi Kandar near there all in walking distance also. The front counter provided very well services, especially the Chinese guy, I forget his name, he assist us and explain to us patiently and nicely, when we come down late to have our breakfast he also make a very tasty toast for us. The room are huge, you can't get this kind of room below RM100, the bed also very comfortable, all their room having windows, the air-conditioned the hotel provided is individual every rooms, we can setting it like how we used normally at home. If your budget around 90-100, I highly recommend you must try to stay at this hotel.

Location Good ”

T + Hotel Macallum is a good location which surrounding with Penang hawker food which short walking distance . Although lack of facilities but location is nice . Near to Komtar , 1st avenue , Sri Weld . Opposite hotel there have two cafe during tea time . Although the park space is limited but still convenience because the person in charge will arrange the parking accordingly if peak . If the hotel maintenance still continue to maintain in good condition , this hotel will have their capability to attract more visitor to stay .

Great Hotel”

This is second time I visit to Penang, 1st time I stay at the homestay and it make me a lots troubles when I stay at homestay, the main problem is no places for me to parking my car, secondly nobody doing daily housekeeping nobody change the towel keep your room give me toilet paper, 3rd is we need to check-in/check-out myself, 4th is shared toilet. This time I make a good choices to stay at this hotel, all my problem solved. I like this hotel, the room were huge, services were nice, a lot parking spaces, daily housekeeping provided. Easy check-in and check-out. Friendly customer services. I am satisfied it. Don't stay at Penang homestay you will suffer as I have suffered. The prices for staying at this hotel were cheaper than staying at homestay, homestay got a lot hidden charges like cleaning fee, but they were not going to cleaning your room. And mostly near 80% homestay in Penang are illegal, they were not registered under ministry of tourism Malaysia. So be caution when choosing the right places to stay. I happy to staying at this hotel.

The room is clean and comfortable”

The room of the hotel is clean. The bathroom is big and clean. Cleanliness is always the first concern when choosing hotel, especially on bath room and toilet. T + Macallum has provide us a clean and tidy bathroom.

Great for short stays”

Pros: - Great location as just on the border of jammed areas. - linens smell fresh - good city view - spacious clean rooms, high ceilings - two elevators for quite low density - car park available thru most of the day, may be full late at night. Cons: - room is extremely dim with not enough lighting in the room as well as ensuite - staff speak extremely little and to the point. E.g. "check in here.name?" instead of "good morning welcome to t hotel and here is the check in counter" may be off-putting for some guests. - there is a surprise deposit request of rm50 at the counter during check in, returnable on check out. - fire escape stairways are bolted locked at the bottom. - visitors are not screened when entering the rooms areas. Lifts dont require keys to work.

Affordability and worth to stay!”

We strongly recommend travellers stay this hotel if you bring your own transport. It is affordability and worth to stay. Surprisingly, the room was clean, bright, nice and comfy! There are three shopping malls near to the hotel which are 1st Avenue Mall, Prangin Mall and Komtar. Only needs 8 to 10 minutes walking distance between shopping mall and the hotel. The hotel worth to stay with readonable price. The room was clean and comfy. We still will choose this hotel as our first choice if have second time to Penang

Love the Location & Car Park ”

Love the car park facility as this is crucial for us driving in Penang and lacking of car parks at Georgetown. Location is great. The air-Cond takes some time to cool the room as the room ceiling is higher. Do request for rooms facing inner and you will have a great sleep. We overslept till we miss the free breakfast 😉 would definitely come back again.

New budget hotel”

The hotel is situated at the centre of georgetown, and within walking distance to Komtar and First Avenue. Given the location and the sizes of the rooms, the price quoted is very reasonable, or maybe i would say is rather cheap as compared to other hotels within the vicnity. The room is well equipped with drinking water, toiletries and hair dryer.The cafe is yet to operate during my stay, however there are tea and coffee making facilities provided in the room. I would definitely recommend this and i shall visit them again if i were to visit penang again.

2 nights stay ”

We stayed 2 nights in Hotel T and it was quite a fair stay. The Goods: + Value for money + Minimalist and beautiful design + Clean + Good location, center of penang Improvement required - Our bed wasn't stable, so we had to put in papers to stabilise it - The hotel is facing roadside, so the noise level at night is kinda disturbing, advisable to take the non road facing room

Very good and highly recommended”

Good budget place and recommended if you are driving, since not all hotels in the busy Georgetown area would have sufficient parking spots for people who drives. While not in the centre of bustling Georgetown, it is near to eateries and easily accessible. There is a very good caffee place (within rolling distance) just opposite the hotel. No fridge though but that wasn't a concern for me. Clean.

T+ Macallum - Pleasant Stay”

Clean room & comfort bed with 2 pillows each person, kettle for coffee & tea, no mini bar, no safe box, bathroom dispense 2-in-1 shower gel & shampoo, but provide 1 packet of basic toiletries separately for Man & Woman, no F&B outlet but can just walk across the street a big & spacious cafe- Macallum Coffee to solve 3 meals. If turn back walk to the back 5 mins can reached an old local kopitiam - Bee Heong Wooi for chicken rice, porridge, prawn mee and nice local kopi-o. 10 ~ 20 mins walk to Komtar, 1st Avenue Mall. Sufficient parking lots within the premises. Only issue is the Bath Towel, after housekeeping, back to room no replace of new towel, need call reception to send in towel but was told towel not back from laundry yet. need waited for an hour or 2. Been noticing not the 1st time having issue providing towel. In another date earlier, late night check-in, at the reception counter, they been receiving calls for towels from other guest. After check in to the room found no towel too. Get more new towels to rotate your laundry in term for sufficient towels to replace on time after housekeeping. thanks.

Location great since 5 min away from city, on weekend the city is congested. Bed ok, toilet ok, but 1 thing that lacking is the internet is very very bad. Stayed in dorm hostel in the city of penang 1 day before which cost lower price, but they use unifi(very fast, and tge hostel is full of guest. Stayed in Taiping the hotel also lower price, the internet is suoerb

Very Good place with parking! worth for booking”

For who will drive to Pinang, this is the perfect place, I would like to say that we were lucky to book in this hotel as they provide parking, parking in Pinang is really trouble, everywhere we go parking is not easy, plus the location of this hotel is very near to many shopping malls which they are few minutes walking or driving. The cleanliness was very good, washroom was very clean with a water heater. Regarding the breakfast, it is very simple, but it is enough for the amount we pay. For the people who are looking for a fancy open buffet, I recommend eating somewhere else especially Pinang food is really good with very reasonable price.

Value for Money”

T+ Hotel Macallum is a value for money 3* hotel, clean, located at Georgetown. Toilet amenities are a bit lacking, the staff forgot to refresh the toilet roll and floor mat. Need some work on sound proofing. Overall ok for a normal budget stay.

Pros and cons ”

Hotel is new. Location is awesome. Opposite got a macallum cafe that suitable for chit chat and meet friend. Room is clean. Toiletries are provided with toothbrush. Air conditioner is cold enough. Parking space are a lot. The only strange thing is I saw a room's door is keep open and the guy stayed inside hanging his clothes out in the corridor door, seems like long term resident here. In the midnight, few Malay guys keep finding the guest staying opposite of mine. Making noise here and there.

Well enough. New hotel and facilities are still in great shape. Clean, comfort and cozy room. With that said, sound proofing of the room can be better because you may hear roadside vehicle sound proofing given the hotel is located on the alley way between main road. Yet this also may turn into pros for location on easy access and connectivity. The other downsides are slow wifi and limited parking spaces. With that said, it’s still value for money with this pleasant accommodation judging from the perspective of price per night and the helpfulness customer service.
