The Shells Resort & Spa - Phu Quoc
Ong Lang,Ong Lang - View on map
"Having toured the entire island and looked at all the hotels. I can say that Shells is the best value for a 5 star experience. It is located near enough long beach that you can easily go there. But far enough away that the pollution and noise of the area does not ruin the tranquility of your holiday. The beach staff, cleaning staff, restaurant staff and general support staff are the friendliest I have ever experienced. The service is amazing. The reception and staff that help with cabs/bags were OK. (not great, but also not bad). The cost of food and drink at the resort is very competitive. So you can happily eat there a lot and enjoy the resort. Gym/Spa is also not bad. Great swimming pool. The breakfast was also good. The food is well prepared and clean. The resort is kept clean. They do a really great job. You can charter a private boat for 5 hours from An Thoi to see the islands in the south (get there by taxi and get the taxi to wait for you - tell them to turn off meter, you can arrange that with reception of the hotel). When you arrive at An Thoi - the boat seller will approach you and sell you boat services. We paid 1 million dong for the charted boat for 5 hours for 2 people to visit the 3 furthest islands.. They asked for 1.2 million dong originally. (remember haggle) They will give you life jacket and snorkelling gear. Bring your own snorkelling gear also works as theirs is a little dirty. Also 100% visit Rach Vem. We had seafood (1kg of seafood) hotpot there for 300k dong - great meal/clean. For everyone info - local price of coconuts is 10k dong, 20k in tourist areas. Don't pay more than 20k. Please haggle for everything you buy. Foreign tourists should pay the same as Vietnam tourists. The beach at the resort and the island beaches you will visit is probably all the beaches you need to visit. A lot of the others have rubbish on them. The beaches on the south islands are the best - emerald blue. The snorkeling was ok, not super great. Probably Ph"

Chen Sea Resort and Spa Phu Quoc
Ong Lang,Ong Lang - View on map
"If peace and quiet, lazing by the infinity pool, eco luxury, incredible sunsets, great food and super service is what you are looking for, this is the place to stay. Please note: Chen Sea is not to be compared directly to La Verandas, it's like comparing apples and oranges. Chen Sea is an eco resort, and La Verandas a French colonial 5 star hotel. Consider your preference from the start! A good 15 minutes drive out of Phu Quoc town, this slice of heaven impressed us from the moment we arrived. Amazing guest service, incredible sea view with infinity pool and immaculate restaurant were just the beginning. The Sea View Villa we had was the closest one to the pool, super convenient! The beds were very comfortable, the semi-outdoor shower amazing, and the buffets - incredible! I believe that there was once a time that this resort was not so favoured, but a lot of hard work from Chef Haus and new owner/management has resulted in an absolute gem. The food and beverage is quite pricey compared to other hotels, but you must remember that you are quite a way from town and convenience costs! We organised a private boat for snorkeling the north of the island, which was the best thing I've ever done whilst traveling - complete freedom to do whatever we wanted! One trip into Phu Quoc town only makes you realise even more what a paradise Chen Sea is - the Night Markets are very small and non-eventful, especially when we had been in Siem Reap two weeks prior! It may have been our timing, of course, but to me it seemed that Phu Quoc is not about shopping, but sight-seeing. The best way to see the road less traveled is to hire motorbike tour guides to take you off the beaten track, up into the mountains to Buddhist temples and less frequented pearl farms. Personally, I cannot wait to go back."

Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc

"A lovely 4 day stay at Movenpick Resort, July 2020. Hotel has only been open two months - staff were excellent, hotel gardens, rooms and beach were clean. Rooms were a good size with a nice balcony overlooking the beach/sea. Comfortable bed and good to have bathtub and separate shower. Breakfast option were fine and quality of our evening dinner was good. A great pool area with plenty of sunloungers. We enjoyed the afternoon pool/beach enternatinment and the free chocolate hour from 4-5pm! Location is away from any village or town and a good 45 minutes drive from the airport (complimentary airport transfers to and from the airport are provided). "

Movenpick Villas & Residences Phu Quoc

"As a recently completed hotel, the facilities were up to date and good. And, above all, the friendly staff was good. But, due to the small number of restaurants in operation, meals at the hotel were not satisfactory during the Lunar New Year holidays."

Camia Resort & Spa
Ong Lang,Ong Lang - View on map
"We had a lovely time at the Camia Resort, the first hotel of our stay in Phu Quoc and definitely the right choice for us! Impeccably designed and landscaped, the huts are dotted along a hill and the beach bar/restaurant is right over the water with world-class views of the sunset. The breakfast buffet was the favourite of our trip. The 3 layered iced coffee was also the best - make sure you try it! The hotel is small enough to have a personal feel, which we loved. Very relaxing lounge section by the water (but no real beach). However, it's very quick and easy to get to Ong Lang beach (taxi). 2 complaints - they neglected to serve us a welcome drink. We were left there in the heat with nothing. The welcome drink voucher did not work for us, we would have preferred something lovely at the onset. The food at the beach bar is not the best. Some of the Vietnamese fare was ok or good, the pizza was not good. Rooms were gorgeous!!! Fantastic veranda with Hammock too!"

Ancarine Beach Resort
Ong Lang,Ong Lang - View on map
"Ancarine beaxh Resort is one of the best hotels I have stayed. The staff is so super friendly and also the manager of the hotel. We had a deluxe room with sea view and the room was so beautiful and very clean. The hotel is directly at the beach and the beach is so great. Further, the breakfast is perfect! You can chose your omelette or scrambled egg as it will be directly cooked. There is a huge choice of fresh fruits also. We stayed for dinner also at the hotel and the food is very good. We can recommend to try the seafood hot pot. So delicious! Further, the hotel has some dogs which are so cute and it makes your stay unforgettable as it is all very nature based and animal friendly. Just perfect for people (us included) who likes nature and animals :) To sum it up, the hotel is soooo great and you will not regret it if you book it, actually it’s better than described. We had an unforgettable stay there and will come definitely again! "

Elwood Premier Resort Phu Quoc

"We had good stay at Elwood with our family and a group of friends. We really like the bedrooms and the beautiful garden. The staffs were nice and flexible Minor thing was the room arrangement. We booked a family bungalo with two bedrooms and a kitchen. It turned out the kitchen was outside, not in between the bedrooms. Because of this inconvenience, The kitchen were dirty because nobody use them, even the cleaners did not clean it. Therefore, we did not use it either, even they have all the kitchen equipment!"

Coco Palm Beach Resort & Spa
Ong Lang,Ong Lang - View on map
"This wonderful small hotel is family run by a family without hotel experience but they compensate it with a very friendly atmosphere. They have luckily hired a receptionist with some experience but evenso they managed to double-book rooms so we did have to change room twice. The 11 bungalow rooms are better than the pictures shown by Agoda and the garden is fantastic and will be even better. They work constantly with the garden and are also building some more bungalows. They have the best part of Ong Lang beach which is much better than Long Beach where we also stayed. They could without problem double the number of rooms without the place being crowded but I hope they dont because now it is perfect for couples/families who want to relax. If you want to party go somewhere else. It is far to the city so you have to take a taxi. On the other hand you can afford to take a taxi every day. It will anyhow be cheaper than a hotel on Long Beach. The reastaurant service is not very quick but again friendly. The free breakfast is limited but extension cheap. English knowledge is limited to poor. Spa mentioned in Agoda page dont exist. The new international airport is on the other side of town so the taxi cost is min US$ 20"
