quiet place, good value for money”

We arrived at Phu Quoc after travelling through Laos and Vietnam for 3,5 weeks. The price for hotels/hostels/bungalows on Phu Quoc are more expensive, compared to vietnam. But a good invest and compared to phu quoc the price was really good. The Bungalows are located near the beach in a quit area. The owners are super friendly and helpful. they lived in germany for many years and they speak good german. I thinks thats the reason why many germans like to stay at sunshine bungalow. you can get a good breakfast at near restaurants for ~60k Dong (Omlette+Baguette, Coffee w milk). it takes 1 minutes to get there, maybe 3 minutes to the beach. we usually used the sunbeds of hotels located there and were never requested to pay anything. the rooms are super clean and the quality of the bed, aircon and bathroom was really good. its really quit and we could sleep very well. The shower was the best we had during our whole trip. You can reach the "maincity" of Phu Quoc by Taxi within 10 Minutes for 35-45k Dong. The laundryservice was good. Many restaurants and bars are located near the bungalows and the beach was great! On our last morning we were invited to have a cofe with the owners and they managed the traffic, as our taxi was stuck on the road. Great owners, even better if you can speak german. I would recommend this place for a trip to phu quoc. We will book again, when we come to phu quoc again.

Great place, amazing owners, wonderful stay!”

I stayed for 6 nights in late April. This place is relatively new, so all of the rooms have new furnishings (bed was super comfortable!) and modern amenities such as flat screen TVs, ample wall sockets for your phone or tablet and excellent Wi-Fi. There is a beautiful inner courtyard which is meticulously maintained by the owners, with chairs and a table for each room, and is a pleasure to sit in late in the evening or when you want a break from the beach. Room was cleaned everyday and left spotless (as someone here noted – not a grain of sand!). But above all, what makes this place really special are its wonderful owners. It is a family owned business (which already makes it much better than the larger corporate-run resorts on the island), and the couple who runs the place is incredibly charming and kind. The wife always greeted me with a smile and assisted with whatever I needed during my stay, and they dealt with me honestly and graciously. One thing worth noting - Sunshine Bungalows is not directly on Long Beach (the main stretch of bars and restaurants on Phu Quoc), but is literally a two-minute walk from it, although I would choose it any day over the area's other beach-side places. I highly recommend Sunshine Bungalows, and thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Perfect stay - a fantastic place ”

Sunshine Bungalows are a perfect place to stay on Phu Quoc. A great location, 2 minute walk from the beach, restaurants and bars (including Rory's Bar). There are free sun loungers to use on the beach if you ask at reception and they provide beach towels. The family that own the place are incredibly friendly, happy and helpful. They cannot do enough for you. They gave us free mango while we stayed too. Rooms themselves were very clean. We were lucky to be upgraded to a triple room so even bigger than we thought. Shower was lovely and hot. They do not provide breakfast but lots of options open nearby and there is a little shop onsite too. We wouldn't stay anywhere else on Phu Quoc if we returned.

A Great Place to Stay in Phu Quoc”

We were looking for a relatively budget place to stay in Phu Quoc and I stumbled across Sunshine Bungalows during my search. We were so glad we booked here, it was exactly what we were hoping for and at an unbeatable price. The location of the bungalows is wonderful (a quick walk to the beach and loads of bars and restaurants in the area), the staff was super friendly and always ready to help us, the room was spacious and they even had a mini mart at the front of the hotel for basic necessities (i.e. wine and ice cream). We would gladly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great, basic place to call home during their getaway in Phu Quoc.

Excellent stay with nice and generous host”

I can not agree more with other good comments about Sunshine. I picked Sunshine base on 3 things: flowers everywhere, style of the furniture and recommendation from previous guests. The middle aged couple who run Sunshine is so friendly and helpful that made me thiink We were staying at home. Every night they creat a cozy conner to invite everyone passby enjoy some glasses of wine, relax, have fun talking to each other and make friends. I definitely will come back to Sunshine if I have a chance to go to Phu Quoc again

Convinient ”

The Vietnamese owners lived for a long time in Germany. The small garden as well as the rooms are very tidy and neat. The small shop at the reception is very convenient. Walking down to the beach takes 3 minutes on a paved path with little traffic. Even manageable when walking barefoot. There is construction activity in the neighborhood but one can not escape that nowadays in Phu Quoc as new Hotels seem to be build everywhere. I have certainly earmarked the Sunshine Bungalow as a place to come back to in the not too distant future as I live in Saigon.

A quiet, well located place with super helpfull staff”

We stayed in Sunshine Bungalow for 5 nights. The place has clean, quiet & spacious rooms, cleaned daily. It's located 2 minutes away from the beach with plenty of restaurants nearby and 10 minutes away by motorbike (or taxi) from the town center, where the night market is. It offers services such as laundry, motorbike rental (great price & good quality of the bike) and has it's own store that was open pretty much all the time we were awake, so we could buy water or snacks even late in the evening. The biggest asset of the hotel was however it's management. Duc & his father, who run the place were super nice & extra helpful. They would assist with anything that we needed, give helpful suggestions, always smiling. Duc speaks good English, his father speaks German. It was simply extremely pleasant to stay at their place. Thank you guys!

A GREAT STAY! ”

Highly recommended for those who seek a quiet and surreal place to rest while travelling. Sunshine bungalow is located conveniently 5 minutes walk away from Long Beach and a roughly 20 minutes cycle away to Dinh Cau Night Market. They helped us to arrange a tour to the South area of Phu Quoc, which costs only less than SGD 15. Visited the famous Sao Beach and such. Totally love the days spent over at Sunshine Bungalow. There are nice food around the place too!

Excellent! Extremely friendly family.”

We loved our stay at Sunshine Bungalow. The room was clean, and came equipped with towels, a safe, hair dryer, and toiletries. It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and the main road. You can also get to Rory's, and other restaurants, very easily. We spent 6 nights here, and could have stayed longer. The family that staffs this hotel is extremely warm and friendly. They are thoughtful and were quick to bring out water or fruits if we were sitting in the common area. They also had our taxi waiting ahead of time when we were ready to leave at 5 AM. Outstanding service, something that you would expect in a 5 star hotel!

Great bungalows near the beach”

Stayed for 5 nights while in Phu Quoc and had a great time. The bungalows are about a 5 min walk from the beach and surrounded by places to eat and drink. The family who owns the property were very friendly and helpful (always willing to answer questions, make suggestions of places to eat if needed and quick to call a cab).

Great stay in Sunshine Bungalow”

I stayed in Sunshine Bungalow with a group of friends at the start of January this year. The rooms were great and the beds very comfortable. The staff that run Sunshine Bungalow are great, it is a family business. I would highly recommend Sunshine Bungalow.

Cute motel for low budget travelers”

Sunshine Bungalows was very clean with kind and attentive staff always willing to assist. The room was very basic. The bed and pillows were the normal SE Asia super firm. The shower was in a tall bathtub with no curtain or door and it was impossible to shower without getting the polished tile floor wet and very slippery and dangerous. The beach is a 2-3 minute walk away which is nice. There are a number of resorts right on the beachfront who refuse to let non registered guests use their sand or even their water. We were told to leave a couple of spots in front of resorts even though Vietnam’s beaches are all supposed to be public. It was an issue and we felt quite unwelcome on the beach., which was no fault of the bungalows, but something travelers might want to consider.

Warm home in beautiful island”

The Sunshine bungalow has good decor with flower and trees. As its name, you can enjoy the sunshine in the garden that makes you feel so fresh. The location is good, 5 minutes walking to the beach. The owners are very helpful. the convenient store right outside is very good, you have everything and dont have to go far away. Worth to stay!

Friendly staff, beach nearby”

We felt very comfortable in our bungalow. The rooms were made everyday but the sheets had some stains. 3 min foot Walk to the Beach. You can rent a scooter for 150.000 vnd to discover the island or going to the night market (5 min by scooter). We had a small incident with our lamp when we tried to turn it on, there was a Short circuit. Luckily nothing bad happened except some black stains at my friend‘s hand, still a bit dangerous. The best part was the friendly family who owns the place, very helpful and welcoming. For this price range, I would highly recommend this place.

We stayed here for 10 nights, and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful when needed. 1 minute walk to the beach and a few restaurants nearby. Phu Quoc is a very laid back and chilled location.

Great accomodation”

Lovely small bungalows in an overgrown corner near Long Beach. The owner and his wife are very nice people speaking english and german. It's easy to realize, that they take good care of their property. It was very clean, just as the rooms. There's also a small store at the front we're you can buy water or other things. The walk to the beach is about 2 min and although there are many private beaches there is a comfy, cheap restaurant at the end of the road where you can enjoy your time. Also the hotel is in a good walking distance to many nice restaurants. Would definitely reccomend!

Great little set of bungalows”

I selected this location based on Agoda reviews and loved everything about our bungalow. Quiet, near the beach, the owners hospitality, and especially the canopy of fragrant flowers beside and above the walkway to the rooms. I hope to return again so One!
