Lovely clean rooms, kitchen was quite dirty as people don’t clean up after themselves but that’s not staffs fault. We enjoyed this stay.

Wonderful Service and Great Accomodation for the Price”
I only stayed a week in Queenstown, and this was only a little more expensive than a hostel for the deal I was getting, but the experience was 100 times better than what I would've gotten. It's right next to the bus stop heading into Queenstown (about a 15 min ride), the staff were all super friendly, maid service was very nice, and just having my own comfortable room and bathroom was a fantastic plus. Definitely recommend!

First Queenstown Visit”
Fantastic Sized Room with kitchenette and adequate bathrooms, very warm (April) at night. Beds were very uncomfortable though they had pushed two singles together and zipped them together - we discovered that they had zipped the bed upside down too haha Could do with a big clean up , fresh paint and carpets etc but other than that no concerns Kitchen amenities were super useful!!! Great location with stunning views. Would stay here again!

Rare affordable accommodation in Queenstown. If you can handle the number 2 timetable of the local buses - trip from airport to lodge = $3.50 (1 adult & child) grab a Go card $5 (min top up $10) and trips to town/airport are $2. Room had everything needed, although given a password for free Wifi it ended prior to my checkout and I had important business report to access & print. However, they were very helpful and accomodating giving

TV set in our room was shocking and the reception was very poor with a lot of interference,especially on channel 1. We complained to reception who were very helpful and replaced our set. We were still having problems with reception on the TV and once again reception came and reset TV, but that didn't solve the problem, we could only watch limited channels. The Wi Fi was very slow and cellphone coverage was basically non existant. We put our notice out to have room serviced and arrived back at 3.30pm to find it hadn't been done, so had to contact reception who came and replaced towels, supplies etc.

Needs some TLC”
I stayed here for one night and was not very impressed, the room was very dated and in need of some work. The walls had scuff marks and paint coming off on parts, the carpet looked dirty and there was a hole in the ceiling outside our room. The staff were lovely thought and it was in a great location.

Great Location, Great Rooms & Great Price”
We stayed at Shotover Lodge for 3 days in August 2011. The hotel is located about 5kms from Queenstown city. Our room was spacious and really clean. There were plenty of things to around the hotel as well. The hotel had a kitchen and a laundry and we found them to be very convenient. However, the view was not that great when compared to some other places in Queenstown.

it takes only few minutes of driving from Queenstown. The room is big and clean; and the area around is quiet. The lodge has a communal kitchen and you can use it to prepare your meal. Rather staying at Queenstown, I will definitely recommend staying at Shotover Lodge.

Awesome spot”
Located around our kilometres outside of Queenstown, Shotover lodge is located just before the turn off to Coroner Peak. We were very satisfied with the hotel during our stay and we couldn't fault the place for value. Would recommend to others looking for a budget place on be outskirts of Queenstown.
