Excellent Staff”

Sherwood Residence is a great hotel, however it is not convenient to find any provision shop by walking at night. We feel unsafe as we are advised to take taxi so we give up. We travel as a group of 5 girls. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 toilets. It feels like a serviced apartment. There is free shuttle bus to some tourist attractions. Front desk staff and shuttle driver are great. Front desk staff speak very fluent English. They are very professional and passionate. We have an incident of loss item at at our dining place and the staff go the extra mile to help us communicate and update the situation. It is also evident that when the staff count is low, the night shift front desk staff double up as bellboy. It is great to see that they have responsibility, ownership and teamwork in the hospitality industry. WiFi works perfectly well too. It is great to stay at Sherwood Residence at Ho Chi Minh. Indeed a high star rating hotel. Thanks.

Great Family Holiday place”

Our family of four stayed here in October 2016. True value for money. The accommodation is luxurious. We originally booked a 2 bedroom apartment but were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment. They are spacious rooms comfortable beds. Have their own kitchen are and laundry facilities. There is a fantastic pool on the ground floor, gym and a games room. There is a local supermarket out the back door that you can stock up essential items. The restaurant and breakfast area is very clean and have a wide range of delicious food. The staff are very friendly and always available to assist with any query. They also offer a free shuttle service in and out of the city area where the shopping places are located. Happy to recommend the Sherwood to any family travelling to Ho Chi Minh City. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

Great Service Apartment even for short term”

I frequently stay at the Sherwood Residence when I am in Ho Chi Minh City. Excellent service apartment and staff. The restaurant menu has greatly improved and eating at the Hotel is very convenient. Cannot always say that about the hotels I stay in. You also get a full kitchen with washer and dryer and a COOP grocery store is just across the street from the rear exit of the hotel

Great value ”

We recently stayed at Sherwood Residence for 4 nights. After 3 previous visits to Ho chi minh staying at Somerset we thought we would try somewhere different. Rooms were quite large and clean, a little dated but not too bad. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety and plenty of it. Only negative was the beds were very firm. Overall I would thoroughly recommend and would definitely stay here again

Clean, spacious, excellent staff ”

Stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and clean. They have a variety of TV programmers, even cartoons. My young children had fun playing in the kid’s room and children pool. The pool attendant cleans the pool every morning. Breakfast spread was average. I particularly enjoyed the iced coffee (upon request). The security guards are all very polite. One guard, Khai, was attentive and even warned me to keep my phone (that was in my hand) when walking at the streets as people might snatch it away from me. The washing machine handle broke during our stay and we were supposed to be charged a small fee for the repair cost. Upon request, the hotel kindly waived the cost for us. There’s a supermarket at the back of the hotel which made it convenient to grab any snacks or necessities that you might need if you have forgotten to bring. As the hotel is located at district 3 while most of the shopping or activities etc is at district 1, some $ is spent on taking grab which is about VND35000-60000. I highly recommend taking grab than taxis as the cost of the journey is fixed, rather than relying on meter which can turn out to be more expensive than grab sometimes due to jam and peak hours. Do note that the taxi will try to rip you off at the airport. Thankfully, I read reviews and the cost of going to Sherwood from the airport should be around VND130,000 by meter (VINASUN). The first taxi I encountered wanted to charge me VND400,000! All in all, it was a fabulous stay at Sherwood. Thank you and I will return for your service and excellent rooms!

Beautiful”

Upon checking in I alerted the staff I would be checking in late. They were alerted and knew who I was when I showed up. The check I process Which meant no extra stops waiting for other people. was simple and they guided me through the condo style securtity and high-tech elevators- only one stop per ride...The room was large- much larger than any normal hotel room and the kitchen was big enough where I could have cooked at home. Honestly, it felt like a home away from home. The washing machines saved on sending out for clothes cleaning, the kitchen saved on eating out... The comfort of the room made it a great place to get work done while still being comfortable... Only problem was there was an extra cost for Internet (except in the lobby where it was free). Overall the nicest place for me to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Booked through agoda and had to check out early due to business. Lost two nights rent. If booking straight through the hotel - was told they would have refunded.

Recommended hotel to stay”

I very impress Sherwood Residence Hotel because room is very beautiful and price is reasonable to pay. I reserved 2 bedrooms from Agoda Thailand website. When I arrived the hotel, 2-bedroom is fully booked. The hotel arranged upgrading my room to 3-bedroom for me. Moreover, fully kitchen equipment made me very very impressive. I can cook everything I want to eat. Refrigerator is very big, I can store food to bring back to my city. All staff provide exellent services and helpful. Goodluck that I reserve this hotel.

Excellent hotel”

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and it is fabulous. The staff are very attentive and "on the ball", the 3 bedroom we stayed in was like a huge apartment with separate kitchen and washer dryer. The restaurant was very good and so was the swimming pool and gym. I would certainly stay at the Sherwood residence again when we visit Ho Chi Min city.

A comfortable and centrally located hotel”

We really enjoyed our stay at Sherwood. We have stayed there in the past. It is a nice walk into the city centre but alos easy to get a taxi from the hotel. We were upgraded free of charge to a premier apartment and were given free internet access which we really appreciated. Having two small children we thought that staying at Sherwood and getting an apartment with kitchen facilities and washing machine and dryer was a much better option than staying in a hotel where we would usually all be in one room together. We were very happy at this hotel/residences - there was a kids playroom, a baby pool as well as a regular pool, complimentary tea and coffee in the afternoons, a good selection of food at breakfast times, and the staff were very friendly. Sherwood was clean and quiet. Ideal for families. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

This hotel is a godsend for families traveling to Ho Chi Minh City. Our 3 bedroom apartment was amazing. Great views over the city, very clean, spacious, comfortable and with a kitchen. Restaurant staff are lacking in some customer service. Reception and bell staff were amazing and very helpful. Hotel offers free shuttle service to tourist attractions which was very helpful. Overall a great hotel for families and we'd certainly stay here again.

Cosy & comfortable place to stay”

This is the first time we visit HCMC, actually we didn't have any idea or expectations about the hotels in the city. Though Sherwood Residence does not have grand and luxury decorations like many 5-star hotels do, it provides a cosy, warm and home-like feel which other 5-star hotels don't have. We are a group of 3 persons including my husband and his mother, we booked a 2-bedroom executive apartment, the size is just fit for 3 persons, the size is spacious and the setting is very warm and comfortable. There is full amenities in the apartment including a washing machine and dryer which I found that it is the most convenience facility. The location is good as there is a supermarket behind the hotel. For visiting the famous sight-seeing points, it takes around 10 to 15 minutes walk which is acceptable for us. The staff including the receptionists in the lobby, shuttle bus driver, restaurant waiters, workman in the repairing team, staff in the swimming pool are very helpful and polite, their English level are very good too. The only bad side is there is no free internet in-room service which is quite inconvenience. Anyway, if you are looking for a spacious and comfortable place to stay with, Sherwood Residence is definitely a good choice.

The best option for family in Saigon ”

Located in district 3 but very close to district 1 and only about half a km from the cathedral. The 3-bedroom unit that we had was spacious, very clean and beautifully appointed and decorated. The staff was extremely helpful and the service was exceptional. We stayed at the Sherwood Residence 3 times for a total of 10 nights during our trip to Saigon between our excursions to different parts of Vietnam, and every time coming back to Sherwood, we felt like coming home. We definitely will be staying here when we are in Saigon.

Home away from home”

The suite is huge. Suitable for a family of 4. Modern and comfortable. Traffic is generally bad in Ho Chi Minh City most of the time so being in district 3 is a bit of a pain but you can generally get to district 1 in about 15-20 mins. Not much around in walking distance but then the hotel has everything you might need anyway.

Exceptional”

Sherwood Residence was a wonderful "home away from home" for my family and I. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had every amenity we needed during our stay. One 3 bedroom room had ample room for a family of 5. The kitchen had a good sized refrigerator and the washer and dryer was a huge help for us as we ended our VN tour in Saigon. The facility is located in close proximity to a market, shopping, many dining choices, and a short walk to key sightseeing and other shopping areas. The facility staff is very professional and the facility itself is safe for your family. We would definitely like to stay again at Sherwood Residence in HCMC.

Superb family accommodation”

Our family of 5 (including 3 young children) just completed a 7 night stay at the Sherwood Residence and had a really lovely time. We found the apartment very clean and spacious and enjoyed the full kitchen facilities as well as the laundry. The location is fantastic - close to the city attractions and there is a free shuttle bus provided by the hotel. There is a supermarket across the road which was also great. We enjoyed the pool, gym and especially the kids play room. This was large, had lots of toys for young children and was so safe/padded. The staff were very helpful and kind. Overall a wonderful experience for our family.

Had everything we needed with exceptional staff”

Every day was jam packed for us with sightseeing and experiencing everything Ho Chi Minh had to offer so it was really nice to come back to a relaxing hotel that had everything we needed. Big thanks goes out to the Sherwood for making our stay in Ho Chi Minh so enjoyable

Clean, spacious, good service, excellent facilities ”

Staying in Sherwood Residence was a good choice for our big group of over 20 people. There were many staff member attending us during check in which made the whole process quick and smooth. The rooms were very spacious, big master bedroom with big bathroom with double vanity. Kitchenette was very useful for us. The co op market behind the hotel was quite useful for us, busy with locals too. You can access it from the back entrance of the hotel through the pool and crossing the street (safer from crossing signal). One the front desk staff member name Phat was quite exceptional in providing service to us during check in and especially during check out. He had approached us the day before we check out and had suggested to leave our bags at the hotel after check out and we can use the shower facilities at the pool before we go to the airport. Overall our stay was very enjoyable, definitely will recommend to anyone. The hotel was super clean, all the appliances works well.

Great quality hotel with top service”

Stayed for 2 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment, very spacious with full kitchen facilities if needed. really comfortable lounge area, and great beds. separate air conditioning throughout unit which kept if nice and cool. Good breakfast plenty to choose from. Location was just out of the main part of ho chi minh but still within walking distance to some restaurants etc and taxi's were easy to get and very cheap. Nice pool and great wifi. Overall decor is very fancy, and everywhere is very clean. Best part of hotel was the staff, they all spoke very good english and were very helpful. Would highly recommend and stay here again.

A DEFINITE Recommendation to those coming to Ho Chi Minh City”

The attentiveness to hotel guests' care was top notch!! Housekeeping and reception attended to us on two occasions even bothering to tell us they would be a little late!! I stayed in a 2 Bedroom-Executive which was VERY spacious and it was located within 15 minutes drive to the main city. There was even a supermarket behind the hotel where guests could conveniently get their supplies. I reiterate my title - A DEFINITE RECOMMENDATION TO WOULD BE TRAVELLERS TO HO CHI MINH CITY!!!
