Lovely apartments, fantastic, friendly service!”

We loved everything about Pounamu Apartments, the only downside was that we didn't book enough nights there! Very friendly service, the staff were so helpful and just lovely. It's a nice easy walk into town and the rooms, linens, bathroom were all so clean (VERY important to me). The bed was lovely and comfortable and the room was warm. Loved the dvd library too! Amazing value for money when booking through Agoda, we paid the same and more at other places on our trip for much, much less. We'll be booking at Pounamu Apartments when we go to Queenstown next!

what a choice!!”

we were in queenstown for a snowboarding holiday and lucky for us, picked the purrfect week for it...the remarkables and cadrona were very good. checking in was a breeze and leo went thru all the amenities available. the balcony view was awsum and its a short stroll (15 mins) to town, if u so desire... i guess the only caveat would be the 2nd room in the apt....if you have a group of 4, that room is fine, but if you are a couple, if another couple is in the 2nd room, they are within the same apt, but with a door that jkeeps the 2 areas separate...its a bit weird, but i finally just paid for that room to avoid any privacy issues. all in all, the snowboarding and the pounamu apt stay was excellent...will definitely stay there again next year,

Nice Hotel Not Far From Downtown”

LOCATION: This modern hotel is located off NZ Highway 6A and about a 10-minute walk from central Queenstown. GETTING THERE: This hotel adjoins Highway 6A and overlooks Lake Wakatipu. If flying into Queenstown, one can take either a taxi or Super Shuttle. A taxi will run about NZ$35, while Super Shuttle is NZ$20 for two persons. STAFF: The staff here is very friendly. I was able to get information from them on central Queenstown. If traveling to the airport, the hotel will call a taxi. ROOMS: There are different sizes of apartments offered at this establishment, with some of them overlooking the lake; others face away from it. My wife and I got a studio apartment, which did not face the lake. It came with a large bed, two end tables, flat-screen TV, and a desk and two chairs. It also had a kitchenette - indeed, one of the smallest kitchenettes I had ever seen - that came with a coffee maker, toaster, refrigerator, various serving and eating utensils, plates and bowls, and a microwa

Excellent view, good apartment space, well equipped, close to city”

Stunning views of Lake Wakatipu. Cosy, warm room, comfy bed and very nice bathroom!!! Fantastic fireplace with full kitchenware. Only downside is the stairs from the carpark to the apartment as there was no lift and we had to carry up the luggage. I truly enjoyed my stay at Pounamu and will definitely go back the next time I visit Queenstown.

Panama Apartments was awesome. The design and layout of this apartment is simply unique. The view out the large glass window of the Lake Wakatipu and the mountains were stunning. Everything you need in the kitchen is provided and if you want to, you can even bake in here. The apartment is about 10mins walk away from Queenstown Central. Recommended to walk as parking is not easy in town. Apartment is clean, looks new, fireplace was awesome, bathroom does not have a full-size tub but i does just find. There is even a computer and printer provided at the work area in the apartment for your to print out itineraries and stuffs. Whatever you need, you'll get it here. We got a 1-bedroom apartment which cost are $390/night. Might seem high for the budget traveller but if its your honeymoon and you want to splurge on a room, THIS IS IT. Worth every cent. And also not forgetting the staff. They were friendly and more than welcome to accommodate you to book activities in Queenstown. Highly recommended. Very impressed.

Highly recommended for long stay”

The place was fully well equipped and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Large apartment, perfect view with everything you need. Perfect and close to everything ”

The room was great, small however, had everything we needed. Close to the lake and it only took us 15 minutes to walk in to the city. The provided us with gluten-free option for breakfast which was great. Would definitely recommend Swiss - BelSuites

Spacious suite with gorgeous view of Lake Wakatipu”

Not cheap but comparable to other upscale properties in Queenstown area. Walking distance to center and it's not a boring walk with Queenstown view. Unit is fully equipped with everything if you want to cook. Only downside is its closeness to the street, the heavy traffic can be bothersome when you just want to enjoy your morning coffee on the Balcony.

Good place to stay but something weird??”

Definitely they need to raise up the checking standard on room facilities. I've stayed 3 nights in 114A at Queenstown. 1. I don't understand why kitchen extractor hood the circulation system will circulate back in apartment, it's cost smell no matter I cook the breakfast with ham & egg only. 2. the kitchen waste machine which under the sink is not function, I've tried to plug in and out the socket still not working. 3. No frying pan in the apartment (is it normal?? That's is weird) 4. The warm up system in bathroom a malfunction. 5. The black book (instruction guide) was missing facilities page, please check room carefully when guest check out. This page is very helpful for next guest check in!! The good things in the room. Good location very convenience to go to Central city. Very spacious with living room and bedroom. Bedding is cozy and clean. I love the fireplace, it make room get warm very quickly.

a hotel with all facilities”

The location is not far from the center and you can walk to the center while parking your car there. What I like this hotel most is that it has everything, not just a clean room with all modern facilities but also a washing machine and dryer in the corridor. I did some trekking around Queenstown and it is very convenient to get my dirty clothes washed and dried at night.

5 Night stay”

Stayed 5 nights the room was awesome it's a home away from home, kitchen, sitting room, hall way with computer, shared luandry room, bedroom is separate which I love and the view was absolutely stunning it changed everyday I arrived and it was ranning then the next day we saw snow on top of the mountains. I love that the airport is 15mins and the queenstown central is 10mins great location. It would help if the reception staff had more knowledge on places to go and how to fix the computer they couldnt help me find the bus stop for pick up of an activity I almost missed the shuttle be cause she didn't know the area. Taxi ride to hotel is a rip off you are better of catching the local bus.

Definitely nice room and view”

My first time to Queenstown and I check-in quite late upon my arrival (due to flight delayed). Reception was closed but I did find the key effortlessly :) And what’s best is the hotel assigned me to a room which is right above reception so that I don’t need to carry the luggage in the dark! Cosy, warm room, comfy bed and very nice bathroom!!! Good layout with huge window. Was told that there are USB and charger nearby the table but found none. Anyways reception swiftly find me a charger the next day. Everything was good and I especially love walking around the apartment and along the road / by the lake. Do recommend this place to anyone going to Queenstown.

Well equipped”

Stayed in one of the small studio rooms which are around the rear of the complex , no view but a lovely quiet room well away from the very busy road at the front Small kitchen area and no cooker so don’t expect to cook anything except toast , loads of great cafes and restaurants in town The beds are superb and we slept like logs , bit of a trek into town if you walk but plenty of parking in the Queenstown car parks at fair prices Would stay again

Amazing stay”

I would 100% recommend this accommodation! We stayed 6 nights and were upgraded to a suite with a balcony, which we were so grateful for. The suite was so clean, with everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen etc. And the view is absolutely amazing!!! The staff were very friendly and very helpful. You can also ask reception for a gym pass in town, the gym was awesome with a large variety of equipment and very friendly staff. It was a 10 min walk into town, however it is a pleasant walk. The breakfast basket is very basic and I think you would be better off buying food from the supermarket and cooking it in the kitchen. There is an allocated car park for every room, which is extremely convenient. We will definitely be staying there again if we return to Queenstown in the future.

Stayed in studio/condo, cheapest rooms in queenstown that I could find on short notice, were 175/night that particular day. I guess I could have bunked it out at the backpackers, but anyway. Nice rooms. For people who like to travel expensively. The condos seemed to be next to larger condos, so like an extra bedroom for kids for a traveling family. But they were the size of a standard hotel room but stocked with cutlery/plates/bowls. No stove/microwave, but grill outside if one gets ambitious enough to cook a meal. I've seen reviews where people complained about the views of this condo as well as the shower/tub. The view wasn't of the lake, but it wasn't terrible, especially of the night sky. The bathroom was really nice, no problems. The staff were really eager to sell packages/trips/planes/helicopters/etc. A little too eager to the point of informing us that it is dangerous to drive to Milford sound because of the risk of avalanches. We drove to Milford Sound, staying in Te Anau along the way. Would be a long commute by car from Queenstown to Milford, 4h each way and up to 2-3h on a boat. Might be handy if you're flying to the sound. Anyway, I won't likely stay here again just because I like to rat it out, as my significant other liked to say. This ain't a place to rat it out. Too rich for my blood!

Wonderful stay”

We took 2 of the 2-bedroom super suites as we are travelling as a group of 4 couples and had a lovely view of Lake Wakatipu. The apartments are fully equiped with ensuite bathrooms for both rooms. It is clean, spacious, comfortable. We loved that we could do our laundry and cook breakfast at the apartment. We stayed for 5 nights. We had such a wonderful stay here and would definitely return if we visit Queenstown again.

Friendly staff”

It was a good experience in Pounamu despite there were many reviews saying that the studio was very small with a very small kitchen area. We did not cook a lot so it was not a problem. Color matching in the room was my cup of tea. It was clean and modern. What made our wonderful stay in the apartments was the friendly staff Ro. We booked the hotel on wrong dates and Ro kindly assisted us to make arrangement to change the date. Over the phone, I mentioned it was our honeymoon. Upon arrival we were greeted by a nice view out of the window and special chocolate for our honeymoon.

This was an excellent place to stay in Queenstown. The staff were all amazing! Check-in and out was quick and easy. Bus stop right across the street. Ten minute walk to town center. Clean, modern apartments with free wi-fi. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are cleans and new.”

I got the small room, since I am a solo traveller. The small a bit small, but the facility inside is quite nice and new. I didn't enjoy all the walking up and down the stairs when getting into my room, but that seem to be common in Queenstown. This hotel has very good bakery good for breakfast.
