"We had a pleasant stay. Good location, 10 minutes walk to Champ Elysees, many restaurant nearby, friendly&helpful staff. We booked Deluxe Double Room (blue theme) with balcony and it was quite spacious for three of us. Balcony had a lovely view to the city. Elevator a bit slow. Would come back. "

"We were in Paris for our Honeymoon. Great Hotel, very friendly staff and the room feels luxury. There was only one issue we had during our stay - When we first checked in into the room, there was some paper bags leftover by the previous guest. First thought that came to our mind that we were given a room which was occupied. We called the reception and immediately we were move to a new room. We were given some complimentary pastries and 2 empty champagne glasses - it kept me puzzled for a while why were we given the 2 empty champagne glasses? Was it supposed to have champagne filled in them? I guess they were supposed to provide complimentary champagne together with the pastries but they forgot. Anyway, my wife and I were not fussy about it so we did not contact the reception about the empty glasses. :D Overall it's a nice experience staying in this hotel in Paris."

"We had a really good stay at this place. We were just 3 mins walk from Champs-Elysee. There were lots of eating places - both cheap and expensive. There was a nice cheap Italian restaurant nearby and a few Doner kebab places. The rooms was of the old Empire-style decor which i really liked. Marianne - the receptionist was so, so helpful and her English was perfect in a place where speaking English is not too welcome. Place was quiet. Although you can hear neighbours on top walking as the floor is creaky but this was infrequent. Breakfast was simple but filling - there was not too much variety but i don't usually eat a heavy breakfast. We had two rooms - a double room and a family room. The double room had a spacious toilet. Funnily enough, the family room although large had a small toilet. It was rectangular and long so the toilet and the bathtub was squashed at one end. A large person would find it difficult to sit on the toilet. The elevator was small as usual but we expected that in a old hotel. "

"Delighted to share the experience of one of the very good properties in prime location of Paris, Hotel Balzac. With just couple of minutes of action, it was an excellent location, where one never missed any action in the heart of Paris, Champs Elysees. Our room was comfortable and quite clean. Staff was very cordial and prompt in their service. It was a good breakfast but the breakfast space was something that can be worked on as it is a small place right next to reception, which would be better if expanded. It was just a two-three minutes walk from the metro station and well connected to the entire town. Overall, a very good experience and would totally recommend it to all looking to stay in the heart of Paris."

"We were last minute booking for this hotel. When we checkin at the hotel, the receptionist told us there was system error and no room available for us. Therefore, we are transferred to Best Western Secret Champs Elysee Hotel. The receptionist reserved a taxi for us for this transit and the hotel paid the taxi fee. Good arrangement and the whole process didn't take us long time. We will recommend Best Western hotels to travellers to Paris."

"Loved staying at Hotel Mathurin, the Staff very helpful and pleasant, beautiful sitting areas through out the hotel which was great for us as we had a late flight and we were able to stay in the hotel after checkout for 3 hours waiting for our drive to airport. They gave us coffee while we waited and always with a smile nothing was to much trouble, this is so important when you are travelling and so far from home. So a huge Thankyou to all the staff at Hotel Mathurin. Our Room was lovely and also very comfortable. Happy to recommend this beautiful Hotel."

"Hotel is v central within walking distance to cafes , shops, supermkts and the Champs Elysees. Rooms r v clean, yet small (which is a Paris norm) we booked a privilege room. The room had bathrobes, slippers, coffee/tea maker and a mini bar. We even asked for an iron and got one for the entire stay. The staff at Concierge Dominique &:Patrice and another young chap were always cheerful & helpful, booking transportation, tours and giving good advice on Paris during the strike. The only drawback was that our room was cold and the wall fitted heater was not effective but this was immediately resolved and the staff brought us a movable heater, that kept our room warm. The cupboards are small so don't take too many clothes"

"We stayed at this hotel on Paris Marathon weekend. I chose it because: (a) it was located close to the start line; and (b) I wanted to treat my boyfriend and I to a romantic weekend away. Well, why not, when in Paris! The hotel exceeded our expectations! 1. The staff were excellent - very knowledgeable about the city, able to assist with last minute reservations, and friendly and professional. They even arranged for an early and special breakfast for me on marathon morning. 2. The junior suite was beautiful - it's unusual to be able to find a room in Paris that is larger than a box room! The suite was approx 40msq with a seating area, work area and an extremely comfortable kingsize bed. The bath was also a jacuzzi bath which was thoroughly appreciated post-marathon! 3. Location-wise - You couldn't ask for a better location. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to the Champs Elysee and therefore has easy access to all public transport systems (if you don't fancy walking)! We walked over to the Eiffel Tower and back again on our first day and then pottered down to Place de la Concorde on our last day. I really can't recommend this hotel enough! I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did."
