Althought the building is not that big and extravagant like its brother, my stay was pleasant and the breakfast they served had good options. The lobby was beautiful and the staff was very helpful.

I have always been returning to Swissbell Inn when visiting Medan. Staff are very efficient, friendly, respectful and informative. Excellent security with only card access to each floor according to the room allocated. Great housekeeping staff. Very close to many main city centre attractions and, of course, food! Cheap laundry service behind the hotel for traveller on budget. Got a friend to move from other hotel to Swissbell inn and the review was similar Definitely recommended.

It's always been a pleasure to stay at Swissbell Inn Hotel while visiting Medan. Close to great street hawker stalls at Jalan Selat Panjang and Jalan Semarang. The room is spacious and contains all you may need. The down part this time was that the room was unable to reach temperature lower than 25 degrees which is rather steamy in the room. I could not understand the staff when inquired. So, I managed with sleeping in minimum layers. On another note, I wish there was system where some matters could be handed over to the incoming staff so that information/ questions can be followed up without the need of patron repeating and following up all over again with the responsible party. Otherwise, everything else is satisfactory.

Breakfast offering at this hotel is declining in quality. Not as good as before pandemic. But at night, on the back of the hotel there are food stalls that offer many kind of local favorites Chinese food and well known street cakes. It's always been a good choice for me.

Clean room but no windows (good for short stays). Room was not fully sound proof but there was not much noise coming from the corridor. Toilet is clean and spacious, good hot water pressure. Staff is responsive and polite. For the price paid, it was overall value for money!
