Good location, walking distance into town, clean, no bathroom issues, hotel staff very friendly and attended to our needs & requests. The hotel restaurant food was not the best, but still had a great time during their happy hour. Our stay at Vela was cut short because of Tropical Storm Falcon, so instead of 4 days we only stayed 2 full days. Was hoping to get a partial refund for the first 2 days but Vela did not allow for that.

Beware of stairs”

The place is great with warm and friendly staff. The only thing i didnt like was the flight of stairs. I had to climb 105 steps every day to get to my room and after a long day of scuba diving and island hopping, it was quite a pain. If you wake up past 8am too, breakfast choices are small since they dont refill it often. But other than that, it was a great hotel accommodation. We were able to walk to the dive shop and a few of the restaurants within 10mins.

Best Hotel in Coron”

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights, the hotel is very nice, they have clean rooms, very accommodating staffs, free welcome drinks, yummy Filipino buffet breakfast, and more. They also arranged our airport transfer for only 150/pax one way. Btw, The hotel is one tricycle away from the town proper. Overall experience is 5/5 ⭐️ highly recommendable and We’ll Surely book here again. 👍🏻😊

Let's get the CONS out of the way. Many steps just to check in, and more to get to your room. Not handicap friendly. Wifi only works in the areas around the front desk and restaurant. The mobile wifi for the room is weak. PROS: Excellent staff that was friendly and accommodated our requests. Location is far enough away from the noisy busy main street, but close enough by tricycle or a nice 10-15 minute walk. Rooms were clean when we arrived. I was lucky to have a nice view of the bay. No pool or gym, but the Spartan Gym is a block up the road. Moped rental place down the road and 10 minute walk from Mt Tapyas stairs. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh with a cook standing by to make custom omelettes for us. Always a great start in the morning, as it is included. Well worth the money, as their staff really know hospitality.

The location is around 10 min walking to the town. The staff is accommodating and friendly. One thing i dont like is i have to climb stair down and up, because we stayed on the 4th floor room. The dishes at the resturant is so so.

The Staffs is very friendly.. I am sorry for them that they have to carry our heavy diving bag to the 4th floor by stairs.. because this hotel don't have any elevator or lift.. and our room is up to the hill.. We are really thankful about it.. The hotel was fully booked when we stay there.. The food is good.. and this hotel is near to the good sea food restaurant... its about 5 mins walking only..

Staff were so nice from the moment you arrive, drinks on hand as you check in. Breakfast was also good and ready made sandwich on early departure. Wouldnt normally review but i think it deserved

The biggest standout during our stay was the front desk staff, Camille and Marvin! They were so accommodating and quick to attend to our requests. :) An update re the WiFi situation at the hotel: they now provide 1 pocket WiFi per room during your whole stay, at no extra cost! You can bring it with you even outside the hotel, and the WiFi signal is very good while in your room. Thank you Vela for the great stay!

Friendly staff and great location”

The staff are superb and go out of their way to help! Even without us asking, they went to our room to hand us an umbrella because it was raining so hard. Room has strong AC, which is a relief after a hot day outside. The only downside is that there are no lifts and if you are unlucky enough to get a room on the 4th floor (like us!), the trek can be quite exhausting on a daily basis.

What made me love Vela Terraces was its ambiance and the very warm welcoming of of their staff. As a solo traveler and a first timer in Coron, it served as my home away from home for 4 days. Had a chat with the waiters, the front desk, and their chef – which made me felt more comfortable. Aside from that, it’s a walk away (if you love walking) from Mt. Tapyas and the town, so that’s also a plus! Will definitely go back to Coron and stay in Vela Terraces. Highly recommendable with its clean rooms, super accommodating/friendly staff, convenient location, good food, and, as what I’ve said, your home in Coron away from home.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff were super friendly, they even served us with a welcome drink which was so refreshing considering it was 32 degrees. all staff are very welcoming and accommodating with requests for tours and where too eat. I would definitely stay here again even though it was a 10 minute walk into the heart of Coron town.

quiet and clean ”

nice and peaceful hotel, not too noisy like in middle of Coron town. There's a lot of space in the room, and very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful to get what we asked( for tour). Only thing that I found it's not convenient is the wifi that can use only in lobby area. (but hotel told us already when we booked)

The staff made our stay exceptional. They are very accommodating and sweet. Our favourite is Kuya Marvin. He is helpful and patient. We like the location as well. Not too far from the busy town but relatively close that we can walk or take a tricycle (which the front desk gladly calls for us). Only downside is the stairs. The steps can be unforgiving when you are tired (or drunk). Fortunately, the staff will definitely help you carry heavy things (ie. Luggage). They will also bring you breakfast in your room if you are hang over. Really exceptional customer service. We will come back again. 😊

The place is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed there for 2 nights. The room is clean and well maintained. I organized a surprise to my partner and the staff helped me in preparing things. They also recommend places to visit in Coron. The food is good but a little bit pricey. Overall, our stay is awesome. Will recommend this place to other travellers. They also arranged our transfer to airport.

I would highly recommend this place to my friends who would like to visit coron. We arrived late due to delayed flights schedule from Manila and the staffs are very welcoming, accommodating and very polite. The rooms are clean and spaceous. The morning buffet breakfast was delicious. Overall, it was a nice 3 days stay in this hotel. ps: A big thank you for the last minute surprising and singing a birthday song to my husband! You made his birthday get away extra special!! 😘👌👍💞👏

We had a great 4 day stay at Vela Terraces. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Friendly and accomodating staff, clean facilities. We only have 2 concerns. The dreaded stairs. Our room was located on the 4th floor. We had to take the stairs everyday, i hope they couldve put small steps on the stairs. Most steps were very high. If you are travelling with small children, old people and handicapped this hotel is not recommended. Since they dont have elevators. In-house food is very expensive. Even if you buy 1 juice or bottled water you'll be charged with 12% VAT and 5%Service charge haha! But overall id give this hotel a 4 star rating total.

We stayed in a deluxe queen room in first floor. The room is near the restaurant but it wasn't noisy at all. All staff are friendly and accomodating. The hotel is very beautiful. Going to town is easy, about 10-15 minutes walk. We just walked to town during the night to buy souvenirs, just followed google map. Some part of the road is dark but it is safe. We ride tricycle to go back, just say the hotel name, everyone knows it. Room is very clean and spacious. Comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. The only thing it lacks for me are (disposable) indoor slippers, but still, it was a great hotel. They also have board games displayed on the reception, you can borrow them to play in your room. We borrowed jengga, it was fun hahah. Would definitely stay here next time.

Not worth the money”

First, they charged my credit card the cancellation fee despite making an unintentional mistake due to the pay to the property option instead of pay using card. Second, the staff is polite but not not accommodating. Room is ok, hot shower not working properly. Breakfast is average, i would expect a buffet at this price range. There are better options. Overall, not a bad experience but not worthy either.
