Perfect stay for everyone”

I have stayed on this hotel every time I have passed Rayong. Very good location in city where you can walk around for shopping, LOTUS is just around the corner there you can find everything you need from clothes to restaurants. You have also a big electronic complex next to hotel with everything about mobiles and computers.When you need a nice a la carte dinner I highly recommend you to stay at Star hotels own restaurant who serve you both western style of food and of course thai food. I have tried restaurants in the area for nice meat and Star is number one, in my opinion. If you want local thai food you have a kind of food stall named Star Beer garden opposite the hotel street.There you find all kind of thai food, from not spicy to very spicy dishes. If you have time and power you can visit the very nice fitness center, included for hotel guests. A lot of machines for exercise and nice shower area and pool outside.

Relaxing Stay In A Centrally Located Hotel”

I had booked a Superior Room with request for a large bed and high floor via Agoda. Upon check-in, I had been allocated a room with twin bed on the mid 3rd floor. I was then informed that all Superior rooms come with twin beds. Agoda should have correctly reflected this condition on their booking page to inform customers. I was given Room 6634 which was in the same zone as Star Gym on the 2nd floor and Housekeeping would make the twin beds into one large bed which was fine with me. I headed for my room and was shocked to hear frequent loud thuds which were echoes of the loud thuds from gym users who had thrown their weights about in the gym. I could even hear the loud thuds outside my room as I passed by the common walkway. The receptionists Khun Kanyapha Rawanwong and Khun Thanida Chianglee were very friendly and helpful from the time I checked in. They heard my concerns of the loud thuds and changed me to room 6612 which was wonderfully quiet. They even remembered to get Housekeeping to make the twin beds in Room 6612 into 1 large bed. Khun Kanyapha Rawanwong and Khun Thanida Chianglee really impressed me with their friendliness and good service.The hotel is also well located as there is a huge night market, Tesco supermart and also a small mall. There is also a well equipped gym with a large pool for one to relax oneself. I enjoyed my stay very much at the hotel with its great staff such as Khun Kanyapha Rawanwong and Khun Thanida Chianglee and good amenities and will definitely stay at this hotel again should I be in Rayong City for my next business trip.

First time at Star”

After using another hotel in Rayong for a long time it was time to check if the grass was greener on the other side. It surely was. Star hotel will be my new home when in Rayong. Comfortable big size rooms, a breakfast that relly gives you the right start of the day. Lots of restaurants for evening dinner around and of course the night bazar. Add friendly and helpful staff to this and you have the complete pckage for a business traveller. This will work fine for holiday makers also. Generous pool for he kids or a morning swim. The is a very good option in Rayong. Full score from me

Star Convention Hotel in Rayong”

We stay in Star Convention Hotel for 4 nights. The room is big and clean. The air conditional is cold. The staff is nice and helpful. The Location is in Rayong City Center. Walking distince to Night Bazaar, morning market, Tesco Shopping Mall, ITC Mall and etc. The Hotel provide Free Shuttle Bus from Hotel to Central Plaza, Rayong Beach, Bus Terminal 2 and Passion Mall. The shuttle bus is running 3 times a day and you can also take the shuttle bus back to the hotel. The Location in Rayong is far from the Pattaya city and the sighseeing , attrations and shows are around Pattaya. We feel the transportation by taxi from Rayong to visiting Pattaya is costly. Star Convention Hotel is good for relax, holidays and eating for street food. We recommend this hotel to those want to relax for few days as the hotel is value for money.

Cheapest and most valuest hotel in town”

The room is incredible. The hotel also provides kitchen stuff and microwave for reheat your food. The location is fantastic. It is located in the city center which surrounded by morning market, night market, plaza and IT city. Breakfast is the best with variety of Thai, Japanese, Europian and Korean food. It has more than 30 kinds of food in a row. I would highly recommended anyone who come to Rayong to rest here. You will love this hotel as I am.

Definitely worth the money”

Room size was far above average. Quite aged hotel but very well maintenance and clean keeping this one so classic. Location was strategic, at the central of Rayong. It was surrounded by night market and fruit market where is dynamic and fun, but somehow looks a bit dirty. All hotel facilities were nice and clean. I liked such big fitness center, it was awesome. Buffet breakfast was stunning, with plenty of food served. Staffs were helpful. I accidentally dropped a bottle of milk splashed onto my room floor at 10 pm while housekeeping department was off the duty. I called for help from reception and they sent us a boy to clean it up. I did not ask for his name, but thank you!

A Great Hotel Worth Staying”

I had been a guest here on my last trip about 2 years ago and for this trip, I could see that the hotel had taken steps to improve. They had taken some branding exercise and I was greeted with a beautiful bedroom setup when U step into it which is aligned with their corporate colour I had chosen the hotel for its convenient location as I needed to travel to other areas of Rayong. Everything else was conveniently available with a night market, restaurants, Thai traditional massage shops surrounding the hotel. The hotel had a great pool for both adults and kids and also a great gym which was very well equipped for even hardcore body building fans. There breakfast spread had further improved with a wide spread of Thai/Western dishes and they even have stations for fresh Thai noodles and Western style ham and omelette. The staff were friendly and well trained in English to converse with foreign guests. It had been a wonderful stay and I look forward to being here on my next trip.

lovely hotel and great location”

this is a 4 star hotel with excellent in room service and amenaties including wifi. the cab driver in taking me to the hotel said it is "number one". i highly recommend it when staying in rayong.

Fantastic stay and great value”

The room was 40 sq metres with a separate shower and bath tub Tne staff are a mixture of Philippino and Thai ....everyone was very welcoming and efficient The gym facilities are the best by far that I have seen in a hotel and the buffet breakfast is excellent The hotel is next to the night market ...that was the only slight drawback because my room was on the corner overlooking a stage where there was a show ...it eas wuite noisy but finished by 10.30 pm so it did not bother me Next time I am in Rayong I will certainly stay here

great hotel pleasant staff”

value for money one of the best hotels i have stayed in. i have lived and traveled around thailand for 15 years and the hotel was for the price great. we were in the wing away from main hotel but reception was in wing and plenty of parking. a bath tub with shower and a seperate new stand alone shower. deluxe room had safe, fridge and free water. 7/11 across the road 24 hours. would stay again if i return to rayong.

Comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable”

We enjoyed our short stay at this hotel which was located only a few hundred meters from a large under cover fruit, vegetable, meat market. An abundance of great and reasonably priced restaurants and shops surrounds the hotel including a large IT shopping centre. Plenty of car parking and transport available. The gym (in their 2nd hotel next door) was extremely well maintained with an abundance of the latest machines - very clean and convenient with friendly staff to assist. The rooms were clean and not fitted with much furniture but were very clean, comfortable and quiet (even though a business convention was on during our stay) I will definitely stay here again - highly recommended for the price

Wonderful hotel!”

Our room was clean and spacious. The staff was very helpful and kindly offered us a free shuttle van service that picked us up at the bus terminal soon after when we arrived there from Bangkok. Our children (8, 7 and 5 years old) enjoyed the swimming pool very much. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! We would recommend this hotel to family travelers considering staying at Rayong.

All in 1 hotel”

It was a pleasant stay. The staff were nice. Check in and check out were fast. They had everything there and this is perfect. Swimming pool, bowling alley, night market, computer city. Central Shopping center is just a few minutes drive. This hotel is located in the main city of Rayong. Room is clean and big. Only negative is: a small number of ants were seen at the furniture and wall.

nice, clean central hotel very close to markets”

I stayed 1 night. I booked a standard room on special and it was a very good value for money. The location is central and right next to a food market and a daily evening market as well as star it centre and Telco lotus. Room service food was ok, nothing exceptional and of course a bit overpriced, but the service was fast and friendly. Room is spacious and clean, hot shower. As with every other hotel i stayed in Thailand - expect ants , but the are tiny and not too much of issue. There's restaurants, gym and swimming pool.i would recommend checking out the evening market, there's some yummy food to be had there, and cheap fruit . Would definitely recommend this hotel especially if there's a special rate available.

Nice location”

If you want a hotel in the city centre of Rayong, this hotel should be the one. The hotel is not as new as others in Rayong but if you consider a good location and affordable price, this is a worth choice.

Old style hotel but convenient”

Hotel style us pretty dated. It must have been glorious in the old days. Corner rooms are pretty spacious, so be sure to ask for that. A con of the old-style hotel is that they don't have enough wall outlets for charging. The staff told us that they already installed more outlets in the front facing rooms, so be sure to ask the staff for that. Rooms are clean and basic. Big selection at buffet line. Staff are super friendly. The location is pretty convenient. The hotel chain owns an IT center and a flea market with variety of street food next to it. You will never go hungry. 7-11 is just steps away from the hotel. If you don't mind an old-style hotel and can get a good price you're happy with, this is the place.

Nice Hotel”

This is an older but nice hotel in the middle of downtown Rayong. It's close to restaurants, shopping and the night sale. It was a good stay and the breakfast was excellent. The internet and television worked well and the bed was comfortable.

Central Rayong”

It’s located in the center of Rayong, in front of the night market and tesco. Spacious and most of all, the staffs are super friendly! The facilities are a little bit old but clean and very quiet. I would recommend especially if you’re there for business!

Great location and Huge Rooms”

Booking on Agoda allocates you the newer wing (Star Hotel 2) which is not as apparent as the original wing as the lobby is located on a 2nd floor closer to the Star Computer Centre. Nevertheless, the 2nd wing itself is quite old and its age shows, but it makes up for this by having reasonable rates and very spacious lobby, corridors and rooms. Also the breakfast provided is very good, wide array of food.

Great Hotel. Good Price. Great location. I love it.”

The room is equivalent to a five-star hotel. Although, it is a little aged, everything is well maintained. The room is large and more than enough for us two to stay. If you come in groups, the rooms can be adjacent and you can open the connecting door to the other room. The room is clean. We tried to check in early but the rooms were not ready yet. We get complimentary cakes voucher while we were waiting in the lobby. Thanks to the reception. I think we will come back again.
