"This hotel is next to Mandela Square. The best place for who is visiting Johannesburg. The room is clean, comfortable, modern and the price is very good. Next to the hotel has a coffe very good to take the breakfast."

"We asked for a room on a higher floor since this was the last stop for our daughter on a family holiday. With the rest of us continuing to travel for two weeks we wanted it to be special for her. Raddison Blu surpassed all our expectations with an upgrade to the penthouse. Four bedrooms (all with ensuite), huge living spaces and fantastic views on three levels, we felt truly spoilt and did not want to leave. We had a dinner and breakfasts in the excellent restaurant, daughters enjoyed the superlative gymnasium and pool facilities (there is a running track around the inside of the building on this high floor) while the bar and the sports coverage were appreciated by son and husband. Radisson Blu is located in a safe part of Johannesburg (Sandton) and we happily walked the 10 minutes to the nearby shopping mall, shuttle buses brought us back after dark. We felt very safe and thoroughly enjoyed Johannesburg, our three nights was not enough - much to our surprise. The fabulous staff and lovely facilities would be available to all but the penthouse was a fabulous treat."

"Our stay was good but the hotel overall needs improvement. 1. There is no signage on the hotel premises/corridors guiding guests to the different hotel areas and the place is quite a maze especially as our room was right at the end/back of the hotel building. No emergency exit signs nothing. 2. Cleaning/Room make up services had to be requested daily which is inconvenient as most hotels have a daily set schedule for clean up in rooms that have been marked with the ‘make up’ card. 3. We checked in on New Year’s Eve and there was a ‘buzz’ around the hotel, which was ok as it was New Year’s Eve, However the noise levels did not go down even 3 hours after the countdown. "

"The choice of restaurant for linkage to the Raphael is poor. Dinner delivered as room service was cold, tough and tasteless. At breakfast, the poached eggs were served cold and had a tough crisp top I have never seen before. The coffee cup on my table ready for filling still had lipstick on the rim. I had to go looking for a waiter to get some coffee while two stood talking to each other within full sight of me. Not impressed."
