Fine dining restaurant just beside hotel and suitable for those lazy to go out for traffic issue. Nearby gurney drive, with both shopping mall-gurney plaza and gurney paragon. Great stay choice for vacation, outstation and gathering. Definitely will come back again, highly recommended."

"Our room and entire facilities were clean and very good value for the money.Boss and staff will very friendly,informative and helpful.This homestsy come with a big place that can fix up to 6 cars.The location alsovery good.Within walking distance to have lunch and dinner.About 5min walk to the famous Sleeping Buddha and Burmese temple.About 10 min walk to Gurney paragon and gurney plaza.The famous gurney drive food court also near to the gurney plaza only. Overall,I would recommend this place to stay and value to stay! "

"The hotel is a very good place, clean and comfy. Only 1 km to the Gurney Drive Hawker food stalls, very near to one of my all time favourite nasi kandar place in jalan burma. Grab also very accessible in this place. The highest fares that i paid for was only rm 19. But be reminded that you have to pay deposit of rm 100 but u will get your deposit back during your check out. Overall a very good experience. Worth the money."

This is not a hotel, is a personal properties that lent out like airbnb, so dont expect 24hr services like u get in hotel Good : Located in a very strategy place, near to gurney drive and george town. It might seen very far from penang hill on the map, but it is actually just 15 mins drive!! Room is super clean, it come with two room and one toilet. One room is attached with the toilet so it can consider is a shared toilet. Each room equip with fully functional air conditioner. Living room also got one air conditioner, super cold even in 3pm! The person in charge Uncle pang is a very nice person, surround the building got many parking but Uncle pang can reserve one parking for you too! Others : Microwave, fridge, Television with DVD player(No remote control for DVD player, so use ur phone instead. ) Bad : Since the toilet is a shared toilet, the toilet door should be can lock on both side, to protect privacy. The room attach to it cannot lock the door inside the room. The curtain of each room windows is drop down style, so it cant fully hide from outside, u can see through the room via the side of windows. Hence, privacy is not protected well enough. U can stick it to the wall by using tape though Anyways, I will still recommend to my friends but will recommend more if the windows curtain issue fix first!"

"the g hotel is an asset to penang. it has a nice and modern trendy decor with selection of designer pieces in the lobby. it has nice local touches like bicycles for hire and souvenirs including the penang sketchbook. and it is in a very nice location that allows easy access to the city (if you are driving) i stayed there only for a day when i needed to extend my stay in penang because of work. moving from another hotel in gurney drive the g hotel was a step up. the location next to the gurney plaza shopping mall (a nice modern and comprehensive shopping complex) with lots of choices for restaurants) was ideal for the family to do some shopping before we left penang. the waterfront is ideal for morning jogs and the hawker centre a hundred meters or so away is convenient for those looking to sample some penang hawker fare at night. the swimming pool was also very trendy with nice areas for children and wooden decks for those in pursuit of a sun tan. unfortunately the pool itself was not so clean. my daughter and i went for a swim and found pieces of plastic floating in the pool and the water somewhat murky. other than this i would still strongly recommend staying at the g hotel for those who can afford the slightly premium rates. "
