Too good”
Stayed for total of 5 days before and after a 5 day horse riding trek. Older lady so unsure of staying at a hostel. THIS hostel was lovely. Plenty of privacy in your pod. Warm and very clean with comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms, plenty hot water. Common areas clean, spacious, comfortable. Free waffles for breakfast plentiful and yummy (tip, pop to close minimart and buy bananas for topping), syrup for choc sauce provided. Didn't much like free veg soup for dinner, but plenty of eateries close by. Easy walk from Camp St hub public bus from airport. Staff (multi cultural) excellent and helpful. Stayed in 3 different rooms, all good, but preferred the lower pod. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Not a party hostel which made it a very pleasant economical experience.

Great place”
I stayed there for 4 nights in a 6 person mixed room. The pod/bed was comfortable with plenty of room, and the room itself was spacious with your own wooden locker/cupboard. Take your own padlock or you can buy them at the front desk if you feel inclined. Great facilities! Large kitchen, all the gear you need to cook and 3 large fridges, and bathrooms were clean and tidy. The location is great with even a view of the lake from the balcony. Its only a few minutes walking and you are in the heart of Queenstown. I would certainly recommend this place for a cheap and cheerful place to stay with welcoming staff. Bonus!! they provide towels also :-)

My first hostel and such an awesome experience ”
Stayed for 4 nights my first time in staying in a hostel. As a solo traveller I wanted to keep my costs down and have the pleasure of other people’s company. Tahuna Pod Hostel was amazing the staff were so helpful and welcoming of me, the double bed pod apartments (shared double* 4) spacious warm and clean as were the bathroom and showers. The Lounge & Kitchen Area has lots of space, facilities and a real good vibe. I would often spend an hour or so there of an evening. Definitely would stay there again - location makes it so great for town.

Best choice, we keep returning ”
Great choice, we have returned 3 times now. Prices at the moment are fantastic for Queenstown! Staff have been fantastic each time, the whole place is kept remarkably clean, facilities are great (well equipped kitchen, plenty of bathrooms with decent pressure hot showers) It’s a great location, everything in town is so close. The pod style beds give that little bit more privacy and peace in the rooms. Just great, we will keep coming back. Thank you

What a way to kick off the vacation”
A wonderful hostel that reminds me a lot of capsule hotels that I stayed in Tokyo. The bathroom and shower rooms were clean and the bedding provided was very comfortable. They also have a solid waffle breakfast included every morning, perfect for those who don't wanna blow their budgets in Queenstown.

Amazing hostel”
I booked for 2 nights but ended up staying there for 4 nights. The kitchen, lounge, balcony and bathrooms were clean and tidy all the time. The pod was clean and comfy and couldn't be better. Great location. Perfect for price. One of the best hostels in New Zealand!

When i go to queenstown, always stay here”
Always satisfied to stay here because car park(but need to go early to park my car otherwise it will be full), good location and clean. Also, it is pod style dorms so feels like i am staying my own bedroom. Thank you. If we go to queenstown again, we will definitely book again here:) See you.

Great Hostel”
Highly recommended place to stay in Queesntown for budget wise. We stayed total 3 nights. Great location with just distance walking around town, comfortable and spacious pod for double bed. Clean room and toilet and cooking utensils are provided. Free parking, free breakfast and soup in the evening. Love it!

Amazing experience at tahuna ”
I arrived a bit early prior to check in met Holly at reception, it was no problem leaving my luggage while I went to get breakfast - the staff gave some amazing places to eat for both breakfast/ brunch and dinner. The room was immaculate and you have your own privacy with a curtain, light and usb connection. The free breakfast is also amazing (for me toast and a coffee) and the free soup in the evening is a great idea. Overall I would definitely come back and most definitely recommend. Keep up the great work!

Good Hostel in great location”
Easy to walk to restaurants/bars and grocery. Stayed in the private room which was small but the bed was super comfortable. Sound proofing wasn’t the best but not a loud place overall. Bathrooms were good, hot shower! Kitchen was well organized with storage areas and cook stations.

Great for a group ”
We were a group of 6 friends so this place was so perfect. We used a pod with 6 single beds the first night so that was perfect. Our final night after the Routeburn trek we did 4 double beds in the penthouse, we were 2 couples and 2 singles so again perfect, that second room was a bit more as it could house 8 but so nice for our group with a kitchen rooftop terrace to celebrate out successfull trek!

Best hostel I've stayed in”
I have stayed in both a private room and in a shared one and there is not much difference. The bunk could be completely isolated with a thick curtain and it had a shelf inside for belongings with a lamp and outlet for charging devices. The room had a locker as well (bring your own padlock though). Delicious soup for dinner and a nice breakfast add the dot on the i. The upstairs small shower room could have a shelf for toiletries though.

Lovely hostel centrally located in Queenstown”
We stayed in the double bed-8bed dorm which was great. Super comfy and spacious. The kitchen and showers were extremely clean and the hostel provided free soup at night and free waffles in the morning, they are delicious!!

Amazing stay in QT”
Very nice and clean place to stay! The staff was very friendly and the waffles in the morning were a nice surprise. The location is ideal and the free parking spaces are definitely a plus in the centre of QT.

Comfortable Bed, GOod location”
good location, bed was comfortable, enough facilities for everyone, one of the shower+toilet room, the shower had a clog and water unable to drain out. i had to switch to another bathroom and the other bathroom was ok. overall, highly recommended as it is walking distance to the city.

Exceptional”
I’m very appreciative with this hostel because my friend forgot her belongings here and we checked out here for 1 day. While I was contacting the hostel by E-mail, a staff replied E-Mail and tried to help us to look for them. Eventually, I came back to the hostel again and the staff kept all of them for her. Thank you very much for your help. I’ll recommend this hostel to my friends certainly.

Excellent Value”
The beds were super comfortable. They offer free fresh waffles for breakfast and free soup for dinner. The hostel is just a short walk from i site and there is a four square just 100 metres away from the hostel.

Best hostel in Queenstown”
Everything makes you feel so comfortable in the hostel, a small room with Netflix if you wanna chill, free soup after 6 pm and quite delicious, free popcorn to watch movies and free pancakes for breakfast, the beds are big and really comfortable.

The Best Hostel I've Ever Stayed In! ”
Location was just awesome, maybe a 5 minute walk from the Wharf, 3 minutes from Fergburger and a minute away from the grocery. The free waffles and coffee were pretty awesome. Veggie soup at night too. I also love how you can really cook at the kitchen and ever the other guests were nice
