Al Faro Cosmio Hotel
Busuanga,Busuanga - View on map
"Our stay at Al Faro was good. We really enjoyed the beautiful view. We stayed in one of the Bungalows with sea view. The only this you should know is that there is not much to do except from going Island jumping, Though that really was some beautiful trips we did. The corals on that side of Busuanga is the best. The hotel is far away from cities and noise. Al Faro is like a little quite oasis. Getting there is a bit expensive. It's cost 2000 pesos is you book the hotel transfer and 3000 if you choose the local taxi service. The ride is a 45 minute bumpy ride, but it was worth it. To get to the hotel you have to take a one minute boat trip. The hotel provides that service. To get to the hotel you have to climb a steep path way. We're recommend staying at Al Faro for 3-4 nights so you have time to see most of the beautiful islands. "

Palawan Sandcastles The Beach House
Busuanga,Busuanga - View on map
"My stay at Sandcastles was great! Loved everything. If you are expecting a typical resort: swimming pools, loud packed bars, gift shops, this is not it. But if you are looking to truly get away from it all, this is the place to be. Be reasonable, you are at a resort in the Philippines, you will have uninvited guests...mosquito net over the bed. Kayaking is a surprisingly offered activity."

Coral Bay Beach and Dive Resort
Busuanga,Busuanga - View on map
"my friend and i stayed at the coral bay dive and beach hotel in early february 2012. i decided to go there as coron is one of the new hot destinations in the philippines, less than one hour away from manila (where i now live), and has amazing wreck diving. i wanted to combine diving with some "surface" adventures, but we ultimately ended up spending the majority of our time diving. the day before flying back, we kayaked just off the resort beach and it was amazing. apparently you can see dugong (sea cows) frequently just around the corner from the resort, in the afternoon. we did not, because we went late, but other guests did. i think there are other attractions (island hopping, trekking), but if you are not into diving and staying for more than three days, i would probably suggest to stay on the main island (busuanga or coron) so that you have more places to explore. the hotel is simple but very charming. rooms are bush huts with hammock hanging outside. they are clean but without hot water. electricity runs at night between 6 pm and 6 am. the absence of air-con makes the adjustment to the hot temperature easy (there are fans in the rooms). my american [hint: air-con dependency] friend did not complain :d the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. they first checked us in in a regular room above the dive shop. i went to the reception and politely said that i booked a luxury room so the room i got was not what i expected. i was given a larger more comfortable room (in a cottage) in no time. i could really appreciate that. food in european and filipino. bread (real non-sweet european bread) is baked every day. i stayed only three days, and the variety over that time frame was good. you can always get one meat and one fish dish. this was helpful because the friend who was with me does not like fish. steve, the dive instructor is a delight. if you want to make a person happy, bring him mark and spencer milk chocolate digestives!"

Iris Island Eco Resort
Busuanga,Busuanga - View on map
"The place is beautiful, the views are stunning, surrounding corals nice. The room was very comfortable and clean, the infrastructure were good (a pool and yoga studio are in construction) and the food really really good! What is also special about this place is the story and concept behind. Spend some time with Frank, the owner and learn all about it. This is a great story and he is a super interesting man! We would definitely be back!"

Cashew Grove Beach Resort
Busuanga,Busuanga - View on map
"Cashew Grove is the perfect getaway if you want to spend a quiet, relaxing getaway in Coron. It's rated a 3-star resort but made me feel like it's a 4 or 5 star resort. It's located on the northwestern part of Coron island whereas Coron town (and all the famous island hopping activities are located) are on the southeastern part of the island so if you want to do the activities, skip Cashew Grove and just stay at a cheap hotel in Coron Town, as the transfer from Cashew Grove to Coron Town can be quite expensive and takes about 2 hours. But if you want a relaxing stay at a beachfront property, then Cashew Grove is an excellent resort! Getting to Cashew Grove is the hardest part. The airport is located at the middle of the island and the road towards Cashew Grove is bumpy, unpaved dirt road. There are lots of airport shuttles to and from the airport and Coron Town (where the roads are paved) but most of them are reluctant to take you the other way to Cashew Grove. The resort itself can arrange for airport transfers but it'll cost you P1000 per person each way. And if you wanted to transfer from Cashew Grove to Coron Town to do the activities, the transfer can cost you P3000 and up! What me and my girlfriend did (and is what I recommend to everyone) is to book your first night at a cheap hotel in Coron Town. That way, when you land at the airport, just pay the P150 transfer from the airport to Coron Town (they'll take you right up to your hotel). Then the next day do your activities and at night, pay the P3000 transfer from Coron Town to Cashew Grove. Your hotel at Coron Town should be able to arrange the transfer. Just ask. That way you get to do all the activities first, then spend the rest of your vacation relaxing! When we got to Cashew Grove, the resort itself is small with 11 cabins in the "bahay kubo" (hut) style. The small number of occupancy at any one time means that you'll be catered to by the excellent staff. The cabins are all beachfront and you can choo"

Huma Island Resort and Spa
Busuanga,Busuanga - View on map
"When we arrived in Busuanga, a staff assisted us right away to the van waiting for us. They gave us cold towel and bottled water. The land travel was one hour and boat ride was less than 30mins. And the moment we arrived in the island, they welcomed us with a song and a welcome drink. They then drove us to our water villa and we are pretty amazed with the view while riding the buggy. It was one of the most breathtaking view we have ever seen. It was that good! The room is so colorful and so comfy. The jacuzzi is already filled with water when we arrived which we enjoyed right away. The view while using the jacuzzi is again, so breathtaking. It was one of the most memorable vacations we had. We will surely comeback"
