"We had a 5 day break, we'd asked for an early check - on booking (which you have to pay for by the way) but still not get our rooms until 4pm. On checking in we weren't told where any of the facilities were, including where or when breakfast was, pool, gym etc. I had to keep asking throughout our stay. We also asked for a late check out (again you have to pay) but had to leave by 12noon. Regarding the food - there was limited choice and the quality is not the best, breakfast was again limited in choice and quality. On booking I'd requested gluten and dairy free options, however, on arrival at breakfast when I asked for these options, I was given a couple of small cakes (pre packaged) out of a box in the cupboard, and when I asked if they were gluten and dairy free was told they were gluten free but a shrug of the shoulders if they were dairy free! Appaulling service, especially if you have allergies, I will defininately not be returning or recommending Nhow to anyone - stay away!!"

"We had a great time during our week long stay. We ate in the Villa Massalia restaurant onsite our first night (reservations recommended) and our meals were excellent, service and attention were also wonderful. Before dessert came, we realized that we were falling asleep and they were instantly accommodating to take our desserts up to our room for us. On Wednesday, a week ago, the adjacent hippodrome had all day horse races and the view from our spacious balcony was like having a box seat! We had a car and parked it in the garage underneath and had a great time visiting Notre Dame de la Garde and other sites. We dined in Marseille and in some lovely nearby towns. We also walked to the nearby mall to shop at Carrfours a few times. We had a Nespresso Pro in our room, I always make coffee in our hotel rooms and it was by far the best coffee I have ever made in a hotel room. We would love to come back when the pool is open. "Sofitel is well located it's really 5 star facilities, bar restaurant and the view is superb.. Relaxing, Highly recommendable to family, Couples and Friends. "

"Our stay was comfortable but a little bland,we stayed there at the end of a 12 day stint in Southern France and were really in need of a pool and total chill out,however the pool and pool area could have been cleaner,our room which was comfortable had a T.V which had no english channels except the news on a loop and you couldn't get movies on demand,which normally we wouldn't care about because we don't go on holiday to watch T.V,but we really were in the mood to just chill and relax in front of a movie,so we found this really annoying and a little behind the times,not a terrible stay but really just forgettable. "
