Birthday treat for 3 Days on Koh phangan..a luxury treat”

We took the catamaran ferry over from Samui and stepped into the peaceful haven of Summer Luxury resort...huge airy modern room .A bathroom almost as big...staff great , restaurant gorgeous ..Pharoah spa really good....one complaint ..no beach but we walked to the sandbank and wallowed in the warm sea. Great deal on agoda ....5stars for cheap... They also made a fab birthday cake with sugar roses for me and all the staff sang ....really thoughtful.

Worth it!”

Great staff! Enjoyed the design of the place. Spacious rooms. Really yummy food from the restaurant (though the breakfast buffet, while good, is comparatively limited compared to other resorts we've stayed at). Nice pool. Get there early to secure a good place to lounge as it can get busy. My wife loved the spa treatment. By the sea, but not a beach you'd hang out on, but you should know this going in if you read all the reviews. Will definitely visit again when I'm in Koh Phangan for a couple of nights.

Flawless”

Good central location, beautiful grounds, spacious room, incredibly friendly staff, delicious food in restaurant, beachfront. Like most of the beaches on this island, it’s too shallow for swimming but beautiful. The access road and hotel are parallel to a mangrove forest, which means lots of wildlife but also the road is rough and muddy when it rains. If you are comfortable driving, and you have to be if you want to move around phangan, it should be no issue, or if you just stay in the resort, and you could happily do that. People with no vehicle who want to get around a lot should probably avoid this island anyway, although I’m sure drivers could be arranged。Amazing resort, highly recommended!

Was looking for my getaway paradise, found it!”

Perfect pool for kids and adults (no umbrellas so no shade in the pool so take good protection for your kids), great room (bathroom can be slippery, only rain shower, and stage under bed a bit dangerous if not cautious), Very reasonable restaurant prices and food is good, amazing gardens and layout, easy transportation in/out the hotel, 5min from the ferry at Thong Sala, definitely my new getaway place for week end!!! See you soon!

Stunning resort with excellent service”

The rooms are stunning and the pool area is beautiful, surrounded by really comfy sun loungers. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The place really has a high end, quality feel. The only thing where I think they could improve is the food from the restaurant. They had a good menu and some dishes, such as the pasta dishes and local dishes were excellent - good portions and delicious. Whereas, other dishes were really disapointing. For example, the gnocci, whilst tasty, the portion size was tiny, the pizza was poor quality and soggy, and the Greek salad wasn't really what you would expect. It felt very hit and miss. Overall though I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Summer Resort & Spa.

Amazing hotel”

We loved our stay here, great value and ambiance throughout. Spacious rooms, beautiful decor, great pool and restaurant as well as amazing spa. Located between pier at Thong Sala and Haad Rin. Great resort to stay in.

The staff is the nicest there is...we've been in a couple of resorts in koh phangan including annatra and kupu kupu ... This one is the best the beach is not great for swimming but its amazingly beautiful...and the resturant is not that great but the staff is amazing and the breakfet is very good. We'll defiantly return next year

WOW love this hotel”

I loved this hotel so much that we came back to stay longer. The decor is quirky and the feel of this resort is amazing. The rooms are massive. The property is arranged well and loved every part of it - sad we didnt have time to do the cooking school. The spa experience is worth every cent, we had a 5 hour indulgent Honeymoon experience with one of their packages. It is like an Egyptian tomb and I loved how they have done the decor and we left floating... The breakfast and restaurant is amazing, and overlooking a lovely stretch of beach. We had breakfasts on the balcony and dinners on the beach - it was pretty special. Staff are beautiful and so welcoming (thanks Michael and the rest of your team) Cant wait to come back....

Unexpected luxury”

On an island full of low-budget bungalows with concrete beds, Summer Luxury Resort stands out. The room was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable and the view fantastic. The staff was very responsive and helpful, especially at the restaurant. I would stay there again and again.

This hotel is really everything you wish for and more! From the scenery (immaculate landscaping), the views, the rooms (did not want to leave), swimming pool, restaurant and for most the lovely staff! They did everything to accommodate you in a very good way. And they spoke English. And believe me, in Koh Phangnan they hardly speak English. Can't thank them enough for their service and joy.. We were going to stay for 1 night, but booked a night more because we loved it so much. Wanted to stay the whole vacay here, but left because of the Full Moon Party. One small thing is the beach. Unfortunately it's shallow during the day. But that didn't bother us too much. You can walk to a secluded spot with sand in the ocean ;-). And that made it special as well. Kap kun ka! Naomi

Very swish”

The rooms are stunning, the grounds immaculate, and all the staff amazing. Definitely worth the extra money to have the sea view rooms and we actually preferred to be on the top floor as it was much more private than the direct pool access rooms below. The only disappointing elements are the restaurant, no views from main pool, and the beach. The food in the restaurant wasn't up to much and the menu pretty limited. You're far better off walking to the main road and going to the small independent restaurants. Their food is amazing and so so cheap. The beach is really disappointing as is really rocky and as with a lot of the busier resorts, covered in litter. The pool area is brilliant but in the centre of the resort so surrounded on one side with hotel buildings and the other side is mangrove swamps. Would have been nice to look out over the bay. The rooms are cleaned daily and there is an army of ground staff constantly raking leaves and ensuring the resort is spotless.

Exceptional”

Pros: Beautiful design and acrhitecture. One of the nicest blends of modern hotel and beach that I have seen. Rooms are large and cozy The restaurant by the sea is one of the most romantic spot on the island. Wonderful food, great service. Exhaustive menu. Try the.poached pear in red wine. Albsolutely wonderful. The pool is amazing to laze around during the day with contemporary music. Had one of the best massages in Thailand at pharoah spa. Just a few minutes walk out the nearest Mart. The staff is very helpful and arranged for the pick and drop service at full moon party as well as transportation to and from thongsala pier. Cons: Not many. A bit far away from thongsala and haadrin but nothing a taxi or bike ride can't manage easily. The location is perfect as is.

Holiday in Koh Phangan”

It the best resort we had in the entire trip (including 2 other resorts in Koh Samui). It's a new resort and so everything looks very modern. The lobby is tastefully decorated and excellent. The staff were very friendly and proactive in asking and doing their best to fulfill our request. The bedroom comes with modern décor and very nice color combinations which gives me a happy feeling. One downside is that the air-conditioning in the bedroom is not cold enough. The air-conditioning in one of the bedroom we stayed was not working properly and even so after the technician tried to troubleshoot it. We decided to take up the cooking class on our last day of stay around midday and they somehow managed to make special arrangement for us to attend the class which only consists of 2 persons. The resort also provides transportation (including return) and entrance tickets arrangement to all the parties we attended. The most impressive experience we had was the food in this resort. The main chef is really great and very talented. We had all our meals in the resort for 3 days. Overall, it was a great stay for all of us and are looking forward to go back again soon but during one of the cooler month.

Wonderful Hotel, Great Facilities, Central Location”

The staff is amazing and the facilities are wonderful. The Pharoh Spa was excellent. I got the aroma jacuzzi, coffee body scrub, and aloe massage package and all of the treatments were great. The massage I got was one of the best I've ever had. The hotel's location is pretty central to everything however if you are planning to spend most of your time at the beach then the beach located in front of the hotel is not that nice and I wouldn't recommend it. However, we were able to rent a scooter and drive around the island to find better beaches for only 200 baht a day and it was worth it.

Good Hotel Poor Staff”

Pros Room: Big room, big bathroom, nice sitting area Pool: nice pool and nice layout area Breakfast: Decent breakfast selection Checkin: Easy and friendly Spa: Amazing Cons Room: Bed is super hard, house keeping never cared to pick up restaurant dishes outside room for days. We had to take it back ourselves Staff: some people are friendly/polite and some others are extremely rude and careless like “boy” in the restaurant. He was extremely rude and scary to guests Location: does not have laying area on beach. Not much of a beach resort. It is a bit far from main road so you will need to rent a scooter Staff: boy was horrible, night staff at lobby was horrible super careless and rude. Breakfast buffet: They let mosquitos fly all over the food Mix feelings about hotel. Could be great but needs major improvements

Exceptional”

We booked this hotel last minute and got a very good deal. The staff gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and made us feel very comfortable. The room was spacious and very bright. The pool area is beautiful and the beanbags give t a very relaxed feel. Breakfast was good and the setting was lovely. Unfortunately, there wasn’t time to sample the spa but the menu looks good. Would highly recommend!

Excellent”

Very clean resort, rooms are lovely and spacious. helpful and friendly staff. I had visited the pharoah spa which was lovely and good price compared to other hotels. I was a little disappointed about no beach access, a little path would be good. I would recommend a complementary buggy up to road especially after heavy rain.

Exceptional”

The rooms are super large and very comfortable. The swimming pool is awesome. The place is basically pure luxury. We wish we could have stayed longer. Only downside is that you cannot swim at the beach neat the hotel so you either have to book a taxi to go to other beaches or rent a motorbike (the hotel does provide that service).

Amazing stay!! ”

I have nothing what was not good about this hotel. The best hotel in Koh Pha-ngan. It was a lovely stay, big rooms, clean, the stuff is amazing. Like everything was perfect!! The breakfast is amazing, the best breakfast what I had in Thailand in this 5 weeks and the best stay. Thanks for the nice stay and a really good job for this hotel! Well done. Thanks a lot ass well to Lek the waitress, the food and atmosphere and service is perfect. Lek you’re doing you’re job really good!

Really nice new design hotel with big rooms, friendly staff and good food ”

Very nice stay. Can really recommend this place to others. Choose the beachfront rooms! They are really nice, spacious and clean. We also tried Salt Water cooking school which was great fun. Also recommended to do both cooking class and try the spa while staying at this resort. Very nice and friendly staff, lovely spa facilities and great food.
