Excellent ”
Sylvia resort was perfect for a short beach escape. Great staff who always greeted us with smiles. The manager spoke with us at breakfast and said to let him know if we needed anything. The landscape was pretty and well maintained. The room was large enough and the bed was a super sized king! The arrangement of the bath is comical but it works. Our a/c was not working well and the staff came, took it apart and it worked great. Breakfast was wonderful and the lunch/dinner menu had many choices and was reasonably priced. Service was extremely fast. The outside patio for dinner was nice. The pools were clean and there were trees for shade. The beach was clean and there were chaises with shade or sun. WiFi was weak. Room had a refrigerator and safe. All the rooms had a porch that was shaded and had chairs and a table. The reef was a little disappointing but good for beginners; swim out to the buoy.

Best hotel I've stayed in my whole life!”
Sylvia is the perfect quiet getaway for those looking for a staycation like me. It has very clean beach with crystal clear water, private hill, breathtaking sunset. Three clean pools, faucet to wash the sand and sunbeds all around the property, two harbors, and some wooden swings. You can also rent canoe, bicycle, snorkel, speedboat. Oh, affordable shuttle to/from airport and to/from the city center. The food is nice, the staff are so friendly and helpful. They took care of me when I got stung by sea urchins, helped me take my picture knowing I was alone, and lent me pool towels to lay around the beach once I checked out. Sylvia is owned by an Indonesian, one of very few properties in Labuan Bajo to be so. It also hires local people instead of importing workers from Java. So if you want to empower local community, this is the hotel for you. Overall I can't recommend this hotel enough!

SUNSET EVERYDAY! SNORKLE STRAIGHT AFTER BREAKFAST! IT IS HEAVEN!!!”
This is like a unicorn hotel!! So rare to find!! They have EVERYTHING you need to enjoy a holiday: 1. Good price 2. Clear amazing beach with lots of corals and fish (free!) 3. Two pools with a kiddy pool 4. Sunset every evening!!!! 5. Restaurant with reasonably priced food (not one of those crazy hotel prices!) 6. Walking “along to beach’ distance to Plataran Komodo resort (where you can have a spa massage by the beach) and Atlantis restaurant where they serve amazing food (it is a posh restaurant so they are not cheap- but you are on holiday so treat yourself!) 7. Great staff (they speak English well) and so helpful 8. Easy transport to town (25.000 rupiahs per person) 9. Clothes rack where you can hang your swimmers and they will be dry in 5 minutes 10. No mosquitos!! We were outside watching sunset for hours without getting bitten (ok, maybe once) but that was it! One tiny downside: They seem to always run out of food during breakfast (or maybe I am just a pig)

We actually got engaged here last week! We loved this hotel. Quiet just a 10 min drive from the main town and we had a bungalow type room. The rooms were clean, big and the bed was very comfy. The food was nice at the restaurant also and we loved the beach! And you can hire kayaks from them.

Nice resort, good beach, clean, stuff ”
Hotel recovering from pandemic, not too many tourists. Good breakfast, nice beach, good room, internet was okay. Only little problem with toilet flush, sometime water start to stream after few minutes after you flush, and you must go there and move the flush button or something to stop.

Great facilities and very affordable”
Located around 5 km from center of Labuan Bajo city, this hotel is side by side to the Waecicu beach. You will experience nice sunset at the hotel. We got a bungalow with all wood floors and the bathroom was very spacious. The hotel very suitable for families with children and couples too. You can rent snorkeling equipment, canoe, and many more for a fair price. If you want to go to the city to grab something to eat, go to the harbour or want to go back to the airport, the hotel offers cheap price for shuttle (only Rp 25k per person/trip). You will enjoy all the facilities here and clean beach at your stay.

This hotel is quiet old , not like new hotels, but the price very cheap compare with the facilities. The hotel have 2 pools, can for child, and have own beach. You can play canoe, the beach very clear at morning. The food delicious. For the price they offer for me is very very cheap and have alot benefits.

Great Place with a couple of niggles”
The staff are great, friendly and helpful. The rooms are excellent, super clean and simple. The location is really good away from LB on a nice beach. The food is good and sometimes excellent. Only negatives are the beach isn't always kept clean and after only one day it can be covered in washed up plastic items. The exterior and facilities need some care and attention, e.g. broken tiles, snorkeling equipment, etc. There is constant music from the restaurant. We don't like that but maybe people some do.

Beautiful location and exceptional staff ”
We are a young kiwi couple that spent 1 week at Sylvia Resort, exploring Flores Island. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our stay. The location is absolute paradise, with incredible sunsets, warm crystal clear water, and beautiful trees and gardens. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made our stay exceptional, by constantly smiling and going out of their way to help you. The restaurants food is very basic, but we were pleased with the wide selection of buffet breakfast options each morning. The grounds of the resort were kept absolutely spotless and the whole place had a beautiful atmosphere, we would love to come back again!! Thank you so much to the entire team at Sylvia Resort!

After bistrip trying to relax at the beach was the best experience I had while staying in this hotel. There's lack of door key for the garden view room, and weird standard for breakfast when request a sunny side up, but I enjoyed so much staying for 7 nights.

Exceptional”
Really beautiful private beach and two nice pools. The beds are also huge and it is the best shower I’ve had in about 4 months of traveling (great water pressure and sooo much hot water). Biggest complaints are A- There’s only WiFi in the restaurant so it did not reach our room which was inconvenient when we needed to order flights B- My boyfriend tried to go down to the restaurant and order me some food because I had food poisoning from the day before we arrived, and it never came until I called an hour later. Turns out our door said we’re room one but we were actually room 8 and some how they charged us for each order anyway. Not huge dealbreakers but it was really frustrating as I was really sick.

Great stay, amazing beach, value for money”
It's located on beautiful Waecicu beach. My family of 4 stayed in deluxe sea view rooms, directly facing the beach. The beach is calm and clean. You can do snorkling right in front of your room 😁. For 3 star hotel, this hotel is really value for money. Spacious room (although a bit awkward bathroom lay out and power switch position), decent meal from restaurant, beautiful surroundings. Only the light in the bathroom is too dimmed. Thank you sylvia. Would definitely come back and recommend to our friends.

Beautifully located with the friendliest staff”
The most amazing beach - especially for sunset and not at all busy. The staff are so so friendly and helpful that it really lifts your mood. The rooms are basic but very comfortable and have everything you need. The location serves as a great base for exploring Komodo. The restaurant offers delicious local dishes as well as pizza, burgers, sandwiches.
